A battery connector () for a disk-shaped battery having positive and negative electrodes includes an insulative housing () having surface mountable positive and negative terminals () received therein. The insulative housing defines a battery receiving cavity dimensioned to receive the disk-shaped battery. The negative terminal () includes a spring contact portion () extending from a base wall so as to be engagable with the negative electrode on a bottom surface of the battery when the battery is inserted in the battery connector. The positive terminal () includes a spring contact section () adapted to engage the positive electrode on an opposed upper surface of the battery when the battery is insertable within the battery connector, and a deflectable connection section () attached to the spring contact section so as to permit the spring contact section to be flexed outwardly thereby allowing release of the battery from the battery connector.

Battery connector

An electrical connector assembly comprises a hard disk (), an electrical connector () and a bracket () for receiving the hard disk () and the electrical connector () therein. The bracket () comprises a base portion (), a pair of sidewalls () extending upwardly from the base portion () a first recess () and a first elastic plate () partly receiving in the first recess (). Besides, the two sidewalls () define a pair of enveloping member () closing to each other. Each enveloping member () comprises a second recess () and a second elastic plate () engaging with the second recess (). When assembled, the second elastic plate () is partly received in the second recess ().

Electrical connector assembly

A battery holder () includes an insulative housing (), a positive contact () and a negative contact (). The housing defines a bottom wall () and a sidewall () extending from the bottom wall, which form a receiving room (). The housing further defines a spring wall (). The spring wall can elastically deform for positioning a battery or releasing a battery. A protecting wall () is defined around the spring wall, and a predetermined distance is formed between the protecting wall and the spring wall. While the spring wall is forced to deform, the protecting wall can stop the deforming process of the spring wall and thus can protect the spring wall from breakage.

Battery holder

An optical switch ( ) according to the present invention comprises a base ( ), a switching element ( ), a first input port ( ), a first output port ( ), a second input port ( ), a second output port ( ), a third input port ( ), and a third output port ( ). Six holders ( ) are arranged symmetrically on the base to hold the three input ports, in alignment with the corresponding three output ports. The switching element is accommodated in a space ( ) surrounded by the input and output ports. A driver (not shown) drives the switching element to move in or out of the space or to rotate in the space, thereby switching light beams transmitted from the three input ports between the three different output ports.

Optical switch

An optic switch includes a casing to which first and second input devices and first and second output devices are attached. The first input and output devices are aligned with each other and the second input and output devices are aligned with each other. A movable reflection device is movable between a non-engaged position and an engaged position between the input and output devices by a driving device. The movable reflection device has first and second reflective surfaces. A fixed reflection device is fixed inside the casing and has a third reflective surface which is parallel to and opposes the first reflective surface when the movable reflection device is at the engaged position. When the movable reflection device is at the non-engaged position, optic signals from the first and second input devices are allowed to directly pass to the first and second output devices respectively. When the movable reflection device is at the engaged position, the optic signal from the second input device is reflected and redirected by the second reflective surface to the first output device and the optic signal from the first input device is reflected at least three times by the first and third reflective surfaces and redirected to the second output device. Thus a switching operation is realized.

Optic switch

An optical switch ( ) includes a cover ( ), a base ( ), two input ports ( ), two output ports ( ), a movable reflecting element ( ), a fixed reflecting element ( ), and a driving means ( ). The movable reflecting element has a first mirror ( ) and an opposite facing second mirror ( ). The fixed reflecting element has a third mirror ( ). The movable reflecting element is movable by the driving means from a first position, in which signals transmit from input to output ports without reflection from mirrors, to a second position, in which reflection from the mirrors effects a switching of the optical signals to different output ports. The presence of the fixed reflecting element automatically compensates for a distance between the first and second mirrors, allowing reflected signals to accurately align with respective output ports.

An electrical card connector includes an insulative housing, a plurality of contacts fixed in the housing and a switch device. The housing defines a plurality of contact receiving passageways for receiving the corresponding contacts therein, and switch receiving cavities for accommodating the switch device therein. The switch device has a pair of identical switch terminals and a bridge member for establishing electrical connection between the pair of switch terminals. The switch device can be pre-designed either to be normally open or to be normally closed. When an electrical card is inserted into the electrical card connector, the switch terminals disengage from or engage with the bridge member, opening or closing a corresponding electrical circuit in switch circuitry.
