A system and a method of changeable lens self-adaptive control and compensation are provided. The system includes a lens holder, an actuator, and a controller. The lens holder carries a plurality of types of lenses. The actuator is connected to the lens holder, and drives the lens holder to move. The controller is electrically connected to the actuator, and is configured to determine whether maximum predetermined output torsion of the actuator is incapable of driving the lens holder when the lens holder is at each of positions when controlling the actuator to drive the lens holder, and to build a lookup table corresponding to each of the positions. The controller is configured to record a position to be a broken point in the lookup table in response to the maximum predetermined output torsion being incapable of drive the lens holder when the lens holder is at the position.

System and method of changeable lens self-adaptive control and compensation

A frame correction method includes the following steps. Firstly, a correction frame is projected, wherein the correction frame has a number of original-boundary contour points. Then, in the first boundary contour adjustment, in response to a position adjustment of the first contour-adjusted one of the original-boundary contour points, correspondingly adjust the position of at least one symmetrical one of the original-boundary contour points, wherein at least one symmetrical one and the first contour-adjusted one are symmetrically disposed. Then, in response to the position adjustment of the first contour-adjusted one, a number of first new boundary contour points and a number of first open correction points are added.

Frame correction method and projector using the same

A control method for an optical device includes a detector detecting a current position of a lens, a processor calculating a distance between the current position and a target position, the processor determining whether the current position is within a predetermined range according to the distance, and the processor controlling a driving device to move the lens into an allowable range according to whether the current position is within the predetermined range. The predetermined range and the allowable range are corresponding to the target position.

Control method and optical device for detecting a position of a lens and accordingly move the lens into an allowable range

A projector includes an image converting module, a processing module and an imaging module. The image converting module receives an original image sequence with a first frame rate. The image converting module inserts a plurality of supplement images into the original image sequence per second to output a supplement image sequence with a second frame rate, wherein the second frame rate is larger than the first frame rate. The processing module is coupled to the image converting module. The processing module receives the supplement image sequence from the image converting module. The processing module ignores the supplement images and processes and outputs the original image sequence. The imaging module is coupled to the processing module. The imaging module receives the original image sequence from the processing module and outputs the original image sequence by the first frame rate.

Projector and projection method

A projector includes a lens, a displacement adjusting unit, an imaging unit, a temperature sensing unit, a storage unit and a processing unit. The displacement adjusting unit is connected to the lens. The temperature sensing unit senses a current temperature. The storage unit stores a plurality of temperature ranges and a plurality of displacement variations corresponding to the temperature ranges. The processing unit receives a current image. The processing unit compares the current temperature with the temperature ranges to determine a current displacement variation corresponding to the current temperature from the displacement variations. The processing unit performs at least one of following steps according to the current displacement variation: controlling the displacement adjusting unit to adjust a displacement of the lens; adjusting a displacement of the current image on the imaging unit; and performing an image adjusting process for the current image.

Projector capable of adjusting a projected image according to a current temperature

A projection brightness adjustment method includes a power source driving a projector to project an image, a temperature sensor detecting a working temperature of the projector, the projector calculating a pixel average amount corresponding to each pixel brightness level of the image by dividing a total pixel amount of the image by a total brightness level amount of the image, and the projector controlling the power source to output an overload current to the projector for image projection when determining the working temperature is less than an upper operating-temperature limit and determining a level amount of at least one pixel brightness level having a pixel amount larger than the pixel average amount is less than or equal to half of the total brightness level amount. The magnitude of the overload current is between a maximum current limit and the upper operating-current limit.

Projection brightness adjustment method for controlling current output of power source and projector thereof

A dynamic brightness adjusting method is used for adjusting output brightness of an image projected by a projector. The method controls a lighting component of the projector to emit light in an adjustable lighting power, and controls a light limiting device disposed in front of the lighting component to allow the light to pass through in an adjustable light-passing rate. In an embodiment, the method adjusts the lighting power and the light-passing rate at the same time. In another embodiment, according to a brightness range in which a nominal maximum brightness value relative to an input image is located, the method fixes the lighting power and adjusts the light-passing rate according to the fixed lighting power and the nominal maximum brightness value, or fixes the light-passing rate and adjusts the lighting power according to the fixed light-passing rate and the nominal maximum brightness value.

Dynamic brightness adjusting method and projector

A projector includes a light sensor, a micromirror device, a light source and a processor. The light sensor senses an ambient brightness. The micromirror device is controlled by a duty cycle. The light source is controlled by a driving current. The processor receives an image including a plurality of non-black pixels. When a brightness of at least one of the non-black pixels is lower than the ambient brightness, the processor increases one of the duty cycle and the driving current. When the brightness of at least one of the non-black pixels is still lower than the ambient brightness after adjustment, the processor increases another one of the duty cycle and the driving current. When the brightness of at least one of the non-black pixels is still lower than the ambient brightness after adjustment, the processor performs an image processing process for the brightness of the non-black pixels.

Projector and brightness adjusting method

A projector has a light source, a phosphor wheel, a digital mirror device (DMD) and a control unit. The phosphor wheel has a plurality of color sections. The light source projects a light source beam with a specific intensity onto a specific color section of the phosphor wheel when the DMD is operated at a specific duty cycle. By adjusting at least one of the specific duty cycle and the specific intensity, the control unit can adjust real brightness to approach specific target brightness of the specific color section so as to optimize white balance of the projector.
