A method for reducing a color edge phenomenon of a display panel is provided. The method is applicable to a display panel including a plurality of pixel units. The method includes: performing pixel adjustment on the pixel units at edges of the display panel. Each pixel unit includes at least three sub-pixels: a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, and a third sub-pixel. By adjusting positions, areas, or brightness of the sub-pixels, the color edge phenomenon of the display panel is effectively reduced or avoided.

Method for reducing color edge phenomenon of display panel

An electronic device is provided, including a display panel and a processor. The processor is coupled to the display panel, and is configured to calculate an average temperature of the display panel, where when the average temperature is greater than a first temperature threshold, the processor adjusts an upper brightness limit of the display panel to a first adjusted maximum brightness value, so that brightness of the display panel is not greater than the first adjusted maximum brightness value. The display image compensation method includes: receiving a first image signal and a second image signal sequentially at different time points, and displaying the first image signal by using a display unit; calculating current temperature information according to a display time length of the first image signal on the display unit and pixel data of the first image signal, and calculating a variation between the current temperature information and reference temperature information; and generating pixel compensation data corresponding to the current temperature information when the variation is greater than a preset value, compensating the second image signal according to the pixel compensation data, and outputting the compensated second image signal to the display unit.

A multi-screen color correction method and an electronic device are provided. The multi-screen color correction method is adapted with an electronic device with at least two display panels, and includes the following steps: obtaining image characteristics of test images displayed on the display panels respectively; performing a parameter operation on the image characteristics separately to obtain image correction parameters correspondingly; correcting colors of the display panels respectively according to the image correction parameters; obtaining luminance characteristics of the display panels by calculating based on the image correction parameters; and adjusting the luminance of the display panels according to the luminance characteristics.

A drive circuit for driving a display panel includes a dynamic refresh unit, a timer, and a black insertion drive unit. The dynamic refresh unit is configured to output a dynamic refresh signal, so as to control the display panel to display a plurality of frames in sequence. A frame time of each of the frames is adjusted according to the dynamic refresh signal. The timer is configured to compute a black insertion time signal. The black insertion drive unit is configured to output a black insertion drive signal according to the black insertion time signal, so as to perform black insertion on the frames.

A display device comprising a color filter layer and a light-emitting unit is provided. The color filter layer includes a first subpixel area, a second subpixel area and a third subpixel area. The first subpixel area includes a first quantum dot material, and the second subpixel area includes a second quantum dot material. The light-emitting unit provides light to the color filter layer. A wide color gamut and a polarization effect are achieved via the quantum dot materials and the polarization material. Furthermore, due to no additional loss of the light at the light-emitting unit (backlight module), the luminous efficiency is high.

Display device

A display panel includes a first substrate structure, a second substrate structure and a non-self-luminous display medium layer. The first substrate structure includes a first substrate, a first common electrode, a pixel electrode and a first alignment film. The second substrate structure is disposed opposite to the first substrate structure. The second substrate structure includes a second substrate, a second common electrode and a second alignment film. The non-self-luminous display medium layer is interposed between the first alignment film and the second alignment film. A first capacitance is formed between the first common electrode and the pixel electrode, a second capacitance is formed between the pixel electrode and the second common electrode, and a ratio of the second capacitance to the first capacitance is substantially between 0.7 and 1.3.

Display panel

A pixel array substrate and a display panel are provided. The pixel array substrate includes a substrate, scan line groups, data lines, and pixel structures. The scan line groups are disposed on the substrate. The data lines are intersected with the scan line groups. The pixel structures are connected to the scan line groups and the data lines. Each pixel structure includes an active device group, a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, and a connection electrode. The first pixel electrode is located between the second pixel electrode and the nscan line group. The connection electrode is located at a side of the first pixel electrode adjacent to one data line. The second pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device group through the connection electrode. The connection electrode, the first pixel electrode, and the second pixel electrode are of the same layer.

Pixel array substrate and display panel

A display panel includes a first substrate, scan lines, data lines, pixel units, a second substrate, a display medium, and a color filter layer. The scan lines and the data lines are disposed on the first substrate. The pixel units are electrically connected to the scan lines and the data lines. Each pixel unit includes first, second, third, and fourth pixels. An extension direction of slit patterns of the first and second pixels is different from an extension direction of at least one of slit patterns of the third and fourth pixels. The color filter layer includes a first color filter pattern disposed corresponding to the first pixel, a second color filter pattern disposed corresponding to the second pixel, and a third color filter pattern disposed corresponding to the third pixel and the fourth pixel.

The present invention provides a polymer stabilization alignment liquid crystal display panel having a plurality of pixel regions defined by plurals of data lines and gate lines. Each pixel region includes a main region and a sub region, and a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode correspond to the main region and the sub region respectively, wherein each of the data lines has a first width adjacent to the main display region and a second width adjacent to the sub display region, and the second width is larger than the first width. Each first pixel electrode is separated from the adjacent data line and thereby forming a gap therebetween. Each second pixel electrode partially overlaps the adjacent data line to form an overlap width. Accordingly, the present invention not only can increase the aperture ratio, but also well control the liquid crystal molecules located near the data lines.

A color filter array on pixel array substrate including a substrate, an active device array, a color filter array and a pixel electrode layer is provided. The substrate has a plurality of pixel regions and a light-shielding region. The active device array is disposed on the substrate. The color filter array is disposed on the substrate, and includes a light shielding patterned layer and a plurality of color filter patterns, wherein the light-shielding patterned layer is disposed in the light-shielding region. The color filter patterns are respectively disposed in the pixel regions and extend from the pixel regions into the light shielding regions, wherein the color filter patterns extending from adjacent pixel regions constitute a stacked structure within the light shielding regions. The pixel electrode layer is electrically connected to the active device array.

Color filter array on pixel array substrate and display panel

A display panel includes a first substrate, scan lines, data lines, pixel units, a second substrate, a display medium, and a color filter layer. The scan lines and the data lines are disposed on the first substrate. The pixel units are electrically connected to the scan lines and the data lines. Each pixel unit includes first, second, third, and fourth pixels. An extension direction of slit patterns of the first and second pixels is different from an extension direction of slit patterns of the third and fourth pixels. The color filter layer includes a first color filter pattern, a second color filter pattern, a third color filter pattern, and a fourth color filter pattern respectively corresponding to the first, second, third, and fourth pixel. The color of the fourth color filter pattern is different from the colors of the first, second, and third color filter patterns.
