A heat dissipating fan includes a cover plate having an air inlet and a base, an impeller mounted to the base and having a plurality of blades, and an air guiding member having an air passageway and an air outlet. A portion of an axial height of the respective blade is received in the air passageway of the air guiding member. Side inlets are defined between the cover plate and the air guiding member. Air intake occurs simultaneously in the air inlet and in the side inlets when the impeller turns, driving airflow to exit the air outlet in a predetermined direction.

A heat dissipating fan includes a casing having an outlet, a base mounted in the outlet of the casing, and a plurality of air guiding members mounted in the outlet and connected between the base and the casing. Each air guiding member defines at least one air concentrating area for concentrating air, for guiding airflow, and for increasing wind pressure when an impeller mounted on the base turns.

A casing for a heat-dissipating fan includes a bottom board and a plurality of sidewalls extending from the bottom board. The bottom board and the sidewalls are integrally formed by punching a magnetically conductive plate. The bottom board includes a base on which a stator having a coil assembly is mounted. An axial hole is defined in the base of the bottom board, and a bearing is mounted in the axial hole for rotatably holding a shaft of a rotor. Magnetic pole faces are formed on the base of the bottom board by punching the base of the bottom board. The magnetic pole faces surround the axial hole and are adjacent to the coil assembly of the stator.

A heat-dissipating module includes a first fan unit and a second fan unit, which are serially connected together to provide an air inlet and an air outlet. Each of the first fan unit and the second fan unit includes a casing and an impeller. When a bearing is mounted in the sleeve, the sleeve is tightly engaged with the axial tube such that the axial tube and the bearing exert forces to each other to thereby retain the axial tube and the bearing in place.

A washer in accordance with the present invention mainly comprises an axial hole and a plurality of oil-bearing holes. The oil-bearing holes are connected an outer surface of the washer to an inner surface, and surround the axial hole.

A casing for a heat-dissipating fan includes an annular wall and a base. The annular wall includes an air inlet in a first end thereof and an air outlet in a second end thereof. The base is securely mounted in the air inlet of the base, with a plurality of ribs extending between the annular wall and the base. A plurality of mounting portions are provided between the annular wall and the base to allow the heat-dissipating fan to be fixed to an object. Since the mounting portions are located inside the annular wall, minimization of the casing is realized.
