A keyboard device and an operating method thereof are provided. The keyboard device includes a microcontroller, a drive circuit, a backlight module, and a plurality of key units. The microcontroller is coupled to a computer device. A detection module of the computer device detects an input mode of the computer device. The plurality of key units is disposed on the backlight module. The plurality of key units each has a plurality of character symbols corresponding to different input modes. The microcontroller outputs a control signal to the drive circuit according to the input mode. The drive circuit drives the backlight module according to the control signal to selectively illuminate one of the plurality of character symbols of each of at least a portion of the plurality of key units.

Keyboard device and operation method thereof

An optical mouse is provided with a conversion unit, a control unit, an optical sensing unit, a light emitting unit, and a switch unit. The conversion unit is electrically connected to a working voltage source, the control unit, and the optical sensing unit. The conversion unit is configured to convert voltage to supply power to the control unit, the optical sensing unit, and the light emitting unit. The control unit is electrically connected to the optical sensing unit. The switch unit is electrically connected to the light unit. When the switch unit is in a turn-off state, the light emitting unit stops emitting light toward a trace surface. The optical sensing unit senses a darkness and transfers darkness data to the control unit. The control unit performs a configured function based on the darkness data.

A brightness measuring method of device with backlight is performed by a controlling device, for measuring legends of backlight provided by a backlight module of a device under test (DUT). The method includes turning on a uniform light source external to the DUT for illuminating the DUT; capturing and receiving an image of the DUT illuminated with uniform light as a base image; identifying a complete pattern of a to-be-measured legend in the base image; turning off the uniform light source and turning on the backlight of the DUT so as to illuminate the legend of DUT; capturing and receiving an image of the DUT illuminated with backlight as a comparison image, wherein the scope of the comparison image overlaps the scope of the base image; and calculating brightness values of a plurality of pixels in the comparison image whose positions overlap the positions of the complete pattern.

Brightness measuing method and system of device with backlight

A light-emitting keyboard includes a keycap, a frame and a solid-state lighting source. The keycap has a light-entrance portion formed on the periphery thereof, and a touch surface for pressing by user. The keycap is made of light-guiding material and defines a light-guiding path from the light entrance portion to the touch surface. The frame is arranged adjacent to the keycap and surrounds the periphery of the keycap. The frame is made of light-guiding material and forms at least one light-outputting surface. The at least one light-outputting surface is contiguous to the light-entrance portion. The solid-state lighting source is fixed to the frame and emits light from the light-outputting surface into the light-entrance portion by the light-guiding path, and exits from the touch surface of the keycap.
