A sunroof apparatus includes: a movable panel adapted to open and close an opening formed in a roof of a vehicle; a guide rail provided in each edge portion of the opening in a lateral direction, and including upper and lower flanges extending in the lateral direction and a connecting wall through which the respective outside ends of the upper and lower flanges in the lateral direction are connected to each other in the vertical direction; and a shielding body attached to each edge portion of the movable panel in the lateral direction, and including an extending piece that extends to the outside in the lateral direction while being interposed between the upper and lower flanges, wherein the shielding body includes first and second projections which are provided in the extending piece and can be respectively brought into contact with the upper and lower flanges.

Sunroof apparatus

A roof apparatus for a vehicle includes a shoe member and a support member including an end portion rotatably connected to the shoe member within a predetermined rotation range. One of the end portion of the support member and the shoe member integrally includes first and second vertical wall portions and a support portion including a large diameter portion and a small diameter portion. The other of the end portion of the support member and the shoe member includes a bearing portion pivotally supporting the large diameter portion and including an opening through which an insertion and removal of the small diameter portion is allowed in a state where the support member is positioned out of the predetermined rotation range and through which the insertion and removal of the small diameter portion is prohibited in a state where the support member is positioned within the predetermined rotation range.

A roof apparatus for a vehicle includes a shoe member including a body member integrally including first and second sliding portions and a seat portion, the shoe member including a plate member integrally including a base portion, a stay portion, and first and second fitting portions, an engagement recess formed at the base portion, and an engagement protrusion formed at the seat portion to be elastically deformable and being inserted into the engagement recess. A distance between the first and second sliding portions is specified to be greater than a distance obtained by a sum of a length of the base portion and a projection length of the second fitting portion, and to be smaller than a distance obtained by a sum of the length of the base portion, the projection length of the second fitting portion, and a projection length of the first fitting portion.

A sunroof driving device includes a pair of rail members adapted to be arranged at both edges of a roof opening formed in a vehicle roof in a vehicle width direction and each extending along a vehicle longitudinal direction, a slide member slidably supported by each of the rail members in a longitudinal direction therof, a supporting member connected to the slide member and supporting a movable panel opening and closing the roof opening, a cross-connecting member extending along the vehicle width direction for establishing connection between respective front ends of the rail members, a drive motor arranged at the cross-connecting member and including a rotating shaft extending along the cross-connecting member, a torque wire extending along the cross-connecting member and integrally rotating with the rotating shaft, and a torque-transmitting member rotated by the torque wire and sliding the slide member along each of the rail members.

A roof device for a vehicle is comprised of a first movable panel movable between a normal position which covers a part of the opening portion of the vehicle roof and an operation position in which a rear end portion of the first movable panel is raised with a front end portion of the fist movable panel as a pivoting point, a second movable panel placed at a rear direction of the first movable panel of the opening portion of the vehicle roof, and an edge member placed at the rear end portion of the first movable panel and extended in a width direction of the vehicle. Furthermore, the roof device is characterized in that a first groove portion is formed at the edge member.
