A liquid crystal display has position-adjustable light sources. The light sources may be lamps, LEDs, or other emissive components. The light sources, however, are movable to adjust the locations or positions of their light outputs. The light sources ride upon electromagnet carriers. When currents are applied to the electromagnet carriers, each electromagnet carrier creates a corresponding magnetic field. The magnetic fields cause neighboring electromagnet carriers to attract or to repel, depending on the magnitude/polarity of the currents. The lateral and vertical positions of the electromagnet carriers may thus be adjusted by varying their respective currents and magnetic fields. Because the light sources ride on the electromagnet carriers, the light sources may be moved to refine an image generated by the liquid crystal display. The light sources, for example, may be moved to improve white/black contracts to reduce halo-effects.

Position-adjustable backlight

A rotating device configured to rotate and position a product at multiple precision angles includes a base and an angle defining disk. The angle defining disk defines a circular through hole. A rotating mechanism is received in the through hole and a positioning mechanism is connected to the rotating mechanism. The periphery of an inner wall of the through hole includes a plurality of locating slots. The rotating mechanism is capable of rotating in the through hole by an external force and driving the positioning mechanism to rotate relative to the angle defining disk. The rotation causes the rotating mechanism to move and take a precise position from one locating slot to another locating slot.

A processor may execute code instructions of an electrochromic material regional backlight unit dimming control system to identify a low-intensity pixel region including a subset of the plurality of pixels associated within high dynamic ratio image data with a low intensity value, identify an electrode of the electrochromic material layer associated with the low-intensity pixel region; and pass a current through the electrode such that a portion of the electrochromic material becomes opaque to the light reflected from the high reflection layer.

Method and apparatus for regional liquid crystal display back light unit dimming using electrochromic material

A support for video playback devices includes a headwear device, a support mechanism, and a holding mechanism. The support mechanism is connected to the headwear device. The holding mechanism is connected to the support mechanism, and is used to hold a video playback device. Viewing distance and angle of the video playback device is adjusted by varying relative positions of the headwear device and the support mechanism and by varying relative positions of the support mechanism and the holding mechanism. The structure of the support for video playback devices is simple. The support for video playback devices is useful when a user lies down, thus improving the user's sense of experience.

An adjusting device for adjusting orientation of an energy conversion board comprises a first frame member, a second frame member, a third frame member and a base. The first frame member contains the energy conversion board. The second frame member holds the first frame member. The third frame member holds the second frame member. The base supports the third frame including the other frames and the energy conversion board. The first frame member is rotatable relative to the second frame member, the second frame member is rotatable relative to the third frame, and the third frame member is rotatable relative to the base. The first rotating axis is perpendicular to the second rotating axis, and the third rotating axis is coaxial with the first rotating axis.

Adjusting device

A light emitting assembly, a backlight module having the light emitting assembly, and a liquid crystal display (LCD) apparatus having the backlight module are provided. The light emitting assembly includes a rigid circuit board, a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) devices, and a flexible circuit board. The rigid circuit board has a plurality of external circuits isolated from one another. The LED devices are disposed on the rigid circuit board, and each of the external circuits is connected to a corresponding one of the LED devices. The flexible circuit board has a plurality of connecting lines, and each of the connecting lines is connected to at least two of the external circuits, so as to serially connect the LED devices that are connected to the external circuits.

Light emitting assembly and backlight module

A capacitive touch panel provides a partially high-resolution by mixing multiple resolutions. The capacitive touch panel includes a first electrode layer, a second electrode layer, an insulating layer, and a single one integrated circuit chip. The first electrode layer and the second electrode layer respectively include multiple sensor electrodes disposed with uneven density, so that a part of the touch panel has higher resolution, and other part of the touch panel has lower resolution. The capacitive touch panel provides partially higher resolution by adjusting the distribution of the electrodes without increasing the number of pins of the integrated circuit chip.

A complex circuit board including a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) and a flexible printed circuit (FPC) for providing driving signals for light sources is disclosed. The PCBA includes a supporting portion and a connecting portion. The light sources are disposed above the supporting portion. The connection portion contacts electrically with a contacting portion of the FPC. The contacting portion of the FPC has a fixing hole. The connecting portion of the PCBA has a fixing portion. Moreover, the FPC has two or more than two first bend portions on the contacting portion. The fixing portion of the PCBA is inserted into the fixing hole of the FPC to complete the complex circuit board without extra attachment units. Therefore, the assembly procedure is simplified to increase throughput and the cost is reduced.

An exemplary embodiment of a testing device for testing a pulling force includes a shell having a test platform, a load sensor mechanism, a control system, a drive and transmission mechanism and a material clamping mechanism. Two portions of a test object are clasped by the load sensor mechanism and the clamp. When the load sensor mechanism is driven to move further away from the clamp via the drive and transmission mechanism, a pulling force perpendicular to the test platform is generated between the two portions of the test object. The load sensor mechanism detects the pulling force and feeds back the detection to the control system.

Complex circuit board and fabrication method thereof

A backlight module includes a tray, a light guide plate, a lighting device, and an optical film set. The tray includes a bottom plate and a side wall connecting an edge of the bottom plate. The side wall includes a plurality of wall portions connected to one another. Some of the wall portions are perpendicular to the bottom plate, and the others are parallel to the bottom plate. The light guide plate is disposed on the bottom plate. The lighting device is disposed at a light incident side of the light guide plate. The optical film set disposed on the light guide plate leans against the side wall.
