It is provided that a method for producing a biaxially oriented polyester film that can be used for industrial and packaging applications. A method for producing a biaxially oriented polyester film, comprising: a step of feeding a polyester resin into an extruder, a step of extruding the molten polyester resin from an extruder to obtain a molten resin sheet at 250 to 310&#xb0; C., a step of attaching the molten resin sheet closely to a cooling roll by an electrostatic application method to obtain an unstretched sheet, and a step of biaxially stretching the unstretched sheet, wherein the polyester resin fulfills the following (A) to (C): (A) the polyester resin comprises a polyethylene furandicarboxylate resin composed of a furandicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol; (B) an intrinsic viscosity of the polyester resin is 0.50 dL/g or more; (C) a melt specific resistance value at 250&#xb0; C. of the polyester resin is 3.0&#xd7;10&#x3a9;&#xb7;cm or less.

The film of the present invention is a polyester film, which is a biaxially oriented film of a polyester resin including a dicarboxylic acid component containing mainly a furandicarboxylic acid and a glycol component containing mainly ethylene glycol, wherein the film has a plane orientation coefficient &#x394;P of not less than 0.005 and not more than 0.200 and a film thickness of not thinner than 1 micro meter and not thicker than 300 micro meters.

The present invention provides a laminated thermoplastic resin film which is excellent in adhesion and blocking resistance. A laminated polyester film in which a coating layer whose main constituent component is a water-soluble or water-dispersible resin is provided on at least one side of a polyester film, wherein the water resistance value of the film is at least 90%, the discoloration after melt molding is no more than 10, and the haze value change after heating is no more than 20%. Adhesion, water resistance, recoverability, and whitening resistance after heating are all excellent.

The present invention provides a multi-layer resin film having excellent oxygen gas barrier properties, particularly even at high humidity, and further having no chlorine content. The multi-layer resin film of the present invention has a biaxially-stretched polypropylene resin film, an adhesive layer formed on at least one surface of the polypropylene resin film, and a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer formed on the adhesive layer, wherein the polyvinyl alcohol resin layer has a value of crystallinity parameter (CP (M//) &perp;) not less than 0.8. The multi-layer resin film of the present invention can be prepared by forming an adhesive layer on at least one surface of an unstretched polypropylene resin film; stretching the film in one direction; forming a polyvinyl alcohol resin layer on the adhesive layer; and stretching the film in another direction perpendicular to the direction of previous stretching.

Multi-layer resin films having excellent oxygen gas barrier properties and process for their production

A polyamide film satisfying (a) a haze value of not more than 5.0%, (b) a coefficient of kinetic friction (A) of not more than 1.0 under 50% humidity, the coefficient (A) being measured with regard to fiction between the same two polyamide films, and (c) a ratio of coefficients of kinetic friction (B)/(A) of not more than 1.5, the (B) being a coefficient of kinetic friction at 65% humidity, a billy oriented polyamide film showing an average dimensional change of not more than 3.0% and a difference between the smallest dimensional change and the largest dimensional change of not more than 2.0%, between before immersion in hot water at 95&deg; C. and during the immersion, and an average dimensional change of not more than 4.0% and a difference between the smallest dimensional change and the largest dimensional change of not more than 2.0%, between the film without treatment and the film after withdrawal from said hot water; and a polyamide laminate film containing the film as a substrate layer. The films afforded by the present invention have superior properties and are industrially advantageous in a broad range of applications.

Heat-shrinkable polyester films suitable for label use, wherein the value of tan &dgr; for dynamic viscoelasticity in a main shrinkage direction of the film is 0.15 or higher at 65&deg; C. and takes a maximum of 0.40 or higher at a temperature of 65&deg; C. to 100&deg; C. both inclusive, and the heat shrinkability in the main shrinkage direction of the film after treatment in hot water at 80&deg; C. for 10 seconds is 30% or higher, have excellent shrinkage characteristics over a wide range of temperature extending from low temperatures to high temperatures, particularly in the low temperature range, which may cause only rare occurrence of shrinkage spots, wrinkles, strains, longitudinal sinking, and other defects during heat shrinkage, and which may further have excellent break resistance.

Heat-shrinkable polyester films

A laminated polyester film comprising a polyester base film and a layer comprising a polyester graft copolymer and which is formed at least on one surface of said polyester base film, said polyester graft copolymer comprising a hydrophobic copolymerizable polyester resin and an acid anhydride having at least one double bond grafted to said polyester resin. The laminated polyester film of the present invention exhibits good adhesive property, water resistance and resistance to blocking, particularly excellent adhesive property, by applying a specific polyester graft copolymer to a polyester base film.

A thermoplastic laminate film containing a thermoplastic substrate film and a layer formed from a resin composition containing a polyester graft copolymer (A) and a resin (B), the layer being formed on at least one side of the thermoplastic substrate film, the polyester graft copolymer (A) being obtained by grafting at least one polymerizable unsaturated monomer, which contains an acid anhydride having a double bond, to a hydrophobic polyester resin, and the resin (B) containing at least one member selected from the group consisting of a polyurethane resin, an acrylic resin and a vinyl resin. The adhesion improving layer of the inventive thermoplastic laminate film shows superior adhesion strength in a broad range of applications. Specifically, it is evident in an ink layer of printing ink, UV ink and the like; an adhesive layer in dry laminate and extrusion laminating; a thin film layer obtained by vacuum vapor deposition, electron beam vapor deposition, sputtering, ionic plating, CVD and plasma polymerization of metal or inorganic substance or oxides thereof; an oxygen moisture absorbent layer; an organic barrier layer; an ink jet image receiving layer and the like.

Thermoplastic laminate film

A conductive laminate comprising an inorganic or organic substrate and a conductive layer formed on at least a part of a surface of said substrate, the conductive layer having a surface resistance at 25.degree. C., under 15% RH atmosphere of 10.sup.6 -10.sup.12 .OMEGA./.quadrature., a charge attenuation time of not more than 2 sec and a variation in surface resistance after heating at 250.degree. C. for one minute of not more than 5.0. The present invention provides an economical conductive laminate having antistatic performance even under low humidity, which performance being sufficient to overcome problems caused by static electricity, superior heat resistance and transparency, as well as superior characteristics of a structure such as a thermoplastic film.

A gas barrier film comprising a polyamide film and an inorganic deposited layer laminated thereon, wherein the maximum shrinkage percentage after boiling treatment at 95.degree. C. for 30 minutes is not more than 3.5%. The gas barrier film of the present invention has excellent gas barrier property and water vapor-proof property even after boiling or retort treatment. Hence, the film of the present invention can serve well as a wrapping material for a wide range of objects that require high gas barrier property, such as food, medical products, industrial materials and the like, and has great industrial value.
