A multipolar connector capable of easily assembling components thereof without requiring high positional accuracy for portions of the components that are to be fixed to each other. A multipolar connector is a multipolar connector for use in electrically connecting circuit boards to each other. The multipolar connector includes an external terminal that is fixed to a circuit board, an insulating member that is fixed to the external terminal, and internal terminals that are respectively fitted to grooves, which are formed in the insulating member, so as to be partially exposed through the insulating member. The insulating member is placed such that the bottom surface thereof is in contact with an outer frame portion of the external terminal and fixed to the external terminal as a result of the top surface thereof being pressed by bending portions of the external terminal toward the outer frame portion.

Multipolar connector

A coaxial connector includes a first connector and a second connector, where a first connector and a second connector are aligned easily and a height dimension caused when the first connector and the second connector are connected is small. The first connector includes solder parts. Skirt parts that serve as a guide for alignment in connecting the first connector and the second connector are integrally formed with the outer conductor of the second connector. Cut portions are provided in portions that are included in the skirt parts and face the solder part. When the first connector and the second connector are connected, the solder parts are received in the cut portions.

Coaxial connector

A multipolar connector capable of easily assembling components thereof without requiring high positional accuracy for portions of the components that are to be fixed to each other. A multipolar connector is a multipolar connector for use in electrically connecting circuit boards to each other. The multipolar connector includes an external terminal that is fixed to a circuit board, an insulating memberthat is fixed to the external terminal, and internal terminals that are respectively fitted to grooves, which are formed in the insulating member, so as to be partially exposed through the insulating member. The insulating member is placed such that the bottom surface thereof is in contact with an outer frame portion of the external terminal and fixed to the external terminal as a result of the top surface thereof being pressed by bending portions of the external terminal toward the outer frame portion.

A connector, a connector set, and a manufacturing method for a connector that suppresses intrusion or radiation of noise. A first connector includes a first ground conductor including a first outer conductor having a cylindrical shape and a virtual first center axis extending in a first direction, and a first contact section connected to the first outer conductor; a first center conductor in an area surrounded by the first outer conductor when viewed from the first direction; and a first lock member. When the first connector and a second connector are connected to each other, the first outer conductor is inserted in a second outer conductor, the first lock member pushes the second connector toward one side of the first direction, and the first contact section contact a second ground conductor to surround the periphery of the first outer conductor when viewed from the first direction.

Connector, connector set, and manufacturing method for connector

A connector set includes a first connector and a second connector. The first connector has a plurality of first connection terminals, a first anchoring terminal, and a first insulative member, and the second connector has a plurality of second connection terminals, a second anchoring terminal, and a second insulative member. When the first connector and the second connector are coupled, the plurality of first connection terminals and the plurality of second connection terminals respectively make contact at the first contact portions and the second contact portions. The first anchoring terminal and the second anchoring terminal make contact with each other to maintain the coupling between the first connector and the second connector, and have a ring shape that encircles a periphery of the first contact portions and the second contact portions when the first connector and the second connector are coupled.

Connector set and connector

An outer peripheral surface of a first anchoring terminal has a first surface facing one side of a second direction and a second surface facing one side of a third direction in a first corner portion, and a third surface facing the other side of the second direction and a fourth surface facing the other side of the third direction in a second corner portion. An inner peripheral surface of a second anchoring terminal has a fifth surface facing the other side of the second direction and a sixth surface facing the other side of the third direction in the first corner portion, and a seventh surface facing the one side of the second direction and an eighth surface facing the one side of the third direction in the second corner portion. The first to fourth surfaces make contact with the fifth to eighth surfaces, respectively.

A connector, which can protect a photoelectric conversion device from noise and has high durability includes a plug provided at one end of an optical fiber and a receptacle to which the plug is mounted from above. The plug includes a photoelectric conversion device composed of a semiconductor device that is not covered with a metal case and a metal member provided so as to cover an upper side of the photoelectric conversion device. The receptacle includes a metal housing to which the plug is fixed. The plug and the receptacle are fixed to each other only by engagement between the metal member and the metal housing.

Photoelectric connector

There is provided a coaxial connector having a good radio-frequency characteristic includes a main body having a hole, or opening for allowing a probe to be inserted, a fixed terminal is fixed to the main body, a movable terminal including a fixed portion fixed to the main body and a plate spring portion extending from the fixed portion toward the fixed terminal. The plate spring portion is in contact with the fixed terminal and in contact with the main body at its tips. The plate spring portion can be displaced by the probe in a direction away from the fixed terminal.

In a coaxial connector, signal lines are switched over by mounting and dismounting a probe having a central contact, and fixed yoke terminals, a movable terminal, and a permanent magnet constitute a magnetic circuit. When the probe is dismounted, the contact portions are connected by the magnetic force of the permanent magnet. When the probe is mounted, the contact portions are disconnected against the magnetic force such that the central contact pushes a protrusion portion of the movable terminal.

Coaxial connector and communication device

An electronic component, a coaxial connector, and a communication device each have a structure wherein flux does not intrude into the components thereof during mounting. The coaxial connector includes a synthetic resin case divided into a lower-side insulative case and an upper-side insulative case, and a fixed terminal, a movable terminal, and an external terminal each being made of metal. The lower-side insulative case has two notches provided therein. One of the notches receives the lead potion of the fixed terminal, and the other of the notches receives the lead potion of the movable terminal. These notches are configured such that clearances are provided to prevent capillary effect from occurring between the lead portions of the respective two terminals and the lower-side insulative case.

Electronic component, coaxial connector, and communication device

A movable terminal and a coaxial connector have greatly improved durability and have outstanding contact/connection reliability, and are included in a communication apparatus. A coaxial connector includes a two-split synthetic resin case having a lower insulating case and an upper insulating case, a metal fixed terminal, a movable terminal, and an external terminal. The movable terminal having a spring movable function includes a movable contact portion with which the fixed terminal makes contact, a fixed portion fit in the upper and lower insulating cases, and a lead portion bent in an L-shape. The movable contact portion has a frame-shaped portion, a spring movable portion upwardly curved in an arcuate shape, and a contact portion provided at the approximate center of the spring movable portion.

Movable terminal, coaxial connector, and communication apparatus incorporating the same

A coaxial connector includes a synthetic resin insulating case having a lower insulating case and an upper insulating case, a metallic fixed terminal, a movable terminal, and an external terminal. The terminals are fixed to the upper insulating case by heat welding. Thereafter, the solid portions of the terminals are sandwiched between the insulating cases and the lower and upper insulating cases are assembled in only one direction.

Coaxial connector and communication device having the same

A coaxial connector includes an upper insulating case provided with columnar ribs in the four corners thereof. These ribs are provided to position a fixed terminal and a movable terminal. The tops of the ribs are arranged so that the fixed terminal is easily guided. Half-circular concavities are formed on both of the sides of the fixed terminal. The concavities are fitted onto the ribs of the upper insulating case, so that the fixed terminal can be incorporated into the upper insulating case with a high positional accuracy. Thereafter, the ribs are thermally deformed into a dome shape by a welder, so that the fixed terminal is fixed to the upper insulating case.

A movable terminal, a coaxial connector, and a communication apparatus all have a greatly reduced size and height. The coaxial connector includes an insulating case made from a synthetic resin and divided into a lower insulating case and an upper insulating case, a metallic fixed terminal, a movable terminal, and an external terminal (external conductor). The movable terminal is formed by punching a stainless steel plate made of SUS 301 having a spring property so as to have a predetermined shape and bending it. Then, on surfaces of the stainless steel (SUS 301), nickel plating films are formed and on the nickel plating films, gold is further plated so that the movable terminal has an overall thickness in the range of from about 45 &mgr;m to about 62 &mgr;m.
