The present invention is a motor of rotor with built-in permanent magnet, which includes an annular stator and a rotor. The annular stator has a cylindrical interior into which the rotor is inserted. A space is formed between a circumference surface of cylindrical interior and rotor. The rotor further includes a rotor core, and a plurality of openings are formed surrounding the rotor core. Each opening is with two parallel surfaces, a top surface and a bottom surface, and each of them is a flat plate figure. A suitable distance is between two side surfaces and an outer circumference of the rotor, and the two side surfaces of adjacent openings are spaced by a channel fo suitable width. A plurality of permanent magnets are arranged in openings by way of interlaced magnetic poles, and the shape of permanent matches the shape of the opening.

A variable ratio of force-enlargement master cylinder for a braking system is described. The variable ratio of force-enlargement master cylinder has a cylinder, an outer piston, and an inner piston, in which comprise a plurality of cavities and openings therein. When a force is uniformly applied to the variable ratio of force-enlargement master cylinder, the flow rate of the fluid is preferably changed into a predetermined value by incorporating the cavities and openings located on the cylinder, the outer piston, and the inner piston in a suitable time.

A ball valve having a magnetic seat sealing device comprises a valve body, a valve seat, a valve ball, a valve stem and a valve bonnet, wherein the valve seat is disposed within a valve body cavity of the valve body, the valve ball being rotatably disposed on the valve seat, the valve bonnet engaging the valve body to confine the valve body cavity, the valve stem passing through the valve bonnet and drivingly engaging the valve ball; and being characterized by comprising a magnetic seat sealing device that employs a magnetic mechanism to control the metal valve seat, so that when the ball valve is in a closed condition, the magnetic mechanism exerts a magnetic force to the metal valve seat to further tighten and seal the valve seat against the valve ball; and when the ball valve is in an open condition, the magnetic force is released to allow the metal valve seat to return its original position; whereby the metal ball valve can be operated by a low operative torque and maintaining superior sealing effect.

The present invention discloses a front derailleur for a bicycle to shift a chain via a chain guide between at least two sprockets which are attached on a frame of the bicycle. The front derailleur includes a wire extending through a stopper which is attached on the frame of the bicycle for transmitting a tension. An actuating link is connected to the wire in response to the tension for driving the chain guide to shift the chain between the sprockets. A wire guide is mounted on a seat tube of the frame and connected with the wire between the stopper and the actuating link for straightening the wire substantially parallel to the seat tube, thereby reducing a friction between the wire and the stopper.

A speed-changing control mechanism of a multistage speed-changing wheel hub has a planetary gear device comprising a gear support and a plurality of planetary gears. The planetary gears are respectively engaged with a ring gear and sun gears. The rotational power of a drive member is transmitted to the ring gear or the gear support via a sleeve. A speed ratio change is brought about by the action of the planetary gears and the sun gears. The power is finally transmitted to the wheel hub via the gear support or the ring gear. The planetary gears are driven by the power input source portion of the sleeve in conjunction with the action of another sleeve on the fastening shaft, thereby controlling two sets of one-way ratchet pawls opposite in direction to engage or disengage. As a result, the input of the power source and degrees of freedom of the sun gears can be controlled by the use of the control slot, thereby preventing the interference between the retaining slot and the control key and eliminating the complicated power shifting mechanism.

An electromotive gear-shift control apparatus for bicycles, which is to be used in a bicycle provided with a gear-shift apparatus; the driving force for such apparatus is furnished with the power of pedals thereof; a motor is used for determining the input of the gear shift; the apparatus comprises a housing, a transmission mechanism, a switch mechanism, and an index mechanism; the housing is a fixed member fastened on the frame of a bicycle; the power source for gear shift is supplied by the driving force of the power shaft between two pedals of bicycle; the switch mechanism is mounted in the housing; the input power form the transmission mechanism is converted, by means of the motor, into a displacement output required by gear shift; the index mechanism is mounted behind the switch mechanism inside the housing, and it is used for converting the vector displacement form the switch mechanism into a step-function output, which is then transmitted, through a cable, into the gear-shift apparatus of the bicycle.

A sprocket trimming method for a multi-stage sprocket assembly is disclosed which includes the steps of: (1) aligning the two sprockets at a gear shift position where a chain is escaping from one sprocket and engaging with another sprocket and is being tilted at a tilting angle; (2) using a computer aided design simulation to simulate how the gear shift operation is taking place and thus identify the portion of the sprocket tooth that will be overlapped and/or interfered with the chain when the chain is moved from an escaping sprocket tooth to an engaging sprocket tooth; and (3) trimming the overlapping and interference portion of the sprocket teeth to a depth according to the following equation: ##EQU1## wherein: D is the depth of the overlapping and interference portion of the sprocket teeth to be trimmed, w is the pitch width of the chain, Lc is the pitch length of the chain, .theta. is the tilting angle of the chain at gear shift position, Ts is the thickness of the sprocket of a smaller diameter, Sg is the distance between the two sprockets. The trimming allows the gear shift operation to be performed without the chain interfering with the sprocket teeth located between the escaping and engaging teeth.

A bicycle front derailleur with a cam level for smoother gear switching is disclosed. The bicycle derailleur is operated by pulling a wire which shifts a chain between at least a large sprocket, a medium sprocket and a small sprocket. The bicycle front derailleur contains a cam lever which is pivotably connected to a four-linkage chain guide moving system at a pivoting point for pulling the chain guide moving system, and thus shifting the chain, when a cable is pulled in a pulling direction. The cam lever has a cam groove formed on the peripheral surface of the cam lever for receiving the wire. The cam lever is structured such that the radial distance between the cam groove and the pivoting point increases in a direction opposite of the pulling direction, so as to provide a greater effective length vertical to the pulling direction when the wire is subject to a greater linear displacement resulting in a greater counterforce. Such an increased effective length provides a greater torque at the same pulling force.

A stepping apparatus capable of large angle oscillation comprising an output shaft and a driving shaft arranged parallel to, and spaced apart from, each other wherein the output shaft is provided with a roller wheel plate, both sides of the wheel plate being pivoted with a plurality of alternately spaced rollers, a pair of plate cams being secured on the driving shaft for driving in combination with the rollers on both sides of the wheel plate, allowing the driving shaft to drive the output shaft for reverse angular rotation, standstill, forward angular rotation, indexing, and other stepping sequential operations. Said plate cams remain in camming contact with at least two rollers, causing them to be positioned on the opposite sides of the line connecting between the driving shaft and the output shaft for positive driving between the cams and the rollers, characterized in that during the sequential operation of reverse angular rotation, the two rollers remaining in positive driving with the plate cams are offset for an angle .theta. (for example, 30 degrees) with respect to the line connecting the driving shaft and the output shaft such that the output shaft can be oscillated for large angles of more than 45 degrees (for example, 65 degrees) when the two rollers remain in positive driving with the plate cams.

A multiple sprocket assembly for use in a bicycle comprising: (1) at least a large sprocket wheel and a small sprocket wheel, each of the large and small sprocket wheels having a plurality of teeth on an outer edge thereof, and the large sprocket wheel having more teeth than the small sprocket wheel; (2) each of the sprocket wheels being adapted to engage with a chain guided by a derailleur; the chain comprising a plurality of rollers connected in series by link plates. The multiple sprocket assembly is characterized in that the small sprocket wheel has at least two consecutive teeth, each with a portion of its side surface trimmed off, and the large sprocket wheel has at least three consecutive teeth each also with a portion of its side surface trimmed off, so as to avoid interference between the link plates and the large sprocket when the chain is being shifted from the small sprocket to the large sprocket. In a preferred embodiment, at least two of the trimmed portions on the small sprocket are formed on the first distal side surface, and the trimmed portions on the large sprocket contain at least two trimmed portions on the second distal side surface and at least one trimmed portion on the second proximal side surface. The side surfaces of the teeth of the small sprocket are trimmed in such a manner such that the escape roller will not be immediately lifted up, but will be pushed laterally as a result of the trimmed portions of the small sprocket. The side surfaces of the teeth of the large sprocket are trimmed in such a manner such that one of the surfaces contains an axially extending portion, which serves as a fulcrum for the engage roller to be pivotally engaged with the large sprocket.
