In one embodiment, a multiwall sheet can comprise: a first wall; a second wall; an intermediate wall disposed between the first wall and the second wall; a first set of ribs disposed between the first wall and the intermediate wall; a second set of ribs disposed between the second wall and the intermediate wall; a cavity disposed between adjacent ribs; wherein the multiwall sheet is configured to expand and/or collapse when a mechanical force (preferably shear force) is applied to the intermediate wall. Preferably the multiwall sheet has a flexural rigidity of greater than or equal to 10 N/mm.

The multiwall sheet has a non-uniform cell density. In another embodiment, a multiwall sheet can comprise: non-intersecting polymer walls comprising outer layers and a transverse layer and/or a divider. The transverse layer and/or the divider extends from one of the polymer walls to another of the polymer walls to form cells. The multiwall sheet has a non-uniform cell density. In yet another embodiment, a multiwall sheet comprises: non-intersecting polymer walls comprising outer layers and transverse layers. The transverse layers intersect the walls to form cells. The multiwall sheet has a different number of inner layers, transverse layers, and/or dividers, in different portions of the sheet. The multiwall sheets can be used, for example, in a naturally light structure.

The panels can include a corrugated sheet material having a corrugated contiguous band horizontally extending at about an end of the top and the bottom, wherein the corrugated contiguous band is complementary and contiguous to the plurality of corrugations of the corrugated sheet panel. The complementary and contiguous corrugated band can be configured to sandwich the sheet material. The panel may also include, individually or in combination, a contiguous band sandwiching the polymeric sheet material at a terminal end of each side and extending vertically from the top to the bottom. The panels provide wind and impact load protection for the opening.
