Disclosed herein are a scheduling apparatus and method. The scheduling apparatus includes a network topology configuration unit and a scheduling unit. The network topology configuration unit configures a network topology that connects nodes to which rank values have been allocated based on a sink node. The scheduling unit schedules data transmission over an uplink and a downlink in a first region and a second region defined in each slot frame based on the rank values obtained based on the sink node. The first region and the second region have different time offsets within the slot frame.

Scheduling method and apparatus

Provided is a scheduling method of a multi-user multi-input multi-output (MIMO) communication system. The scheduling method includes transmitting a channel state information request signal to a user equipment when data to be transmitted to the user equipment is received, and calculating, by the user equipment receiving the channel state information request signal, an effective channel gain of the user equipment, determining whether channel state information (CSI) is capable of being transmitted, and transmitting the CSI of the user equipment according to a result of the determining. Also, the scheduling method includes determining whether the CSI is received from the user equipment within a predetermined standby time, and when the CSI is received within the predetermined standby time, performing scheduling of the user equipment which has transmitted the CSI, determining whether a degree of freedom remains, and transmitting the channel state information request signal to another user equipment, from which CSI is not received, when the degree of freedom remains.

Scheduling method of multi-user multi-input multi-output communication system

A method of mobile video streaming according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes three parts. The first part is for AP to measure the information of all clients such as ETX (Expected Transmission count metric) and RSSI (Receive Signal Strength Indicator) periodically for long-term channel quality and mobility patterns of each client. In the second part, AP estimates the buffer status, short-term channel quality, and mobility detection of each client based on only feedback from the target client and first part result. And lastly, AP performs a practical online scheduling to select the best network code set satisfying high Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR), a standard metric of video quality, during a GoP (Group of Picture) at all clients based on I-frame priority.

Mobile video streaming enhancement in a network coding-capable wireless network

Provided is a method for WLAN service performed by an access point (AP) in a WLAN system including the AP and a plurality of stations (STAs) each of which can associate with the AP, the method comprising: dividing frequency bandwidth of available channel into a plurality of frequency-selective subchannels; receiving, from at least some STAs (first STAs) among the plurality of STAs, CRQ (Contention Resolution reQuest) frame including a signature of the first STAs through at least some of the subchannels, the signature identifying the first STAs; identifying the first STAs using the received CRQ frame; estimating uplink channel quality of the first STAs using the received CRQ frame; allocating subchannels for each of the first STAs; and broadcasting result of subchannel allocation using CRP (Contention Resolution rePly) frame.

The present invention relates to a network management system for analyzing Internet application traffic. An apparatus for Internet application traffic classification benchmark according to the present invention configures two or more Internet application traffic classifications in plug-in scheme to perform a benchmarking function for the performance of each Internet application traffic classification. The apparatus can provide an objective and accurate evaluation for each classification technology by aggregating various Internet application traffic classification technologies by the plug-in scheme.

Apparatus for network traffic classification benchmark

In the wireless mesh network including a sender, a receiver, and a plurality of access points disposed between the sender and the receiver, available transmission paths between the sender and the receiver are determined; transmission expected values are calculated for the transmission paths; and a transmission path having a minimum transmission expected value is set as an actual transmission path. The transmission expected value is a sum of expected transmission counts, which is a reciprocal of multiplication of forward transmission success rate and backward transmission success rate of a communication link between the nodes disposed on the transmission paths. When an access point can transmit a packet concurrently with another access point, the expected transmitted count is reduced by half.

Routing method for wireless mesh networks and wireless mesh network system using the same

Provided are a method and system for detecting a bot in a Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) online and in real time. By analyzing a communication pattern between a client and a server, the bot is detected based on parameters such as data length, inter-arrival time and data length auto correlation. Tests using respective parameters are combined to construct a global decision scheme, and thus more accurate detection results can be obtained. An integrated anti-bot defense system can be built by combining other tests such as a Turing test.

Provided is an association control method for maximizing a message in message (MIM) function in a WLAN environment. According to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, when all SINR values of transmission links to two or more first clients associated with the first access point are equal to or more than a predetermined capture threshold, SINR value of a transmission link to a second client associated with the second access point is less than the capture threshold, and at least one of the first clients, referred to as a third client group, can be associated with the second access point, associations are modified so that the third client group is associated with the second access point to enable concurrent transmission.

Wireless network system and association control method thereof

The present invention relates to a WLAN virtualization system which is capable of efficiently separating a Basic Service Set (BSS) into a plurality of virtual BSSs in a Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) manner. The WLAN virtualization system includes an Access Point (AP) for providing a plurality of vBSSs, and a plurality of stations corresponding to the vBSSs provided by the AP. Each of the vBSSs is operated on a superframe basis, the superframe being scheduled by a beacon frame transmitted from the AP. The superframe includes the beacon frame, one contention-free period, and one contention period. The CPs of the vBSSs include intervals which do not overlap each other. The vBSSs can be classified into any groups designated by a service provider based on certain criteria such as physical layer, QoS, security level, or network access authority, and times can be allocated to superframes at different rates or frequencies.

Access point for providing WLAN virtualization, WLAN virtualization system and method of providing access to wireless communication network

A lossless handover method in vehicular wireless networks is disclosed which is capable of reducing a handover delay and reducing overhead caused by duplicate address detection (DAD) for a new Care-of-Address (CoA) by dividing a handover process into handover at road-sections and handover at intersections. In the handover method, a vehicle continues to use an original CoA configured at an original access router at road-sections even though an AR is changed, thereby reducing a handover delay. A new CoA is configured only at intersections to reduce a binding update time of a home agent which is remotely present in an external network at road-sections. When performing the DAD for a new CoA at intersections, since the vehicle performs the DAD as a background process while performing communication using an original CoA, overhead caused by the DAD can be reduced.
