The disclosure provides a USB device, a USB cable, and a USB repeater. The USB cable or the USB device includes a USB connector and the USB repeater. The USB repeater may gain a signal of a differential pin pair of the USB connector. The USB repeater may monitor a signal of a configuration channel pin of the USB connector. The USB repeater selectively runs in one of a plurality of working modes corresponding to a plurality of protocols according to a monitoring result.

A universal serial bus (USB) signal transmission device, an operation method thereof, and a USB cable are provided. The USB signal transmission device includes a signal processing circuit, a switch circuit, and a control circuit. A first terminal of the switch circuit is coupled to a first USB circuit. A second terminal of the switch circuit is coupled to a second USB circuit. The control circuit turns off the switch circuit during a detection period to detect both terminals of the switch circuit to obtain a detection result. The control circuit turns on the switch circuit during a transmission period, and controls a transmission direction of the signal processing circuit according to the detection result.

A method of reading data includes: receiving a digital signal, wherein the digital signal includes a sync signal and a data signal; performing an oversampling operation to the digital signal, and calculating a plurality of sampling points according to the oversampling operation; by a first counter counting the sampling points to obtain a first count value; based on the first count value defining a second count value; defining a unit interval; in the unit interval, defining a data reading range; and in the data reading range, reading the data signal corresponding to data of the unit interval as a first value when a potential of each of the sampling points counted is changed from a first potential to a second potential.
