An apparatus for authenticating a request includes a receiving unit, an acquiring unit, a determining unit, and a permitting unit. The receiving unit receives a request for a service-related process from a service user via a communication device. The request contains process request information indicating the contents of the requested process and connection identification information unique to the communication device. The acquiring unit acquires the connection identification information contained in the received request. The determining unit determines whether the connection identification information acquired by the acquiring unit exactly corresponds to connection identification information of a communication device that has established an authorized connection. When the two pieces of the connection identification information are determined to exactly correspond to each other, the permitting unit permits performing a process that corresponds to the process request information, which is contained in the request received by the receiving unit.

A billing system is disclosed which performs processing in order to provide service to user terminals, and which performs billing for the service provided to the user terminals. In this billing system, user billing profiles UBP are stored in a user billing profile registration unit, by service type and in user terminal units; a billing condition generation unit within a service provider server compares the user billing profile UBP corresponding to a specified service type and to a user terminal with a server billing profile SBP to generate billing conditions, and a billing condition setting unit of a foreign agent sets the billing conditions in a billing unit; and based on the billing conditions thus set, the billing unit executes billing processing for each user terminal.

Billing system, and device constituting same

A communication system is arranged to efficiently control communications as being conscious of location information of a mobile body. The communication system includes an address list managing unit, a data supplying unit, a call connecting unit, a display unit, and a user interface. The address list managing unit stores and manages an address list about the location of each registered member. The data supplying unit generates data based on the address list so that the data can be disclosed on a Web site. The call connecting unit gives a call to a destination member specified by a user side for controlling a call connection. The display unit displays a screen image of the data to be referenced on the Web site. The user interface is used for specifying a destination member and a communication service type on the screen.
