A display driving circuit including a source driver and plural switch circuits is provided. The source driver includes plural source line and a control terminal. The source lines are electrically coupled to plural pixel units. The control terminal is for providing a control voltage. Each of the switch circuits includes a select terminal, an input terminal, and an output terminal. The select terminal is electrically coupled to the control terminal. The input terminal is electrically coupled to a supply power so as to apply a supply voltage on the input terminal. The output terminals of the switch circuits are electrically coupled to the pixel units.

Display driving circuit and display device having the same

A display device and a display control method are provided. The display device is applicable to a display panel. The display device includes a display driver integrated circuit (IC), a gate driver in panel (GIP) circuit and a GIP check circuit. The GIP circuit includes a plurality of shift registers connected in series, and the shift registers may generate a plurality of gate driving signals to control operations of a plurality of rows of display units within the display panel, respectively. The GIP check circuit may sequentially check whether a plurality of specific gate driving signals among the gate driving signals are available. The display driver IC may generate a check result according to at least one signal from the display panel, and selectively adjust display data corresponding to an image to make the display panel display an adjusted image according to the check result.

Display device and display control method

A circuitry for controlling a backlight module, the circuitry includes a local dimming control circuit and a backlight control circuit. The local dimming control circuit is configured to generate local dimming data based on image data and an arrangement of a plurality of light emitting units of the backlight module, in which the local dimming data includes a first local dimming data corresponding to a first light emitting unit of the plurality of light emitting units and a second local dimming data corresponding to a second light emitting unit of the plurality of light emitting units, and the number of bits of the first local dimming data is different from the number of bits of the second local dimming data. The backlight control circuit is configured to control the backlight module to irradiate backlight based on the local dimming data.

Circuitry, local dimming control method and display apparatus

A backlight module is disclosed, which includes light emitting units arranged in columns. Each light emitting unit includes a light emitter and a first switch in parallel connection. The first switch is configured to selectively bypass the light emitter. In the backlight module, the light emitters in the same column of light emitting units are in serial connection.
