A chip includes a peripheral component interconnect express (PCIe) switch, a dual-mode device, and a signal transmission control circuit. The PCIe switch includes a first downstream port. The dual-mode device switches between a root complex (RC) mode and an endpoint (EP) mode. The signal transmission control circuit is coupled between the PCIe switch and the dual-mode device. The first downstream port communicates with the dual-mode device operating under the EP mode. The signal transmission control circuit allows an external PCIe device to communicate with the dual-mode device operating under the RC mode.

This invention discloses a verifying system and method thereof. The verifying system comprises a plurality of objects to be verified and a verifying end. Each of the objects to be verified respectively comprises an identifying code. The verifying end has a database, and the database stores a plurality records of information of the objects respectively corresponding to each of the indentifying codes. When a user utilizes an electronic device to read one of the indentifying codes for making the electronic device connect to the verifying end, the verifying end compares the identifying code with the plurality records of information of the objects to generate an information of verification results which is then transmitted back to the electronic device. Herewith the effect of the present invention being verifying authenticity of the object by the indentifying code is achieved.

Verifying system and a method thereof

A verifying system includes an object to be verified and a verifying end. The object to be verified includes an identifying code covered with a one-time removable and opaque shielding layer, and an object tag is disposed on the shielding layer, the object tag corresponding to the identifying code. The verifying end includes a database storing object information corresponding to the identifying code. After the shielding layer is removed to expose the identifying code, and an electronic device is utilized to read the identifying code, the electronic device connects to the verifying end in accordance with the identifying code, so that the verifying end compares the identifying code with the object information, so as to generate a verifying information and transmit the verifying information to the electronic device.

Verifying system and method thereof

For decreasing seeks generated when switching an execution flow between commands to enhance read and write performances of a disc drive, a command is implemented with a specifically-designed data structure, and commands having neighboring physical addresses and the same type of read or write operations are grouped and linked together. With the aid of command groups, seeks between commands are significantly decreased, though starvation may arise. A few techniques are further provided for preventing starvation of command groups and for preserving the benefits of decreasing seeks.

A medical inspection device. A housing includes a transparent plate and a first opening. A reflective layer is formed in the housing and opposes the transparent plate. The first opening is between the reflective layer and the transparent plate. A grip is connected to the first opening and extends in the exterior of the housing. An optical fiber bundle is connected to the first opening and disposed in the grip. The optical fiber bundle extends to the exterior of the grip and outputs light into the housing. The light is output to the exterior of the housing by reflection of the reflective layer and through the transparent plate. An image outside the housing is received by the optical fiber bundle through the transparent plate and by reflection of the reflective layer.

Medical inspection device

The invention discloses a microelectroforming mold using a preformed metal as the substrate and its fabrication method. Using a preformed metal as the substrate can avoid deformation of the microelectroforming mold due to residual stress in the electroforming metal. The fabrication method disclosed herein includes the steps of: forming a layer of bonding material on a surface of the preformed metal substrate after machining; forming a high aspect ratio photoresist microstructure on surfaces of the metal substrate and the bonding material; putting an electroforming material into the gaps of the photoresist microstructure to form an electroforming metal microstructure; and using a thermal process to bond the metal substrate and the metal micro structure by the bonding material and simultaneously bum off the photoresist microstructure to form a micro-electroforming mold. The invention shortens the electroforming time to be one third of the prior art, elongating the number of times the micro-electroforming mold can be used by a factor of more than three.

A thermolysis reaction actuating pump system including a first set of walls defining a channel having a cross-sectional area less than one millimeter squared, and wherein a liquid is received in the channel. A second set of walls defining a reaction chamber and a thermolytic body carried in the reaction chamber. The first set and second set of walls are constructed and arranged to allow the flow of gas from the reaction chamber into the channel. A heater is positioned to provide heat to the thermolytic body and disassociate the thermolytic body to produce gas to pump the liquid through the channel.

Method for preparing a thermal pulsed micro flow senor

A method for anisotropic wet etching is disclosed. In to this invention, a photo mask for the etching mask suited in the anisotropic wet etching is provided. In the photo mask, a pattern with a series of adjacent corners having a substantially rectangular, angle is formed. At the corner areas compensational patterns comprising masked grids are prepared. The pattern on the photo mask is then transferred to an etching mask of a semiconductor substrate such that a multi-level terrace structure with fine corners may be prepared during the etching of the substrate. The method of this invention is also applicable to semiconductor materials with the same diamond structure as that of silicon.

Anisotropic wet etching

A thermal pulsed micro flow sensor includes thermal sensors positioned in a fluid channel at downstream positions relative to a heater. Flow rate is measured by determining the time that it takes a thermal pulse to pass between two of the sensors. Since the resolution of the measurement increases with increasing distance between sensors while the accuracy of the measurement decreases, there is a conflict between the requirements of accuracy and short response time, as well as between accuracy and resolution. By providing at least three sensors and by varying the distances between the sensors, however, it is possible to select a pair of sensors having the highest resolution required by the application in which the sensor is used, while still ensuring that the velocity measurement is within the range of velocities accurately measurable by the selected sensors. Furthermore, for sensors having predetermined overlapping velocity measurement ranges, by selecting the distance between two sensors based on a desired accuracy, and by including an adjustment factor, a desired resolution can likewise be achieved. As a result, the cross-sectional area of the channel can be made constant, and the micro flow sensing device can be can be used for different flow conditions without having to adjust the sensors, or to use sensors having different characteristics.

Method for the preparation of holographic diffusers where the holographic diffuser is designed through iterative calculations according to the Fraunhofer theory of diffraction and some constrain conditions. In the iterative calculation some constrain conditions that can change the magnitude of the light passing through the diffuser are used to design the diffuser. A novel iterative calculation is disclosed such that uniformed mixing of colors and high light utilization efficiency of the diffuser may be provided.

Holographic diffuser

An adapter to convert a traditional gas meter into a computerized gas meter is disclosed. The adapter of this invention comprises a microcomputer gas flow signal converting module, a gas flow monitoring module, a gas pressure monitoring module, an earthquake sensing module and a gas supply shutoff mechanism, and a casing to enclose the modules and to affixed to said traditional gas meter. The microcomputer gas flow rate signal converting module senses the movement of diaphragm of the traditional gas meter and converts the gas flow rate into computerized signals. The gas flow monitoring module and the gas pressure monitoring module monitor the gas flow rate and the gas pressure, and generate warning signals when abnormal phenomena are sensed. The earthquake sensing module senses strong earthquakes according to vertical vibration waves and horizontal vibration waves of said earthquake. The gas supply shutoff mechanism stops movements of diaphragm in order to stop gas supply when a warning signal is generated by said gas flow monitoring module, said gas pressure monitoring module or said earthquake sensing module.

Integrated gas meter

A novel earthquake sensing device is disclosed. The earthquake sensing device comprises a vertical vibrating wave sensing module, a horizontal wave sensing module and a determination module to determine the existence of an earthquake, based on, in combination, the vertical waves and the horizontal waves of an earthquake. In determining the existence of an earthquake, both the vertical waves and the horizontal waves of the earthquake are taken for consideration. Errors in the determination of earthquakes may thus be avoided.
