The present disclosure relates to a visual display system for manipulating images of a real scene using augmented reality. In one implementation, the system may include at least one processor in communication with a first mobile device; and a storage medium storing instructions that, when executed, configure the at least one processor to perform operations. The operations may include receiving a request from a mobile device to access an account of a user, receiving a first image depicting a real scene from an image sensor of the mobile device, receiving a selection of a virtual object, receiving an augmented reality image comprising the virtual object overlaid on the first image, comparing the augmented reality image to one or more stored augmented reality images, authenticating the user based on the comparison, and authorizing access to the user account based on the authentication.

Visual display systems and method for manipulating images of a real scene using augmented reality

A system and method for using super geo-fences to improve efficiency of geo-fences is disclosed. A system determines a geo-fence density based on a number of geo-fences in an area around a client system. In response to determining the geo-fence density is greater than a predetermined density value, the system selects a number of geo-fences that is greater than a fixed number of geo-fences that the client system is capable of handling. The system groups the selected geo-fences into a first and second group of geo-fences and generates a super geo-fence that encompasses the first group. The system transmits the first and second group of geo-fences and the super geo-fence to an application stored at the client device. The application adds geo-fence data corresponding to the second group to the client system in response to detecting the client system crossing a boundary of the super geo-fence.

Super geo-fences and virtual fences to improve efficiency of geo-fences

A system and method for using time to reach determinations to improve the usability of geo-fences is disclosed. A computer system accesses a current location of a client system and identifies one or more nearby geo-fences. The computer system then calculates the time to reach each of these geo-fences. If the calculated time to reach value for a particular geo-fence is within the notification range associated with that geo-fence, then the computer system generates a notification to display to a user.

A system and method for using super geo-fences to improve efficiency of geo-fences is disclosed. A server system determines a geo-fence density based on a number of geo-fences in an area around a client system. In response to determining the geo-fence density is greater than a predetermined density value, the server system selects a number of geo-fences that is greater than a fixed number of geo-fences that the client system is capable of handling. The server system groups the selected geo-fences into a first and second group of geo-fences and generates a super geo-fence that encompasses the first group. The server system transmits the first and second group of geo-fences and the super geo-fence to an application stored at the client device. The application adds geo-fence data corresponding to the second group to the client system in response to detecting the client system crossing a boundary of the super geo-fence.

A system to effectuate passive check-in with respect to a user's mobile device is described. A server system may be configured to receive communications from a GPS-enabled mobile device (e.g., a mobile phone), extract a stream of locations from the received communications, and use the location information to determine whether a boundary-crossing event has occurred with respect to the mobile device. In response to detecting a boundary-crossing event, the server may communicate a message, such as a recommendation, to the mobile device.

Passive check-in

Systems and methods for pre-validating a digital image of an identification (ID) card (e.g., a government-issued passport, driver's license, etc.) are disclosed. A mobile computing device captures image(s) of an ID card. In response, a pre-validation system in communication with the mobile computing device analyzes one or more quality features of the image(s), which includes determining, utilizing a trained neural network (trained using a dataset including images that have been accepted by a post-validation platform and images that have been rejected by the post-validation platform) and based on the one or more quality features, whether at least a first image of the captured image(s) is usable by a remote post-validation process. Responsive to the determining that the at least a first image is usable, the mobile computing device transmits the first image to a remote server for post-validation of the identification card.

Government ID card validation systems

A system includes one or more memory devices storing instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the instructions to perform the steps of a method for providing a credentialless login for a user. The system may receive a request for credentialless login from a user of a mobile computing device. The system may then receive an authentication of a user accessing a software application running on a mobile computing device. Responsive to the receipt of the authentication, the system may generate a random one-time passcode associated with an account of the authenticated user and transmit the passcode to the mobile computing device for display to the user. The system may then receive the passcode from a second computing device and responsive to verifying the validity of the access code, grant the second computing device access to the account of the user.

Systems and methods for providing credentialless login using a random one-time passcode

A system may identify attributes of a geofence surrounding a location. The attributes of the geofence may represent merchant characteristics of a brick-and-mortar store and may further represent item characteristics of merchandise items available for sale from the brick-and-mortar store. A subset of users from a plurality of users eligible to receive the geofence may be selected based at least in part on matching the attributes of the geofence to preferences associated with each user among the subset of users. Geofence data representing the geofence may be sent to each of the client devices operated by the subset of the plurality of users. An indication may be received from a client device operated by a user of the user crossing into the geofence based on the geofence data. Lastly, a notification may be presented to the client device operated by the user.
