In a dynamic database association method, a static contact list is dynamically associated with a dynamic instant messenger contact list so that a user of a first database may access a contact list of a second database with associative links between said first and second databases. The user is also prevented from searching both the first and second databases simultaneously. Moreover, in the abovementioned dynamic database association method, a unified user interface is utilized for integrating management of at least two databases, where each of the at least two databases is operated under a different communication network. Therefore, the defect of inconveniencing the user by utilizing different user interfaces for different databases is avoided.

Method of dynamic database association in multi-mode communication device

The invention relates to a method of and a system for transferring a communication session from one service area () to another (), where each service area is associated with a transcoding proxy () for transcoding communication sessions established in said service area to and from a format suitable for a mobile device (). A gateway server () relays the communication session from a content server () via the appropriate transcoding proxy to the mobile device (). When the mobile device () moves to the second service area (), the second transcoding proxy () is contacted and session handling is transferred thereto. The transfer operation is transparent to the content server, so the session between mobile device () and content server () stays intact. The invention also relates to a mobile assistant server, a transcoding proxy and a mobile device for use in said system.

Method and system for transferring a communication session

A mobile communication device is provided for inserting into a charging seat. The charging seat has a reception chamber and a charging circuit with a first coupling section. The mobile communication device includes: an outer casing for inserting into the reception chamber along a predetermined direction, and a first charging port formed at a lateral side surface of the outer casing. When the outer casing is inserted into the reception chamber, the first coupling section of the charging circuit extends into the first charging port in the outer casing to permit the charging circuit to conduct a charging operation.
