A driving apparatus and an operation method thereof are provided. The driving apparatus includes a first driving circuit and a second driving circuit. The first driving circuit suspends performing at least one of a display driving operation and a touch sensing operation during a skip period under a driving mode, and the first driving circuit performs the at least one of the display driving operation and the touch sensing operation outside the skip period under the driving mode. The second driving circuit is coupled to the first driving circuit. The second driving circuit performs a fingerprint sensing operation during the skip period.

Driving apparatus and operation method thereof

A display apparatus and an fingerprint sensing method thereof are provided. A display panel of the display apparatus has a pixel circuit array, an in-display touch sensor array, and an in-display fingerprint sensor array. A driving circuit drives the in-display fingerprint sensor array to read a fingerprint image. A current display frame period is divided into a plurality of unit periods, each of the unit periods includes at least one fingerprint sensing period and one or both of a display driving period and a touch sensing period. The driving circuit resets a current fingerprint sensor in the in-display fingerprint sensor array during a first fingerprint sensing period among these fingerprint sensing periods of the first display frame period. The driving circuit reads a sensing result of the current fingerprint sensor during a second fingerprint sensing period succeeding to the first fingerprint sensing period.

Display apparatus and fingerprint sensing method thereof

An electronic device, and a method for performing fingerprint sensing control on a display panel are provided. A sensing region of the display panel is divided into a plurality of fingerprint zones. The electronic device determines at least one target fingerprint zone from the fingerprint zones according to a touch location, wherein the fingerprint zones are coupled to a plurality of scanning groups, each of the scanning groups comprises one or more scanning lines, the at least one target fingerprint zone is coupled to a first scanning group and a second scanning group other than the first scanning group among the plurality of scanning groups. The electronic device scans the first scanning group with a first speed, and scans the second scanning group with a second speed higher than the first speed or skips scanning the second scanning group.

Electronic device and method for performing fingerprint sensing control

A column analog-to-digital converter and the local counting method is provided. The column analog-to-digital converter includes a plurality of analog-to-digital converters in parallel. Each of the analog-to-digital converters includes a comparator and a counting circuit. The comparator compares the ramp voltage with one of the plurality of column signals to generate a comparator output signal. The counting circuit generates a local clock by means of a voltage-controlled oscillator of the counting circuit according to the base clock and the comparator output signal, counts the base clock and the local clock respectively to generate a first counting output and a second counting output, and combines the first counting output with the second counting output to generate the counting output.

A control method for an optical fingerprint sensor and a touch controller is provided, for canceling or reducing capacitive loading. The optical fingerprint sensor includes a plurality of pixels, and each of the pixels has a first control signal line and a second control signal line. Each of the pixels is further coupled to a first voltage source line, a second voltage source line and a sensing line. The control method includes the step of configuring at least one of the first control signal line, the second control signal line, the first voltage source line, the second voltage source line and the sensing line to be floating when the touch controller is in a touch operation period.

Control method for optical fingerprint sensor and touch controller

An electronic device, a fingerprint sensing control method and a fingerprint scanning control method are provided. A sensing region of a display panel is divided into a plurality of fingerprint zones. The electronic device determines at least one target fingerprint zone from the fingerprint zones according to a touched area. The electronic device scans the at least one target fingerprint zone to control the at least one target fingerprint zone for performing fingerprint sensing. The electronic device performs an accelerated scanning operation. The accelerated scanning operation includes: setting a scanning speed corresponding to at least one target scanning group coupled to at least the touched area to a first speed; and setting a scanning speed corresponding to one or more scanning groups other than the at least one target scanning group to a second speed higher than the first speed.

Electronic device, fingerprint sensing control method and fingerprint scanning control method

A column analog-to-digital converter and the local counting method is provided. The column analog-to-digital converter includes a plurality of analog-to-digital converters in parallel. Each of the analog-to-digital converters includes a comparator and a counting circuit. The comparator compares the ramp voltage with one of the plurality of column signals to generate a comparator output signal. The counting circuit triggers a delay line circuit of the counting circuit to generate first delay data according to the comparator output signal, re-triggers the delay line circuit to generate first re-trigger delay data according to a base clock, and compares the first delay data with the first re-trigger delay data to generate a first counting output.

A driving apparatus and an operation method thereof are provided. The driving apparatus includes a first driving circuit and a second driving circuit. The first driving circuit performs a first driving mode on a panel. The first driving circuit performs the first driving mode during a first frame period among a plurality of frame periods and skips the first driving mode during a first skip period between the first frame period and a second frame period among the frame periods. The first driving circuit outputs timing control signal including a timing that the first driving mode is skipped. The second driving circuit is coupled to the first driving circuit to receive the timing control signal. The second driving circuit performs a fingerprint sensing operation different from the first driving mode on the panel according to the timing control signal during the first skip period.

An electronic device and a fingerprint sensing control method thereof are provided. The electronic device includes a touch control circuit and a fingerprint sensing control circuit. The touch control circuit is coupled to the display panel. The touch control circuit performs touch detection on the display panel to obtain a finger press area corresponding to the finger on the display panel. The fingerprint sensing control circuit is coupled to the touch control circuit to obtain a finger press area. The fingerprint sensing control circuit is coupled to the display panel to perform a fingerprint sensing control on a display panel. The fingerprint sensing control circuit scans the finger press area on the display panel in a first direction during a first period and scans the finger press area in a second direction different from the first direction during a second period after the first period.

A touching apparatus and a touching detecting method thereof are provided. The touching detecting method is adapted for a touch panel. The touch panel has a plurality of touching rows and a plurality of touching columns. The touching detecting method includes: performing a mutual-capacitor touching detection and a self-capacitor touching detection alternatingly to the touch panel for obtaining a mutual-capacitor detection result and a self-capacitor detection result, respectively; and obtaining position information of at least one touch point on the touch panel by an operation based on the mutual-capacitor detection result and the self-capacitor detection result.
