The first frame may be configured to trigger a receiver device to send a response frame that comprises buffer status data corresponding to the first wireless traffic stream. The one or more processors may be configured to wirelessly transmit, via a transmitter, the generated first frame to the receiver device.

Systems and methods of wireless triggering buffer status reporting for transmission streams

A first access point (AP) device may include a transmitter and one or more processors. The transmitter may be associated with a first AP corresponding to a first basic service set identifier (BSSID). The one or more processors may be configured to generate a frame including information on a target wake time (TWT) schedule scheduled by a second AP corresponding to a second BSSID. The one or more processors may be configured to set a first subfield of the frame to indicate whether the first BSSID is the same as the second BSSID. The one or more processors may be configured to wirelessly transmit, via the transmitter over a wireless local area network (WLAN), the generated frame.

An extremely high-throughput (EHT) station (STA) encodes a management frame to include a quality-of-service (QoS) capability element that includes a QoS information field configured to signal QoS redundancy capability. The EHT STA may set a QoS redundancy bit in the QoS information field of the QoS capabilities element to indicate (i.e., signal) that the EHT STA supports redundancy for QoS data frames. The EHT STA may include an Extended Capabilities element in the management frame and set a new redundancy indicator bit in the Extended Capabilities element to indicate (i.e., signal) that the EHT STA supports redundancy for a select subset of IEEE802.11 management frames.

In various other embodiments, the AP may indicate such a TID limit in a response for a capability request, such as a Probe Response, or in a specific allocation frame, such as a trigger frame, for all STAs participating in UL MU transmissions. In various embodiments, a single TID limit may be indicated that is understood to apply to each STA. In some other embodiments, the AP may indicate a respective TID limit for each of multiple STAs. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

A first device within a multi-link device having a plurality of wireless links including a first link and a second link, may include one or more processors configured to receive a first frame on the first link while communicating with a second device for transmission of a second frame on the second link. The one or more processors may decode a portion of the first frame to determine a first duration of no medium access. The one or more processors may determine, a second duration comprising a remaining transmission duration on the second link. The one or more processors may determine whether the first duration is greater than or equal to the second duration. In response to the first duration being greater than or equal to the second duration, the one or more processors may defer channel access on the first link until an end of the first duration.

A Quality-of-Service (QoS) Management AP is configured to support QoS Management features and to perform a QoS Management Protocol. The AP decodes an Enhanced Add Traffic Stream (E-ADDTS) Request QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Req) received from a station (STA) to initiate QoS setup for a traffic stream. The STA may be a QoS Management STA configured to support the QoS Management features and perform the QoS Management protocol. The AP may encode, for transmission to the STA in response to the E-ADDTS Req, an E-ADDTS Response QoS Action Frame (E-ADDTS Resp) which includes a status code to indicate whether the QoS setup has been accepted. When the QoS setup is accepted, the E-ADDTS Resp includes a QoS setup ID within a QoS setup ID field in the E-ADDTS Resp that uniquely identifies the QoS setup for the traffic stream.
