The electronic device includes a first processor for supporting a first Internet Protocol (IP) Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) protocol stack, and a second processor for supporting a second IMS protocol stack. The first processor includes an AP for processing a multimedia service, and the second processor includes at least one of a Communication Processor (CP), a Modem Processor (MP), and a Baseband Processor (BP) for processing a communication service.

Apparatus and method for reducing power consumption in electronic device

A system and method for detecting a location of a mobile communication terminal. A mobile communication network for communication with the terminal and a cell identifier (ID) of a base station is set. A public land mobile network (PLMN) ID of the network and the cell ID are stored. One or more networks other than the set network are searched for. When the one or more other networks are searched for, the searched one or more other networks are sequentially set. Cell information according to the one or more other networks is searched for. Cell IDs of base stations communicable with the terminal are set. PLMN IDs of the one or more other networks and the cell IDs are stored. A common area between cells set using the stored PLMN and cell IDs is determined. Information about the common area is detected as location information of the terminal.

Method and system for detecting a location of a mobile communication terminal

A method and system for maintaining connections between a terminal and a plurality of servers in a stand-by state in which the terminal is connected to the servers. The terminal generates timers for maintaining the connections to the servers. The terminal determines whether a timer expires. When the timer expires, the terminal simultaneously sends packets for connection maintenance notifications to all the servers having communication connections to the terminal.

Method and system for maintaining connections between a terminal and servers in a communication system

A method and a system for updating software stored in a flash memory, which enables a user to resume a suspended updating process even when log data stored in a journaling area is lost. According to the present invention, log data indicating the results of implementation of each step of the updating process is stored in a journaling area allocated in a flash memory to update the software. The data stored in the journaling area is copied into a first backup journaling area allocated in the flash memory whenever each step is completed. Concurrently, log data indicating the copying results is stored in a second backup journaling area.
