A portable electronic device includes a main body, a cap body and a hinge assembly. The cap body is movably attached to the main body, and the hinge assembly is disposed between the main body and the cap body. The hinge assembly includes a sliding portion and a rotating portion connected to each other. When the cap body and the main body are totally overlapped, the cap body is selectively to rotate or to slide with respect to the main body over the hinge assembly.

Portable electronic device

A portable electronic device having a first body, a second body, and a moving mechanism is provided. The moving mechanism is disposed between the first body and the second body such that the second body is moveable between a first position and a second position. In the first position, the second body is stacked on the first body. In the second position, top surfaces of the first body and second body are substantially coplanar.

An electronic device including a first body, a second body, a connecting mechanism, and an input unit is provided. The second body is movably disposed on the first body. The connecting mechanism is disposed in the first body. The input unit is movably disposed on the first body, wherein the connecting mechanism connects the input unit and the second body. When the second body moves from a first position to a second position relative to the first body, the second body drives the input unit to move from a third position to a fourth position relative to the first body through the connecting mechanism.

Electronic device

An electronic device and a protection cover thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a cap body, a main body, a flexible printed circuit board and a protection cover. The protection cover includes a receiving portion and a combining portion. The receiving portion has a first end and a second end, wherein the first end is coupled to an upper surface of the main body and the second end connects to the combining portion. As the cap body moves from a first position to a second position on the main body, the combining portion is coupled to a bottom surface of the cap body, so that when the cap body rotates in the second position, the protection cover moves along with the cap body and covers the flexible printed circuit board.

Protection cover and electronic device using the same

Electronic devices with sliding and tilting mechanisms are disclosed. The electronic device can include a first electronic component having a handheld display, a second electronic component having a handheld keyboard, and a coupling slidably and pivotably connecting the first and second electronic components. Accordingly, the first and second electronic components can both slide and pivot relative to each other.

Electronic devices with sliding and tilting mechanisms, and associated methods

A flexible circuit board for an electronic apparatus includes a first connecting part and a second connecting part. The first connecting part has a first connecting terminal electrically connected to the first electronic module of the electronic apparatus. The second connecting part has a second connecting terminal electrically connected to the second electronic module of the electronic apparatus. The first connecting part and the second connecting part are not parallel.

Electronic apparatus and flexible circuit board

A moving element having secondary keyboard for a portable electronic device is placed between a first member and a second member of the device for providing different keyboard sets to improve readability of text when in different operating configurations. When the second member slides out laterally relative to the first member, the moving element remains stayed in the first member, not moving with the second member. When the second member slides out vertically relative to the first member, the moving element slides with the second member along the sliding groove on the first member, and the moving element is exposed on top of the second member to present a concise dialing keyboard. The secondary keyboard contacts corresponding buttons of a primary keyboard directly. Thus, there is no need to provide additional circuit module exclusively for the secondary keyboard such that the cost and volume can be reduced.

Portable electronic device having auxiliary input unit

A dual-axis hinge includes at least a connecting section, an upper hinge and a lower hinge. The connecting section has two sides orthogonally connected to the upper and lower hinges respectively. The connecting section has a circuit cavity that communicates with circuit outlets of the upper and lower hinges to form a passage for accommodating a transmission circuit. The upper hinge is connected to a first sleeve for joining the top cover of a folding electronic product, and the lower hinge is connected to a second sleeve for joining the body of the folding electronic product. These connections enable the top cover to rotate in at least two different directions.

Dual-axis hinge

A multi-configuration portable electronic device including a first body, a second body, a dual-axis hinge and at least a guiding module is provided. The dual-axis hinge has a first axis pivotally coupled to the first body and a second axis pivotally coupled to the second body. The guiding module prevents the first axis and the second axis from acting simultaneously. The guiding module includes a track disposed in the first body and a slide connected with the second body. The slide has an interaction force with the track so that the slide can move from the second body to couple with the track.

Multi-configuration portable electronic device and guiding module thereof

A dual-axis circuit board is disclosed. The circuit board includes at least an upper circuit board, a lower circuit board, and a connecting circuit board. The upper circuit board connects to the circuit in a top cover of the folding electronic apparatus, and the lower circuit board connects to the circuit in the body of the folding electronic apparatus. The angle between the folding directions of the upper and lower circuit board is approximately 90 degrees.

Flexible dual-axis circuit board

A multi-directional sliding module for a portable device is described. The multi-directional sliding module includes a slide, a first track, and a second track. The first track and the second track are disposed on a single plane of a portable device and form a predetermined angle therebetween to allow a first electronic module sliding along at least two directions on a second electronic module of the portable device. When the first electronic module is slid out along the first track, the portable device is operated in a mobile phone mode. When the first sliding electronic module is slid out along the second track, the portable device is operated in a typing mode.

Multi-directional sliding module and application thereof

A dynamic sliding module is described. The dynamic sliding module includes a track, a dynamic slide, and a guiding device. The track includes a first opening and the guiding device is disposed adjacent to the first opening. When the dynamic slide slides along the track and aligns with the first opening, the guiding device provides a guiding force to guide the dynamic slide to move toward the first opening and enter into the track for sliding thereon. The track further includes a second opening to allow the dynamic slide to be withdrawn form the track. The dynamic sliding module further includes an elastic device and/or a wedge-shaped device disposed adjacent to the second opening to assist the dynamic slide to be withdrawn from the track.

Dynamic sliding module and uses thereof

A latch structure for a mobile electronic device (), for example, a personal digital assistant (PDA) is disclosed. The latch structure comprises a side flange () of a cover () and a side panel (). The side flange () includes a cantilever () and at least a first engaging portion (). The cantilever has a slanted face () and a lock () on a free end thereof. The lock has a first ramp (). The side panel detachably connects to the side flange and defines a hole (). The side panel includes a second engaging portion () and a third engaging portion (). The hole corresponds to the slanted face. The second engaging portion has a second ramp () corresponding to the first ramp of the lock. The lock engages with the second engaging portion in a first position and disengages from the second engaging portion in a second position. The first engaging portion engages with the third engaging portion in the first position and disengages from the third engaging portion in the second position.

Latch structure for removably mounting a side panel of an electronic product

A Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) with retractable stylus comprises a retractable stylus, a housing, a stylus slot, and a push portion, wherein a contact pad is attached to the inner side of the push portion. The retractable stylus comprises a pen shaft having a release button, a pen body having an opening, and a spring situated inside the pen body. When an external force is applied to the pen shaft downward, the spring is compressed until the opening holding the release button; thus, the stylus is shortened. When the release button is set free from the opening, the spring elasticity ejects the pen shaft upward; thus, the stylus returns to the full-length condition. If the stylus is kept in the stylus slot, an external force applied to the push portion can make the contact pad press the release button; so the pen shaft is ejected upward by spring elasticity.

Personal digital assistant with retractable stylus

A holder for protecting a palmtop comprising of an activation button. When the activation button is depressed, it shuts down the palmtop which is removed from the holder by pushing it forward along the holder. The activation button comprises of an embossment, a boss, contact point, and trigger. The embossment connects with the palmtop tightly before the activation button is depressed while the boss is convenient for users to press the activation button. Moreover, the contact point will touch the trigger to shut down the palmtop after the active button is depressed.
