A five-piece infrared single focus lens system includes, in order from the object side to the image side: a stop, a first lens element with a positive refractive power, a second lens element, a third lens element with a positive refractive power, a fourth lens element, a fifth lens element, wherein a focal length of the first lens element is f1, a focal length of the third lens element is f3, a central thickness of the first lens element along an optical axis is CT1, a central thickness of the third lens element along the optical axis is CT3, a radius of curvature of an object-side surface of the first lens element is R1, a radius of curvature of an object-side surface of the third lens element is R5, satisfying the relation: &#x2212;1.60&#x3c;(f1&#xd7;CT1&#xd7;R1)/(f3&#xd7;CT3&#xd7;R5)&#x3c;2.43. Such a system has a wide field of view, high resolution, short length and less distortion.

Five-piece infrared single focus lens system including five lenses of +&#x2212;+++, +&#x2212;++&#x2212;, or +++&#x2212;+ refractive powers

A three-piece infrared single wavelength projection lens system, in order from an image side to an image source side: a stop; a first lens element with a positive refractive power having an image-side surface being convex near an optical axis and an image source-side surface being concave near the optical axis; a second lens element with a negative refractive power having an image source-side surface being concave near the optical axis; and a third lens element with a positive refractive power having an image-side surface being concave near the optical axis and an image source-side surface being convex near the optical axis. Such arrangements can provide a three-piece infrared single wavelength projection lens system with better image sensing function.

A five-piece optical lens system with a wide field of view includes, in order from the object side to the image side: a first lens element with a negative refractive power, a stop, a second lens element with a positive refractive power, a third lens element with a negative refractive power, a fourth lens element with a positive refractive power, a fifth lens element with a negative refractive power, a radius of curvature of an object-side surface of the second lens element is R3, a radius of curvature of an image-side surface of the second lens element is R4, focal lengths of the system, first, second and fourth lens elements are f, f1, f2, f4, respectively, satisfying the relations: 1.9 mm&#x3c;f+(R3+R4)/(R3&#x2212;R4)&#x3c;2.9 mm, &#x2212;2.0 mm&#x3c;f1/(f2*f4)&#x3c;&#x2212;1.2 mm. Such arrangements can provide a five-piece optical lens system which has a wide field of view, high resolution, short length and less distortion.

A three-piece compact optical lens system includes, in order from the object side to the image side: a flat panel assembly made of glass, a first lens element with a negative refractive power having an object-side surface being concave near an optical axis; a stop; a second lens element with a positive refractive power having an object-side surface being convex near the optical axis and an image-side surface being convex near the optical axis; and a third lens element with a positive refractive power. Such a system can not only effectively collect light at a large angle, receive a wider range of images and achieve identification effects within very short distances, but also can reduce the distance between an object and the three-piece compact optical lens system, reduce the volume effectively and maintain its miniaturization.
