An LED regulation circuit and method include a voltage transformation unit to receive DC power and provide a constant current to drive at least one LED and a pulse-width modulation unit to generate a driving signal to control the voltage transformation unit. The driving signal of the pulse-width modulation unit has an operation period. In the operation period, the driving signal drives the voltage transformation unit to output regular operation power. The pulse-width modulation unit is connected to a timing regulation unit which generates a regulation signal sent to the pulse-width modulation unit to regulate the operation period of the driving signal by adding a sleep period. In the sleep period, the driving signal lowers the power of the voltage transformation unit that drives the LED. Through alternately controlling the operation period and sleep period of the driving signal, continuous heat generation and heat accumulation can be reduced.

LED regulation circuit and method

A power conversion structure includes a power factor correction circuit which has an energy storage coil, a switch and a voltage boosting control unit. The voltage boosting control unit drives the switch to set OFF and ON of the switch to change the period of current passing through the energy storage coil to alter the phase of the current. The energy storage coil is coupled with at least one induction coil to induce and generate driving power to energize lighting equipment. The amount of the driving power is determined by the coil ratio of the induction coil and the energy storage coil. Through the induction coil, the energy storage coil can be induced to generate the driving power which is determined by the coil ratio of the induction coil and energy storage coil.

Power conversion structure

The present invention discloses a multi-modulation mode LED driving circuit, which controls an inverter to perform energy conversion to drive at least one LED. The driving circuit of the present invention is modulated by a timing control signal containing an on time and a standby time. In the present invention, a varying-amplitude modulation energy is added to the standby time. In the present invention, the start and end of the on time respectively have a gradually-ascending interval and a gradually-descending interval, and/or the start and end of the standby time respectively have a gradually-descending interval and a gradually-ascending interval. In the present invention, two or more different cycles are mixed to generate high-reliability and wide-dynamical range modulation modes, which can make an energy conversion unit and a rear-end LED group operate in reliable ranges of some performance characteristics.

Multi-modulation mode LED driving circuit

An inverter control circuit is used to control a switch and a transformer in front of a light-emitting unit and then adjust the driving power for the light-emitting unit and modify the luminant state of the light-emitting unit and comprises: a first control unit and a second control unit both having equivalent electronic elements. The first control unit and the second control unit have a signal generator and a signal synthesizer circuit. According to a signal fed back by the light-emitting unit and a dimming signal, the first signal generator outputs first working signals via the signal synthesizer circuit of the first control unit to determine the turn-on time of the switch. According to the first working signals and via the signal synthesizer circuit of the second control unit, the second signal generator outputs second working signals to the switch to determine the resonance frequency of the transformer.

Inverter control circuit

An inverter for driving light source is disclosed. The inverter includes a pulse control unit for producing a conduction period signal, a power switch unit driven by the conduction period signal and a power conversion unit for outputting a driving power, wherein a waveform modulation unit is further connected between the power switch unit and the power conversion unit, and the waveform modulation unit obtains the input power from the power switch unit and converts thereof into a modulation power, wherein the modulation power includes a positive edge modulation period with gradually rising voltage peak and a negative edge modulation period with gradually falling voltage peak, with the positive edge modulation period has a duration longer than that of the negative edge modulation period, and the modulation power is transmitted to the power conversion unit for being further converted into the driving power.

Inverter for driving light source

The present invention discloses an arc-discharge detection device, which is used to detect the arc discharge persistently occurring in between an inverter and a load during an abnormal power transmission state. The inverter is arranged in a circuit board, and a carbonized loop is defined in an arc-discharge reaction area of the circuit board. In the present invention, a power-variation detection unit is electrically coupled to the carbonized loop and detects the power-level variation caused by the carbonized loop and generates a power-variation signal; an interpretation unit receives the power-variation signal and utilizes a decision level to determine whether the power variation is caused by arc discharge and outputs an abnormal-power signal if the interpretation result is positive; and a trigger unit is driven by the abnormal-power signal to interrupt the inverter's outputting high-voltage power to the load.

Arc-discharge detection device

An inverter for boosting rotational image displaying gain has a driving module to output a plurality of driving signals of the same frequency and same phase to synchronously drive a plurality of voltage transformation modules. The driving signals have a duty cycle consisting high luminance cycles and low luminance cycles. The driving module has a time sequence control means to code the driving signals that drive the voltage transformation modules as the high luminance cycles corresponding to the image display time of a front end display panel. The transformation time difference between the preceding image and the following image of the display panel is coded as the low luminance cycles. Thereby the rotational image displaying gain of the display panel can be enhanced.

An audio/video playback control system of liquid crystal display television (LCD TV) is provided to control an audio signal system, an image display system and a backlight source system of an LCD TV, and the control system uses an audio/video control unit to maintain an activated status in normal conditions, and the audio/video control unit receives a signal transmitted from an external control interface to determine whether or not to output an activate signal to activate the audio processing unit or activate the video processing unit and the backlight source system, or jointly activate the audio processing unit, the video processing unit and backlight source system, so as to achieve the digital control of the LCD TV and the power-saving purpose.

An improved driving circuit for piezoelectric lamps includes a power switch unit and at least one piezoelectric transformer. The power switch unit is connected to a power source. ON/OFF of the power switch unit controls power amount transmitted to the piezoelectric transformer. The piezoelectric transformer transforms the power and drives at least one load. Operation of the power switch unit is controlled by a duty cycle signal generated by a pulse modulation unit. The pulse modulation unit is connected to a buffer unit which generates a time series at start time to suppress instant output of the piezoelectric transformer, thereby to improve the problem of voltage surge at the start time happened to the conventional piezoelectric transformers.

Driving circuit for piezoelectric lamps

A backlight driving and control circuit with an isolated power factor correction structure includes a power stage for providing a power supply; a driver stage having a first power factor correction unit for correcting the power factor of the power supply and outputting DC power; an inverter for converting a middle-voltage DC power into a high-voltage power output and driving the operation of a backlight light emitting component; and a control/dimming stage having a second power factor correction unit, a DC transformer unit, and an AD board installed at a secondary winding of the DC transformer unit and grounded jointly with the inverter. With the invention, the power factor correction unit can be electrically isolated from the power stage, and the AD board can directly control/dim the inverter of the driver stage to change the operating status of the backlight light emitting component.

Backlight driving and control circuit with an isolated power factor correction structure

A backlight module actuation method aims to modulate a unsaturated luminance cycle in a dimming cycle for a backlight module in the condition of a saturated luminance. An oscillation amplitude time series of the duty cycle of a transformer at the rear end is set according to the dimming cycle to form a switch kinetic energy in the unsaturated luminance cycle. The switch kinetic energy can eliminate the parasite capacitance generated when the backlight module is in the condition of the saturated luminance.

Backlight module actuation method

A piezoelectric plate electric connection structure aims to receive an input voltage from a voltage source and goes through a polarization process to deliver an output voltage. It has an input electrode on a piezoelectric plate to receive input from the voltage source and an output electrode to deliver the output voltage that are located on two surfaces normal to the polarization direction. One surface has an independent electrode. Another surface has two separated electrodes. The input electrode and output electrode are respectively the independent electrode and one of the separated electrodes. The input and output electrodes are spaced by the piezoelectric plate which is dielectric and pressure-resistant. Thus discharge phenomenon can be prevented between the input electrode and the output electrode.
