A backlight module includes a back plate, an optical film, a light source and optical microstructures. The back plate has a supporting surface. The optical film is disposed on the back plate. The supporting surface and the optical film have a gap therebetween. The light source disposed on the supporting surface is adapted to emit light toward the optical microstructures. Each optical microstructure includes first and second transparent structures. The first transparent structure connected to the supporting surface has front and rear ends. The front end facing toward the light source has a first concave surface. The rear end facing away from the light source has a convex surface. The second transparent structure connected to the first transparent structure has front and rear surfaces tilted in relative to the supporting surface. The front surface faces toward the light source, and the rear surface faces away from the light source.

Backlight module

A light guide plate and a backlight module are provided. The backlight module includes a light source and the light guide plate. The light source includes a light emitting surface. The light guide plate includes a light incident surface, a first surface, and a second surface, wherein the first surface is opposite to the second surface. The light guide plate is disposed at a side of the light source. The light incident surface of the light guide plate is opposite to the light emitting surface of the light source. The light incident surface is connected to the first surface and the second surface and includes a first curved surface and a second curved surface. The first curved surface is adjacent to the first surface, and the second curved surface is adjacent to the second surface. The first curved surface is a concave surface.

A light guide plate disclosed in the present disclosure includes a board body, a prism component and at least one optical microstructure. The prism component is disposed on at least one surface of the board body. The at least one optical microstructure is disposed on a top end of the prism component. The optical microstructure includes a first light guiding unit and at least two second light guiding units. A first angle is formed between two inclined surfaces of the first light guiding unit, and the first angle is substantially between 45&#x2dc;60 degrees. The second light guiding units are symmetrically disposed on opposite sides of the first light guiding unit. A second angle is formed between an inclined surface and a bottom surface of each second light guiding unit, and the second angle is substantially between 10&#x2dc;60 degrees.
