An electronic camera having an electronic flash including a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) that emit different wavelength light is disclosed. Electric energy is supplied to a capacitor to the LEDs. A system controller controls light emitting amounts of the LEDs so that a color temperature of the electronic flash light becomes a color temperature that has been manually set with a color temperature setting switch or a color temperature of a light source determined by color temperature sensors.

A camera which continuously performs shooting at predetermined time intervals in conjunction with one shutter release operation, comprises: a strobe light source which emits strobe light whose color temperature is adjustable; a light emission control device which controls the strobe light source to emit the strobe light in synchronization with each shooting in the continuous shooting; and a color temperature adjustment device which adjusts the color temperature of the strobe light emitted from the strobe light source for each shooting in the continuous shooting to vary color temperature with each shooting within a predetermined color temperature variable range which has been previously set. Thereby, even in a situation where the strobe light emission at a right color temperature is difficult, it is possible to perform the shooting with the strobe light emission at the color temperature intended by the shooter.

In a digital camera including an electronic flash device using a light-emitting diode as a flash light source, white balance correction is performed by using a white balance correction value corresponding to a color temperature of light actually emitted from the electronic flash device.

It is an object of the present invention to provide a battery remaining amount warning apparatus capable of using battery power efficiently to the full and allowing the user to select its mode according to the remaining amount of the battery. The A/D converter always measures a voltage value of the battery and when the voltage value of the battery falls below a specified level due to consumption, etc., of the battery, the A/D converter applies a pulse signal to the dummy-load circuit and measures the voltage of the battery when the pulse signal is applied and the A/D converter detects a voltage drop of the battery. When a voltage drop of the battery is detected, the data LCD displays warnings about supply voltage drops corresponding to various modes such as a recording mode, playback mode, flash charge image pickup mode, etc., of the digital camera simultaneously.

The present invention is directed to a light emitting head for use with an electronic camera. The light emitting head is preferably formed as an array of red, green, and blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) provided on the sides of a light guide member, preferably a polygonal prism. A reflecting mirror is arranged on the bottom of the prism, and reflecting elements are provided on the sides of the prism that are not in contact with the LEDs such that, in operation, light from the LEDs is emitted through the top of the prism and prevented from leaking through the sides. A diffusion plate is provided on the emission surface, and the number of green LEDs is larger than the number of red and blue LEDs to produce a white light. In other embodiments, the light guide member is a cylinder or formed entirely as a diffusion plate.

A lighting apparatus includes: a reflecting surface for reflecting light, formed on a circuit board;&#x2014;an LED light source for emitting illumination light with a light-emitting diode, mounted on a part of the reflecting surface; and a reflector for reflecting ahead the light emitted from the LED light source, mounted on the circuit board so as to surround the LED light source and have the opened rear thereof closed by the reflecting surface.
