A dispenser comprising a housing comprising a product holding area defined by a front, back and two sides, and a dispenser throat defining an opening through the housing; a motor coupled to the rolled product and configured to rotate the rolled product in first and second directions; and a feed mechanism having a first side opening and a second side opening different from the first side opening, wherein both the first side and second side openings are different from that dispenser throat, and wherein the first side opening is configured to accept the tail when the rolled product has a first orientation and is rotated in the first direction and the second side opening is configured to accept the tail when the rolled product has a second orientation and is rotated in the second direction.

An interpolation system and method is applicable to image process of data size change. The characteristics of the interpolation system are that some simple operations in the system and method are operated by hardware (operator), while some complicated operations are processed by software. Though the demarcation, the hardware for performing interpolation is prevented from complicated composition so as to reduce the cost and the time needed.

An angle de-skew device and the method thereof are used in an image processing system to rotate a skewed image with respect to a reference point as a rotated center. First and second accumulator circuits respectively are used to accumulate first and second offsets for the X coordinates and Y coordinates of the first pixel in the skewed image, and respectively output the sums into the image processing system. A counter is connected to the two accumulator circuits to control the number of accumulation times.

A method of separating text and graphs in digital image data is used to separate digital image data into graph data and text data. According to a default separating parameter, the digital image data are partitioned into several operating matrices. One then sets a default crossing reference level for comparison analyses to compare adjacent pixel units in each operating matrix. When the digital characteristic value of a pixel unit is greater than the default crossing reference level and the digital characteristic value of its one adjacent pixel unit are smaller the default crossing reference level, the operating matrix is given a weight. Afterwards, all the weights are added up to give a weighted statistical value, which eventually is used to separate the graph data from the text data.

Method of separating text and graphs in digital image data

An image compression apparatus includes an image transformer for transforming each pixel of an image data into binary bit array. The bits of a same bit plane are located in a same column. A context modeler, coupled to the image transformer, includes a context model template and a context model. When the bit array is imported, a plurality of reference context bits for a bit to be compressed is determined by means of the context model template. The bit to be compressed and the plurality of reference context bits are on a same bit plane. A mathematic encoder, coupled to the context modeler, encodes the bit to be compressed according to the context modeler and the information provided by the plurality of reference context bits.

Image compression/decompression apparatus and method

This specification discloses a method that uses three-dimensional image interpolation algorithm implemented in an image player to solve the problem of frame rate conversions between output contents and the image player. It aims to achieve high resolutions and high frame rates. The disclosed method adjusts the frame resolution and frame rate of the received image data according to the playing format of the image player. That is, the pixel values contained in a frame are interpolated to generate several interpolated pixel values in order to fit with the frame resolution. The interpolated frame is then stored. The next two consecutive frames are further extracted. The central position is determined according to the frame playing frequency. The corresponding pixel values of the two consecutive frames are used to produce several interpolated pixel values. The interpolated pixel values form an interpolated frame, which is then saved.

Method of using three-dimensional image interpolation algorithm to achieve frame rate conversions

This specification discloses a method of using locality statistics characteristic to enhance gamma corrections. Using the property that the color values of nearby digital image pixels are close to one another, the cache queue operation model is employed to partly replace the time-consuming table mechanism in the gamma correction procedure. The disclosed method first establishes a cache queue and then captures digital image pixels. According to the extracted digital image pixels, gamma correction values are searched to satisfy the cache queue. Finally, the gamma correction values corresponding to the digital image pixels are stored.
