The present disclosure proposes an optical compensation film for a liquid crystal display, including a first C-plate arranged on one side of a liquid crystal panel, a first polyvinyl alcohol layer arranged outside the first C-plate, a second C-plate arranged on the other side of the liquid crystal panel, an A-plate arranged outside the second C-plate and a second polyvinyl alcohol layer arranged outside the A-plate, wherein the in-plane compensation value for optical path difference of the A-plate lies in the range of [92, 184] nm, the compensation value for optical path difference in the thickness direction of the A-plate lies in the range of [46, 92] nm. The present disclosure also proposes a liquid crystal display including the above-mentioned optical compensation film for reducing light leakage and increasing contrast.

A thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate and a display panel are provided. The TFT array substrate includes multiple pixels arranged in an array. Each pixel includes first through third sub-pixels sequentially arranged along a first direction. The first through third sub-pixels are connected to a same scan line. The TFT array substrate further includes first through third data lines sequentially arranged along the first direction. The first through third data lines respectively are for driving the first through third sub-pixels. The first sub-pixel includes first and second areas, the second sub-pixel includes third and fourth areas, and the third sub-pixel includes fifth and sixth areas, arranged along a second direction. A voltage difference between a sub-pixel electrode in the sixth area and a common electrode is different from a voltage difference between a sub-pixel electrode in the fifth area and the common electrode.

The invention provides a thin film transistor (TFT) array substrate and a display panel. The TFT array substrate is disposed with multiple pixels arranged in an array. The TFT array substrate further is disposed with first through third data lines sequentially arranged along the first direction. The first through third data lines respectively are for driving the first through third sub-pixels. A method for driving a liquid crystal panel comprises providing a liquid crystal panel with a plurality of pixel units in a matrix with M rows and N columns, wherein each of the pixel unit has at least a blue sub-pixel, dividing the liquid crystal panel into multiple display units, wherein each display unit comprises two of the pixel units, providing a gray level value, B, to the blue sub-pixels of each of the display units with a higher gray level value, BH, and a lower gray level value, BL, to the blue sub-pixels respectively, wherein the combination of BH and BL results the blue sub-pixels in the display unit to approach a predetermined Gamma Curve, and &#x3b3;=1.8&#x2dc;2.4 at a perspective viewing angle. LCD panel and driving method thereof

In the present disclosure, one TFT substrate and a liquid crystal panel are disclosed. The TFT substrate includes a plurality of pixel cells, and each of the pixel cells includes three sub-pixel cells. Within one pixel cell, at least one sub-pixel includes single pixel area. Each of the other pixel cells includes two isolated pixel areas, and brightness of the at least two isolated pixel areas being different. In view of the above, the performance of the liquid crystal panel is enhanced when the viewing angle is large. In addition, the transmission rate of the liquid crystal panel may be maintained to be higher, which saves the power consumption of the backlight module so as to save the energy.

The present invention discloses a method of correcting complexion color shift of LCD including obtaining accounting ratio of a complexion region of an image which will be shown in the LCD; comparing the accounting ratio of a complexion region to a predetermined value; and applying a first gamma value to conduct gamma correction of the data of red color, green color, and blue color if the accounting ratio is larger than the predetermined value; wherein the first gamma value is larger than 2.2. The present invention also discloses a system of correcting complexion color shift of LCD. The gamma value of front viewing angle of the LCD is increased. Accordingly, the gamma value of the image of big viewing angle approaches the curve of gamma value 2.2 more in the LCD and wash out of the complexion of the image of big viewing angle is eliminated.

A driving method and a driving device of a liquid crystal panel are provided. Pixels in a liquid crystal panel are divided into groups, wherein each group includes two pixels; determining an original greyscale value of a first color sub-pixel and an original greyscale value of a second color sub-pixel of each pixel; acquiring two actual greyscale values for driving the first color sub-pixel and two actual greyscale values for driving the second color sub-pixel in each group. A liquid crystal panel and a liquid crystal display are disclosed. The liquid crystal display includes a liquid crystal cell having a light incident side and a light emitting side, a first polarizer arranged on the light incident side of the liquid crystal panel, a second polarizer arranged on the light emitting side of the liquid crystal panel, and a half wave plate arranged between the first polarizer and the liquid crystal cell.
