A process of augmenting images of incident scenes with object descriptions retrieved from an audio stream. In operation, an electronic computing device detects an object of interest in an image captured corresponding to an incident scene and identifies an audio stream linked to an incident identifier of an incident that occurred at the incident scene. The electronic computing device then determines whether the audio stream contains an audio description of the detected object of interest. When it is determined that the audio stream contains the audio description of the detected object of interest, the electronic computing device generates a visual or audio prompt corresponding to the audio description of the detected object of interest and plays back the visual or audio prompt via a corresponding display or audio-output component communicatively coupled to the electronic computing device.

Device and method for augmenting images of an incident scene with object description

A process for operating an electronic computing device to assign video streams to watcher devices. The electronic computing device detects objects of interest within a field-of-view of a camera as a function of incident context information. The electronic computing device obtains video display characteristics associated with watcher devices and further determines, based on respective positions of the objects of interest within the field-of-view, a plurality of sub-regions each enclosing at least one of the detected objects of interest and having one or more video attributes. The electronic computing device then assigns, based on the video display characteristics associated with the watcher devices and the video attributes of the sub-regions, each of the sub-regions to a respectively selected one of the watcher devices. The video streams respectively captured corresponding to each of the assigned sub-regions of interest are then transmitted to the respectively selected one of the watcher devices.

A method and apparatus for determining an individual's identity who has authority to add a user to a talkgroup (approver) is provided herein. During operation, a context of a user requesting access to a talkgroup is determined. Past contexts for individuals who have requested access to past talkgroups are determined along with past approvers who approved adding the individual to the talkgroup. The current context is used to find similar past contexts and the past approver for the similar past context. The past approver is then used to authorize the current request for approving joining of the talkgroup.

A process for providing a time-compressed preview of a pre-buffered video during a push-to-video (PTV) communication session. A video communication device detects a PTV activation command and analyzes a pre-buffered video to detect objects of interest. The video communication device then establishes a PTV communication session with a second video communication device to transmit a time-compressed preview of the pre-buffered video in which some of the video segments in which the objects of interest appear are configured for accelerated playback at the second video communication device. The video communication device transmits a live PTV stream for synchronous playback at the second video communication device only after the transmission of the time-compressed preview of the pre-buffered video is completed.

A current mode receiver front end for a radio device converts a received signal into a current mode signal and applies automatic gain control by both shunting current of the current mode signal and providing an adjustable series resistance that further adjust the current level of the current mode signal that is output by the receiver front end. The shunt and series circuits can be controlled by a digital control word whose value represent a decibel value of adjustment, and which is used to drive the shunt and series circuits to achieve both coarse and fine adjustment of the current mode signal.

Method and apparatus for automatic gain control in a current mode RF receiver

A post-mixer amplifier device which receives and processes signals for use in a software-defined radio integrated circuit is provided. The post-mixer amplifier device includes but is not limited to a voltage amplifier having first and second inputs and a first output, a positive signal output connected with the first output of the voltage amplifier, and a positive signal input connected with a first bipolar junction transistor along a first pathway. The first bipolar junction transistor includes but is not limited to a first collector connected with a the first input of the voltage amplifier and a first emitter connected with an second output of the push-pull unity gain follower and forming a first current feedback pathway. The first bipolar junction transistor is driven with a passive resistive load.

Latch circuit and clock signal dividing circuit comprises sequentially connected latch circuits. Each latch circuit has D-type latch with latch clock input, data input and data output. A difference detector is coupled to D-type latch, and has a difference output that provides a difference signal when data at input is different than data at output. Each latch circuit has an edge triggered gate that has gate clock input, output coupled to latch clock input and gate control input coupled to difference output of difference detector. In operation, when both a transition of clock signal supplied at gate clock input is detected by edge triggered gate, and the difference signal is provided to gate control input, will edge triggered gate allow an edge of a clock signal supplied at gate clock input to determine logic values supplied to latch clock input. As a result, data at input is transferred to output.

An RF switching circuit that incorporates a film bulk acoustic resonator (FBAR) device and one or more capacitors that are used to vary the capacitance of the FBAR device to change the frequency range that is blocked by the FBAR device. When the RF switching circuit is in a first switching state, a first set of RF signals in a first frequency range is blocked by the RF switching circuit while RF signals of other frequencies are passed by the RF switching circuit. When the RF switching circuit is in a second switching state, a second set of RF signals in a second frequency range is blocked by the RF switching circuit while RF signals of other frequencies are passed by the RF switching circuit.
