An exemplary portable electronic device includes a bottom cover, a top cover, an electronic module, and elastic washers. The top cover engages with the bottom cover to define a space therebetween. The electronic module is received in the space. Poles protrude up from the bottom cover. The elastic washers are fixed on the electronic module. A through hole is defined in each of the washers. The poles respectively extend through the through holes of the washers, and opposite ends of each of the washers respectively elastically abut the top cover and the bottom cover.

A holding member and two latching members project from the base of the electronic device. An end of the holding member opposite to the base bends toward the at least one latching member to form a latching portion. Each latching member includes a connecting portion projecting from the base, a supporting portion bending from an end of the connecting portion opposite to the base, and a hook arranged at a side of the supporting portion opposite to the connecting portion. The holding member cooperates with the supporting portion to define a clearance for holding the fixing plate, the hooks cooperate with the holding member to secure the fixing plate to the body.

The slider forms a toothed portion engageable with the gear. The toothed portion includes a first rack segment and a second rack segment. The first rack segment is flexibly deformable so as to overcome a conflict of alignment of gear teeth of the gear and the first rack segment when such conflict occurs.
