An electronic device includes a case having an opening, an electronic circuit and a dust cover. The electronic circuit is disposed in the case and includes a circuit board, a switch, and an expansion card slot. The switch and the expansion card slot are electrically connected at the circuit board. The opening exposes the switch and the expansion card slot. The expansion card slot includes an electrical connector used for electrical connection with an expansion card. The dust cover is detachably disposed at the opening. The dust cover includes a cap portion, a press portion and an elastic portion. The cap portion closes the opening. The press portion faces the switch. The elastic portion is respectively connected to the cap portion and the press portion, so the press portion is capable of moving relative to the cap portion and hence has a trigger position and a release position.

Electronic device and dust cover thereof

A communication apparatus equipped with switchable antenna mechanism is provided, where the communication apparatus includes at least a portion of a portable electronic device, which includes a plurality of wireless communication functions respectively corresponding to different communication standards, and the wireless communication functions include a mobile phone function and at least one other wireless communication function. The communication apparatus includes: an antenna; a processing circuit; a plurality of processing modules arranged to provide the portable electronic device with a plurality of functions, respectively, where the functions include at least a portion of the wireless communication functions; and a switching unit. It is an advantage that, by utilizing the switching unit, different portions of the communication apparatus can share the antenna to achieve the best beneficial result through the limited area of a printed circuit board (PCB).

Communication apparatus equipped with switchable antenna

There is provided a portable optical touch system including a first image sensing module, a second image sensing module, a connecting device, a communication interface and a processing circuit. The two image sensing modules have partially overlapped field of views and the partially overlapped field of views is for defining a touch region. The connecting device is configured to adjust or fix a distance between the first and second image sensing modules. When an object is in the touch region, the processing circuit calculates a position of the object according to images of the object acquired by the two image sensing modules and outputs information of the position of the object through the communication interface.

A switching method for an electronic device having sensing regions is mentioned. The switching method is configured to detect signals received by the electronic device, so as to switch the states of the electronic device. The switching method comprises receiving a first signal at a first moment and receiving a second signal at a second moment, wherein the first signal is generated by touching a first sensing region and the second signal is generated by touching a second sensing region; measuring a triggering duration and determining whether the triggering duration is consistent with a predetermined duration, when the first signal and the second signal are inputted simultaneously; switching the electronic device from a first state to a second state, if the triggering duration is consistent with the predetermined duration; and maintaining the electronic device in the first state, if the triggering duration is not consistent with the predetermined duration.

Switching method for electronic device

When a back cover of a mobile communication device with replaceable cover is replaced, the mobile communication device may perform a corresponding application or enable a special function according to the back cover. The mobile communication device includes a back cover and a body including a processing unit, a storage unit, and a second connection interface. The back cover includes an integrated circuit (IC) element and a first connection interface. The IC element has identification information. The storage unit stores at least an application and a mapping table. The mapping table records the corresponding application of each identification information. When the back cover is assembled to the body, the first connection interface is connected to the second connection interface. The processing unit receives the identification information and looks up the mapping table according the identification information. The processing unit enables the corresponding application according to the mapping table.

Mobile communication device and communication method thereof

An electronic device includes a case, a switch, a connecting tray and a moving member. The case has an opening. The switch is disposed in the case and near the opening. The connecting tray is disposed in the case and near the opening. The moving member is disposed on the opening in a movable manner. The moving member includes a pressing portion and a carrying portion. The pressing portion is movably connected to the carrying portion, the carrying portion is for carrying a function card and is plugged in the connecting tray in a detachable manner, and the pressing portion is for moving relative to the carrying portion, thereby triggering the switch.

A portable electrical input device capable of docking an electrical communication device is provided. The input device includes a docking base, image sensors, and a communication interface. The sensing regions of the image sensors define an operation region. An operation pattern is selectively configured in the operation region. The operation region is formed on an operation sheet or projected by an illuminating device. When an object operates in the operation region, the processor connected with the image sensors calculates a position information of the object according the sensed object image. The calculated position information is sent out through the communication interface.

A heat dissipation control system includes an angle detection module and a control module. The heat dissipation control system is adapted for a portable electrical device having a first body and a second body. The angle detection module senses an included angle of the first body and the second body and generates an angle signal corresponding to the included angle of the first body and the second body. The control module, in response to the angle signal, generates a heat dissipation control signal according to the angle signal for enabling at least one of a first heat dissipation policy and a second heat dissipation policy.

Heat dissipation control system for portable electrical device and control method thereof

A portable communication apparatus includes a first antenna radiator, a second antenna radiator, a first feeding point, a second feeding point, and a matching circuit. The first antenna radiator is used for radiating a high-frequency band signal. The second antenna radiator is used for radiating a low-frequency band signal. The first feeding point is coupled to the first antenna radiator and is utilized for processing feed-in or feed-out of the signal of first antenna radiator. The second feeding point is coupled to the second antenna radiator and is utilized for processing feed-in or feed-out of the signal of second antenna radiator. The first feeding point is separate from the second feeding point. The matching circuit is coupled to the first and second feeding points, and used for impedance matching with the first antenna radiator and the second antenna radiator.

Portable communication apparatus

A smart mobile communication device comprises a casing, a touch screen and two sensors. The casing has a front surface and at least two opposite holding surfaces. The front surface is disposed between the at least two opposite holding surfaces. The touch screen is disposed on the front surface to be used as a main operation interface of the smart mobile communication device. The two sensors are disposed on the at least two opposite holding surfaces respectively to be used as secondary operation interfaces of the smart mobile communication device. Accordingly, the convenience for operating the smart mobile communication device can be enhanced.
