A rotary spindle head with gear reducer is provided, which comprises a rotary spindle unit, a fork-shaped type spindle base and a driving unit. The fork-shaped spindle base is for linking up the rotary spindle unit with a machine tool, and the driving unit comprises a torque motor and a gear reducer which are sited coaxially on the fork-shaped spindle base. The gear reducer is connected to the rotary spindle unit to drive and rotate the rotary spindle unit in the fork-shaped spindle base. The gear reducer is designed to lower decelerating rate. Besides, the input and output of the gear reducer are coaxial design, the torque of torque motor could be magnified to several times and maintain higher rotational speed to do the high speed light cutting and high torque heavy cutting work.

A wire electrical discharge machine (WEDM) including a motion platform, a sink, a workbench, a connecting element, a jib, a first head and a second head is provided. The sink is disposed separately above the motion platform, and the workbench is disposed in the sink. The workbench is connected to the motion platform via the connecting element such that the motion platform drives the workbench moving along a first direction and a second direction. Besides, the jib is fixedly connected with the sink, and the first head is disposed inside the sink and connected with the jib. The second head is disposed above the first head. Thus, the jib does not cause relative motion to the sink in order to avoid leaking.

A swivel spindle head with gear device driven by multiple torque motors is disclosed, which comprises: a tool spindle, having a first shaft and a second shaft being radially disposed at two opposite sides of the tool spindle while sharing a common axial line; a plurality of torque motors, radially disposed at a side of the tool spindle; and a reduction gear set, radially disposed at a side of the tool spindle opposite to the plural torque motors, composed of a plurality of driving gears and a driven gear; wherein the amount of the plural driving gears is the same as that of the plural torque motors while enabling each of the plural driving gears to connect with a rotor shaft of its corresponding torque motor, and the same time, connecting the driven gear on the second shaft of the tool spindle.

A braking device of a linear guide comprises a braking slide seat which is mounted on the guide. The braking slide seat is provided with a braking rod which is provided in the mid-segment with an insertion slot having a tapered bevel and in the rear end with a disk spring for pushing the front end of the braking rod to make a frictional contact with the guide. An urging rod is powered by a hydraulic or a pneumatic source to enter the insertion slot to cause the braking rod to move away from the guide. In the event of a power outage, the urging rod is retreated from the insertion slot, the braking rod is urged by the spring to make a frictional contact with the guide, thereby exerting a braking force on the guide to bring the slide seat to an abrupt halt.

A hollow screw cooling device, which has a set of apertures provided on an oil-proof base on the driven end of the hollow screw. By having fixing screws go through the apertures and the through holes on the bearing press board and fixed on the bearing base, the oil-proof base can be fixed on the outer side of the bearing press board. By directly taking off fixing screws, the oil-proof base can be directly taken off the bearing base when maintaining or replacing the seal without disassembling the components such as the bearing and bearing device.

A method for forming an ESD protection device, with reduced junction breakdown voltages, while simultaneously forming an integrated circuit, containing FET devices, has been developed. This invention features forming a large area, ESD protection diode, by using a first ion implantation step, of a specific conductivity type, also used for the heavily doped source and drain regions of attached FET devices. After photoresist processing, used to mask the attached FET devices, a second ion implantation step, opposite in conductivity type then the first implant, is used to complete the ESD protection diode, for the ESD protection device. This large area diode reduces junction breakdown voltage, while allowing ESD current to be discharged more efficiently then for smaller ESD protection counterparts.

A key feature of its design is that each group of microtips that constitute a pixel is located on the same equipotential surface and a reliable ballast resistor is interposed between the equipotential surface and the cathode line which powers the pixel. An efficient method for manufacturing the display is also described.

Method of making ESD protection device structure for low supply voltage

A positioning mechanism of a turret index which performs index rotation by the use of an index mechanism to transmit output shaft motion and perform positioning by a three-piece toothed coupler. The present invention uses a hydraulic system to control the division and the combination of the three-piece toothed coupling to attain the turret's precise positioning and comprises a piston ring on the output shaft. The area of the piston ring's end plane which is subjected to hydraulic pressure, is greater than the area of the slider's end plane inside the three-piece toothed coupler and its end plane is also subjected to hydraulic pressure. At the same time the three-piece toothed coupler is in meshing, the output shaft can obtain an inward pulling force to prevent the output shaft from propping up only a very small distance.

Positioning mechanism of turret index

A new method for forming an array of high aspect ratio field emitter for flat panel Field Emission Displays (FEDs) was accomplished. The method involves forming on an insulated substrate an array of parallel cathodes and then depositing a dielectric layer and forming a array of parallel gate electrodes essentially orthogonal to the array of cathode electrodes. Opening are then made in the upper gate electrodes and dielectric layer over the lower cathode electrodes. The field emitters with high aspect-ratios are then formed on the cathode by depositing an emitter material, such as molybdenum, in the opening while heating the substrate to high temperatures. The emitter material is removed elsewhere on the substrate by utilizing a release layer and thereby completing the gated field emitter. This high temperature method results in high aspect-ratio gated emitters that allow the inter-electrode dielectric layer to be increased and thereby improving the circuit performance.

Method of manufacturing high aspect-ratio field emitters for flat panel

A tool magazine for use with an automatic machine tool comprising a housing for removably storing tools, a rotatable tool holding disk for rotatingly switching one of the tools between a first position and a second position, the tool holding disk being rotatably supported inside the housing by a shaft about a first axis, and a cam type tool magazine mechanism disposed inside the housing for indexingly rotating the tool holding disk. The cam type tool magazine mechanism is characterized in that it comprises: (1) a follower member having a disk mounted to the shaft so as to be rotatable in unison therewith, the follower member disk having a first surface and a second surface, each of which are rotatably mounted with a plurality of first and second rollers, respectively, in an equally-spaced manner around the first axis; and (2) a drive member comprising a first plate cam and a second plate cam, each being rotatable about a second axis, which is substantially parallel to the first axis and spaced apart therefrom at an axis-to-axis distance, each of the first and second plate cam having at least a camming tooth contactingly engageable with the first and second rollers, respectively, so as to drive the follower member about the first axis in an indexing way, in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. An eccentric offset adjustment member can be provided for adjusting the axis-to-axis distance so as to provide a tight contact engagement between the plate cam and the corresponding rollers.

In a turret indexing device, a coupling containing three gear members is employed in a turret indexing device to cooperate with an indexing disc mounted on an output shaft which is adapted to hold an indexing head. The coupling is operated by a first cam fixedly mounted on an input shaft through a lever mechanism, and the indexing disc is driven by a second cam fixedly mounted on the same input shaft. The three gear members include a first gear member fixedly mounted on a collar slidably mounted on the output shaft, a second gear member which is fixedly mounted on a stationary housing, and third gear member fixedly mounted on a head end of the output shaft. The collar with the first gear member is operated by the lever mechanism to cause the first gear to engage with and disengage from the second gear member and the third gear member while the first cam rotates, in a present timing sequence, and the indexing disc is caused to rotate only when the first gear member is disengaged from the second gear member and the third gear member.
