A light source system includes a first light source and a beam conversion element. The first light source is configured to emit a first light. The beam conversion element is configured to convert the first light into a condensed light and a diffused light. The beam conversion element has a light transmission surface, the light transmission surface includes a flat region and a curved-surface region, the flat region completely surrounds the curved-surface region, the flat region is configured to convert the first light into the condensed light, and the curved-surface region is configured to convert the first light into the diffused light.

Light source system

Disclosed is an illuminating device, including first and second light sources, first and second light receiving elements, a display module, and a projection module. The first and second light sources are for generating first and second light beam respectively. The first and second light receiving elements, located on the optical paths of the first and second light beams respectively, are for converging the first and second light beams respectively. The display module, located on the optical paths of the first and the second light beams, receives the first and second light beams and generates corresponding first and second image beams respectively. The projection module, located on the optical paths of the first and second image beams, projects the first and second image beams. A first etendue of the first light beam is greater than a second etendue of the second light beam.

Illuminating device having two light sources generating different etendues and respective light receivers and display device

A light combining structure including a first beam splitter, a first light source, a second light source and a second beam splitter is provided. The first light source is disposed on a first side of the first beam splitter to emit a first light and is provided with a first reflection surface. The second light source is disposed on a second side of the first beam splitter to emit a second light and is provided with a second reflection surface. The second beam splitter is disposed on a third side of the first beam splitter, wherein the first beam splitter allows the first light and the second light to partially reflect and partially penetrate, and the first reflection surface, the second reflection surface and the second beam splitter allow the first light and the second light to enter a fourth side of the first beam splitter after being reflected.

Light combining structure

A projector includes a lens, a beam processing module, a plurality of digital micromirror devices, a reflecting module and an illumination module. The beam processing module is disposed with respect to the lens. The digital micromirror devices are disposed around the beam processing module, wherein a beam projecting path is defined between the lens and the digital micromirror device. The reflecting module is disposed with respect to the digital micromirror devices and located beyond the beam projecting path. The illumination module is disposed with respect to the reflecting module. An initial beam projected by the illumination module is reflected to the digital micromirror devices by the reflecting module, such that the digital micromirror devices generate a plurality of image beams. The beam processing module combines the image beams to form a projecting beam and projects the projecting beam onto the lens along the beam projecting path.

Projector

A light source module includes a first light-splitting element, a second light-splitting element, a first light source, a second light source and a third light source. The first light source emits a first light having a first wavelength to the first light-splitting element in a first optical path direction. The second light source emits a second light having the first wavelength to the first light-splitting element in a second optical path direction perpendicular to the first optical path direction. The third light source emits a third light having a second wavelength to the first and second light-splitting elements in a third optical path direction opposite to the second optical path direction, and the second wavelength is different from the first wavelength. The first light source and the second light source include reflection layers configured to reflect light having the first wavelength.

Light source module

A light source module includes a first light-splitting element, a second light-splitting element, a first light source, a second light source and a third light source. The first light source is configured to emit first light having a first wavelength to the first light-splitting element in a first optical path direction. The second light source is configured to emit second light having the first wavelength to the second light-splitting element in a second optical path direction opposite to the second optical path direction. The third light source is configured to emit third light having a second wavelength in a third optical path direction substantially perpendicular to the first optical path direction. The first light source includes a first reflective layer, the second light source includes a second reflective layer, wherein the first reflective layer and the second reflective layer are configured to reflect light having the first wavelength.

A light source module including first and second light sources, first and second wavelength conversion units, first and second light-splitting units is provided. The first light source emits a first light having a first wavelength. The first wavelength conversion unit converts at least one portion of the first light into a first converted light having a second wavelength. The second light-splitting unit allows the light having the first wavelength to travel through and reflects the light having the second wavelength. The second light source emits a second light having the first wavelength. The second wavelength conversion unit converts at least one portion of the second light into a second converted light having the second wavelength. The first light-splitting unit disposed between the first and the second wavelength conversion units reflects the light having the first wavelength and allow the light having the second wavelength to travel through.

A light source module including first and second light sources, first and second wavelength conversion units, and first and second light splitting units is provided. The first light source emits a first light having a first wavelength. The first wavelength conversion unit converts at least one portion of the first light into a first converted light having a second wavelength. The second light splitting unit allows the lights having the second and third wavelengths to travel through and reflects the light having the first wavelength. The second light source emits a second light having the first wavelength. The second wavelength conversion unit converts at least one portion of the second light into a second converted light having the third wavelength. The first light splitting unit is disposed between the first and second wavelength conversion units and reflects the first wavelength and allows the second wavelength to travel through.

A projector includes a light source module, a collimator lens module, a wavelength conversion module, a first dichroic unit and a second dichroic unit. The light source module provides a first beam. The collimator lens module has a first part and a second part. The first beam passes the first part. The wavelength conversion module receives the first beam and includes a reflecting plate and a wavelength conversion layer. The first dichroic unit reflects the first beam. The reflecting plate reflects the first beam to generate a second beam passing the second part. The wavelength conversion layer is excited by the first beam to generate a third beam. The second dichroic unit allows passing of the third beam and a part of the second beam to generate a fourth beam, and reflects the other part of the second beam to generate a fifth beam.

Projector with preferred lighting uniformity

A light source module includes a light source, a dichroic unit, a color wheel and a wavelength conversion unit. The light source is configured to emit a light. The dichroic unit is opposite to the light source and configured to reflect a portion of the light as a first illumination light in a first direction and reflect a portion of the light as a second illumination light in a second direction inverse to the first direction. The color wheel is opposite to the dichroic unit and configured to at least receive the first illumination light. The color wheel has a blue filter area, a green filter area and a red filter area. The wavelength conversion unit is opposite to the color wheel and the dichroic unit and configured to at least receive the second illumination light and provide a converted light to the color wheel.

A projector includes a collimator lens, a, a light transmission component and a solid-state light source. Amounts of the dichroic lens and the solid-state light source are plural. The dichroic lens and the light transmission component reflect beams with specific wavelength, and allow passing of beams with other wavelength. The solid-state light source emits the beams to the corresponding dichroic lens. The projector utilizes the dichroic lens and the light transmission component to pass the beams with different base color uniformly through the first part and the second part of the collimator lens. The projector further includes a polarized lens, a reflection lens and a phase retardation unit. The phase retardation unit transforms polarization of the beams, and the polarized lens reflects some polarized beams and allows passing of other polarized beams to combine a plurality of alignment modules for providing uniform illumination.

A projector including a light source, a first prism, a second prism and a digital micro-mirror device (DMD) is provided. The light source emits light. The first prism includes a first surface, a second surface and a third surface which are connected to each other around the perimeter thereof, and the illumination light enters the first prism through the first surface. The second prism has a fourth surface and a fifth surface which are connected to each other, and the fourth surface faces the second surface of the first prism. The DMD faces the third surface. The illumination light sequentially passes through the first surface, is reflected by the second surface, passes through the third surface, and reaches the DMD. The DMD converts the illumination light into image light, and the image light sequentially passes through the third surface, the second surface, the fourth surface and the fifth surface. In the first prism, a first included angle between the first surface and the third surface is more than or equal to 105 degrees.

A projector includes a light source module, a wavelength conversion module, a first collimator lens, a second collimator lens, a dichroic filter and a reflector. The light source module provides a first beam. The wavelength conversion module includes a reflecting plate and a wavelength conversion layer. The dichroic filter reflects a first part of the first beam to form a second beam, and a second part of the first beam can pass or detour the dichroic filter to form a third beam. The second beam is condensed by the first collimator lens and projected onto the wavelength conversion layer to excite a fourth beam. The third beam is condensed by the second collimator lens and projected onto the reflecting plate to reflect a fifth beam. The fifth beam is reflected via the reflector and the dichroic filter to mix with the fourth beam.

A projector includes a light source, a collimator lens, a wavelength conversion module and a dichroic filter. The light source provides a first beam. The collimator lens has a first portion and a second portion. The wavelength conversion module includes a reflecting plate and a wavelength conversion layer. The wavelength conversion layer is an annular structure disposed on the reflecting plate. The dichroic filter corresponds to the first portion of the collimator lens. The dichroic filter reflects the first beam to project onto the reflecting plate and the wavelength conversion layer. A second beam reflected by the reflecting plate passes through the second portion of the collimator lens. A third beam excited by the wavelength conversion layer passes through the first portion and the second portion of the collimator lens and the dichroic filter.

The invention provides a projector with a biaxially-tilted (with a 17-degree tilting angle) digital micro mirror device (DMD) whose light source module and lens set deployment is improved so that the incident light provided by the light source module travels along a first light route and is enlarged by the lens set before traveling along a second light route and provided to the biaxially-tilted DMD. The projector features in that the first lens group is composed of two specific spherical lenses or one specific aspheric lens and the second lens group is composed of one aspheric lens. Therefore, the prismless, non-telecentric projector, without using any TIR prism, can be made with fewer components, lower cost, and enhanced efficiency.
