A method for locating critical control points on a part or combination of parts during a manufacturing process involves mating, directly or indirectly, a jig extension to the part or parts. A pattern on the jig extension defines an origin point that is used to track the position of the part or parts during manufacturing, such as during location-sensitive operations. The jig extension may be a shoe last extension which connects to a shoe or shoe component via a shoe last.

Shoe last extension as an origin

A leather inspection apparatus is provided for detecting inconsistencies on both upper and lower surfaces of a hide. It includes a first camera assembly movably coupled to a support frame and capable of movement along the upper surface of the hide and a second camera assembly movably coupled to the support frame and capable of movement along the lower surface of the hide. A computing device is coupled to the first camera assembly and the second camera assembly, such that the first camera assembly detects the locations of inconsistencies in the upper surface of the hide and the second camera assembly detects the locations of inconsistencies in the lower surface of the hide. The computing device digitally stores the locations of the inconsistencies of the upper surface of the hide and the locations of the inconsistencies of the lower surface of the hide.

A wireless communication device is disclosed. The wireless communication device includes a processor, a transceiver coupled to the processor, and a memory coupled to the processor. The memory is configured to store a plurality of instructions and the plurality of instructions are executed by the processor to perform operations of storing, in the memory, a duplication of each of the plurality of packets transmitted by a streaming provider; and in response to a request of retransmission transmitted by a terminal device for a lost packet, determining whether the duplication of the lost packet is stored in the memory.

Systems and methods are provided for collecting three-dimensional surface data of a lasted shoe upper that is mated with a sole that is configured for the lasted upper. The mated three-dimensional data is used with three-dimensional data of the lasted shoe upper in an unmated configuration with the sole to determine a location of an edge defined by the intersection of the lasted upper and the sole when mated. The bite line identifies an edge where the upper and a sole assembly will intersect on a finished shoe, which may represent a bounding line for application of adhesive to the lasted upper for boding the sole thereto.

Divergence detection of a shoe bite line

A conditionally visible bite line may be demarcated on a shoe upper using at least one of a fluorescent or an Infrared (IR)-responsive material. Such a conditionally visible bite line may be observable only under particular conditions, such as when illuminated by an ultraviolet light source or an IR light source, as appropriate. A light may be projected to intersect the conditionally visible bite line under conditions rendering the conditionally visible bite line detectable. The intersection(s) of the projected light and the conditionally visible bite line may be used to create a virtual bite line for use in generating a tool path to process the surface of a shoe upper bounded by the conditionally visible bite line.

A method for automatically choosing a communication network is applicable to a mobile device. When receiving a communication request for a contact from a user interface, a processing unit determines a status of a network card module according to the communication request. When the network card module is enabled, the network card module sends a network packet and receives a corresponding response packet to determine whether the network card module is connected to the Internet. When the network card module is connected to the Internet, the network card module sends an inquiry packet to a voice over internet protocol (VoIP) proxy server and receives a corresponding response packet to determine whether the contact is online. When the contact is online, the network card module carries out the communication request through the VoIP proxy server. Otherwise, the communication request is carried out by a cellular phone module.

A method for sampling coordinates of a touched point on a touch panel, includes the steps of: (a1) detecting a touched point at a low detection frequency to obtain two touch coordinates sequentially in time series; (a2) calculating a distance between the two touch coordinates; (a3) determining whether the distance between the two touch coordinates is greater than a first threshold distance; (a4) detecting a touched point at a high detection frequency to obtain a subsequent touch coordinate in time series; (a5) calculating a distance between two touch coordinates sequentially in time series at the high detection frequency; (a6) determining whether the distance obtained in the step (a5) is less than a second threshold distance; and (a7) detecting a touched point on the touch panel at the low detection frequency when the distance is less than the second threshold distance in the step (a6).

A positioning method for a touch display panel is provided. The touch display panel includes a touch panel and a display panel. The display panel is disposed on the touch panel, and sensing points and reference positions are set on the touch panel. In the method, pressures with different values are repeatedly applied to each reference position; under the pressures with the different values, average capacitance values of the reference positions corresponding to the sensing points are calculated. When an object touches the display panel, the sensing points of the touch panel correspondingly generate second capacitance values. Under a touch pressure value, the average capacitance values of the reference positions corresponding to the sensing points are selected. The second capacitance values and the average capacitance values of the reference positions corresponding to the sensing points under the touch pressure value are used to calculate a touch position of the object.
