An electronic device includes a case, a multi-directional input unit having an annular base and a flange that extends from an outer circumferential surface of the annular base and fits part of the case, the flange guiding light emitted from a light source and radiating the light; and a cover having a through-hole through which part of the multi-directional input unit passes, the cover abutting the flange and being secured to the case.

An electronic device includes a housing, a first light guide plate, a second light guide plate, and a first adhesive member. A first hole in position to a first light-emitting source and a second hole in position to a second light-emitting source are formed on the housing. The first light guide plate has a first projection to be inserted into the first hole. The second light guide plate has a main-body plate portion to be superposed on the first light guide plate with the first projection penetrating therethrough and a second projection to be inserted into the second hole. The second light guide plate blocks out the light of the first light-emitting source with the main-body plate portion. The first adhesive member is inserted between the second light guide plate and the housing, and attaches the main-body plate portion to the housing.

Electronic device and assembly method of the same

An electronic device includes a housing, a display module, and a touch panel. On the housing, an opening is formed. The display module is fixed to the inside of the housing in such a way that a display surface faces the side of the opening. The touch panel is placed to be opposed to the display surface of the display module via a first elastic member placed on the display surface of the display module, and is fixed to the housing via a second elastic member placed on the housing. Hardness of the first elastic member is higher than that of the second elastic member.

The second elastic member includes a convex portion that elastically contacts with the first elastic member in a closed state in which the first casing and the second casing are superposed.
