Connector

A cable connection structural body is used for connecting a multi-core cable having a plurality of signal lines to a substrate, and the cable connection structural body includes a substrate fixation portion that is fixed to the substrate, and a cable holding portion that forms a space passing the plurality of signal lines therethrough between the cable holding portion and a surface of the substrate when the substrate fixation portion is fixed to the substrate.

Cable connection structural body and cable connector

A connector is provided with a lock portion, a lock supporting portion and a lock releasing member. A part of the connector forms a fitting portion to be received by a mating fitting portion of a mating connector in a mated state. The lock portion is provided in the fitting portion and locks a mating lock portion in the mated state. The lock supporting portion supports the lock portion to allow movement of the lock portion in a direction intersecting with a fitting direction. The lock releasing member is provided with a pressing portion. When release operation of the lock releasing member is performed, the pressing portion presses a pressed portion to move the lock portion toward an inside of the fitting portion in a perpendicular to the fitting direction.

Connector and connector assembly

A printed wiring board comprises a pattern layer, an insulating layer and a ground layer laminated in an upper-lower direction. The printed wiring board is formed with one or more vias. The insulating layer is provided between the pattern layer and the ground layer. The ground layer is formed with a ground pattern. The pattern layer is formed with one common ground plane and two or more pads. The pads are arranged in a lateral direction. The common ground plane is located forward of the pads in the front-rear direction. The vias include a first via that connects the common ground plane and the ground pattern with each other. The pads include one or more ground pads and one or more signal pads. The ground pads are connected with the common ground plane. The signal pads are unconnected with the common ground plane.

Printed wiring board

A connector reduced in dimension in a front-rear direction by reducing the distance between an operating portion of an operation member and hooking portions of a locking member. The locking member maintains a state of a housing fitted to a mating housing, and includes a body, hooking portions provided at respective free end-side portions of the body, for being hooked to the mating housing to thereby maintain the fitted state, and a transmission portion for transmitting a force to move the operation member toward the rear of the housing, to the body, to thereby displace the hooking portions away from the mating housing. The operation member includes an operating portion for applying the force to the transmission portion. These portions are each formed with a flat surface inclined in a manner approaching the housing as it extends toward the rear of the housing.

Connector having an operation member and a locking member

A connector is mountable on an object in an up-down direction and mateable with a mating connector along a front-rear direction perpendicular to the up-down direction. The mating connector comprises first mating contacts and second mating contacts. The connector comprises a holding member, first contacts and second contacts. Each of the first contacts has a first contact portion, a first fixed portion and a first coupling portion. The first contact portions are brought into contact with the first mating contacts. Each of the second contacts has a second contact portion, a second fixed portion and a second coupling portion. The second contact portions are brought into contact with the second mating contacts. The first coupling portions of the first contacts and the second coupling portions of the second contacts overlap with each other. The second coupling portion intersects with both the front-rear direction and the up-down direction.

A connector is mateable with a mating connector along a mating direction. The mating connector includes a plurality of mating contacts. The connector comprising a plurality of contacts which are held by a housing. Each of the contacts has a contact portion, a terminal portion and an intersecting portion. The terminal portion is positioned at a position different from a position of the contact portion in a pitch direction perpendicular to the mating direction. The intersecting portion is positioned between the contact portion and the terminal portion. The intersecting portions intersect both the mating direction and the pitch direction in a plane which is defined by the mating direction and the pitch direction. The contacts include at least a plurality of first contacts and a plurality of second contacts. The contact portions of the second contacts are positioned apart from the contact portions of the first contacts in a predetermined direction perpendicular to both the mating direction and the pitch direction. The first contacts include signal contacts which constitute at least one differential pair. The signal contacts of the differential pair have shapes same as each other.

A connector is mateable with a mating connector comprising a mating fitting portion and a locked portion. The connector comprises a fitted portion and a lock structure arranged in a first direction. The fitted portion is fitted to the fitting portion under a mated state where the connector is mated with the mating connector. The lock structure includes a lock member and an operation member. The lock member has an operated portion and a lock portion. The operation member has an operation portion. The lock portion locks the locked portion under the mated state. Under the mated state, when the operation portion is moved from a first position toward a second position, the operated portion is operated and moved by the operation portion. The lock portion is moved in conjunction with the operated portion along a direction perpendicular to the first direction to unlock the locked portion.

Electrical connector

A connector includes a spring portion, a lock member and a movable member. When the movable member is forced to be moved from a non-operation position to an operation position, an operation portion of the movable member operates an operated portion of the lock member to move a lock portion of the lock member from a lock position to an unlock position. When the movable member is held at the operation position, a front end of the spring portion presses a pressed portion of the movable member to move the movable member towards the non-operation position. When the movable member is released, the movable member is moved back from the operation position to the non-operation position so that the operation portion stops to operate the operated portion to move the lock portion back to the lock position.

A connector has signal contacts and ground contacts, each of which includes a contact portion to be connected with a mating connector. In a predetermined plane, the contact portions of the signal contacts and the contact portions of the ground contacts are grouped and arranged into a first line and a second line. In the predetermined plane, four specific signal contact portions are surrounded by four specific ground contact portions. The four specific signal contact portions are the contact portions of the signal contacts constituting two pairs. The four specific ground contact portions are two of the contact portions of the ground contacts belonging to the first line and two of the contact portions of the ground contacts belonging to the second line. In the predetermined plane, a minimum distance between two of the specific ground contact portions is smaller than another minimum distance between one of the specific signal contact portions and one of the contact portions of the signal contacts other than the specific signal contact portions.

A shielded connector which makes a shell unnecessary while ensuring a shielding function. A housing holds a housing plurality of contacts each including a contact portion brought into contact with an associated one of contact portions of a plurality of mating contacts. The connector is provided with a shield member including a shield plate body which partitions the contact portions of the contacts into two groups, a first spring portion which is brought into contact with an inner wall surface of a shell of a mating connector, and a second spring portion which is brought into contact with the inner wall surface of the shell.
