An approach is provided in which the approach displays a graphical editor and a text editor concurrently on a display. The text editor displays a document text that includes multiple entities and the graphical editor displays multiple nodes corresponding to the multiple entities. In response to receiving a user selection on the graphical editor that selects a first one of the multiple nodes, the approach identifies, based on the document text, one or more second nodes that correspond to the first node and repositions the one or more second nodes to a second position on the graphical editor based on a first position of the first node.

The present invention may be a method, a computer system, and/or a computer program product. An embodiment of the present invention provides a computer-implemented method for obtaining one or more candidates for a relationship type and its label. The method comprises the following steps: analyzing a document annotated with entity types, the analysis comprising counting the number of pairs of co-occurring entity types in each sentence in the document, and judging whether there exists, in the document, a candidate for a label of a relationship type which shows relationship between or among the co-occurring entity types and, if the judgment is positive, storing a candidate for the relationship type and a candidate for its label; and outputting a result of the analysis. The method may further comprise, if the judgment is negative, storing a candidate for the relationship type without a candidate for its label.

Obtaining candidates for a relationship type and its label

A system, method, and computer program product for text annotation. The system includes at least one processing component, at least one memory component, an annotation corpus, and a document processor. The document processor is configured to receive a document including at least one annotated text span. The at least one annotated text span is annotated with a type from a type system (e.g., a domain-specific type system). The document processor is also configured to extract linguistic features of the at least one annotated text span, and generate a type attribute for the type based on the extracted linguistic features. Further, the document processor is configured to receive a new annotated text span, which is annotated with the type. The document processor extracts linguistic features of the new annotated text span, and determines whether the linguistic features match the type attribute.

Linguistically consistent document annotation

An approach is provided in which an information handling system displays a first editor on a display that displays nodes corresponding to entities included in a document text. In response to receiving a user selection corresponding to a first one of the nodes, the information handling system identifies one or more second nodes corresponding to the first node based on the document text. In turn, the information handling system repositions the one or more second nodes to a second position on the first editor based on a first position of the first node.

A system comprises a display unit; an input device configured to receive user input; and a processing unit communicatively coupled to the display unit and the input device. The processing unit is configured to cause the display unit to display a plurality of lines of natural language text on the display unit together with corresponding annotations including a plurality of relation lines. The processing unit is further configured to adjust spacing between each of the plurality of lines of natural language text based on the corresponding annotations.

In an approach to rule and dictionary creation based on an improvement cycle, a computing device receives a corpus, wherein the corpus comprises textual data. The computing device stores, in a rule database, a rule based on a user input. The computing device stores, in a dictionary, one or more words based on the corpus. The computing device updates one or more of the rule database and the dictionary based on an improvement cycle comprising user selections from system-generated recommendations.
