A vehicle roof structure is provided capable of maintaining side collision performance of a vehicle even without a roof reinforcing member. The vehicle roof structure includes an annular frame that is joined to a circumferential edge of a roof panel (which includes an outer panel and an inner panel), and supports the roof panel. The annular frame has a higher rigidity than the roof panel, is arranged in an opening of a roof, and is joined to a pair of roof side rails, a front header, and a rear header.

A gap is provided at joining faces of a pair of metal works with an uneven shape when the metal works contact one another for joining. An adhesive agent having a chain-reacting curing reaction function is disposed within the gap. The adhesive agent is cured by an autogenously-generated curing reaction heat caused by an outer energy and an additional heat that is successively generated by the autogenously-generated curing reaction heat within the adhesive agent. A welding portion, where the works contact one another substantially directly, is welded by a laser beam, and the above-described energy for causing the autogenously-generated curing reaction heat for the adhesive agent is provided by the laser beam. Accordingly, a joining structure and method of metal works that can have less limitation in a joining location is provided.

In a frame structure for a vehicle having a reinforcement body provided inside a frame body, the frame body comprises a first face portion and a second face portion extending in a direction substantially perpendicular to a rotational-axis direction of a bending moment occurring when a torsional load acts on a vehicle body, and third face portions positioned between the first and second face portions, and the reinforcement body comprises third-face connection portions connected to the third face portions, a first-face connection portion connected to the first face portion at a corner portion, a first-face non-contact portion provided away from the first face portion, a second-face connection portion connected to the second face portion at a corner portion, and a second-face non-contact portion provided away from the second face portion.

Frame structure for vehicle

A frame body comprises a first face portion on which a compressive force acts in case a load is applied, a second face portion on which a tensional force acts, and third and fourth face portions which connect the first and second face portions. The third and fourth face portions are respectively equipped with a reinforcing member which comprises a base portion which is away from the frame body and plural base portions which project from the base portion and are joined to the frame body. The convex portions have plural convexities which are arranged so as to extend both in the longitudinal and sectional directions of a frame.

There are provided an adhesive-agent disposing step of disposing the adhesive agent, a first curing step of curing part of the adhesive agent disposed (including an adhesive-agent-disposition providing step of the present invention), a painting step of coating a paint on the works, and a heating step (a second curing step) of applying a heating treatment with a drying device. There can be provided a joining method of works that can ensure a high joining quality and productivity.

Joining structure of metal works

The thermoplastic elastomer composition of this invention includes 2 through 14 mass % of PP; 19 through 35 mass % of PB-1; and 30 through 52 mass % of olefin-based rubber, and a weight ratio of PB-1/(PP+PB-1) is 56 through 90% and a weight ratio of PB-1/(PP+(PB-1)+olefin-based rubber) is 25 through 47%.

Thermoplastic elastomer composition and molded member made of the same

A long glass fiber filler reinforced resin material for molding includes a masterbatch formed of a composite of a matrix resin with a polypropylene (PP) component and a long glass fiber filler and a diluent resin made from an ethylene-propylene block copolymer. The above-described matrix resin of the masterbatch includes the PP component having a pentad isotactic index of at least 95%, and a melt flow rate (MFR) of the matrix resin of the masterbatch is 100 to 500 g/10 min and larger than six times a melt flow rate of the diluent resin. The long glass fiber filler is in a content of 30 to 50 mass percent with respect to a total mass thereof.
