A depth map generation device includes a plurality of image capture pairs, a depth map generation module, and a processor. The depth map generation module is coupled to the plurality of image capture pairs for generating a plurality of depth maps corresponding to the plurality of image capture pairs according to the image pairs captured by the plurality of image capture pairs. The processor is coupled to the depth map generation module for optionally outputting a depth map of the plurality of depth maps, or outputting a blending depth map composed of a part or all of the plurality of depth maps.

A universal serial bus device includes at least two input interfaces, an input interface control unit, and an image input interface. Each input interface of the at least two input interfaces is coupled to an image sensor for receiving images generated by the image sensor and an identification bit corresponding to the image sensor. The input interface control unit is coupled to the at least two input interfaces for controlling the at least two input interfaces to receive images generated by the at least two image sensors and identification bits corresponding to the at least two image sensors in turn when the images generated by the at least two image sensors are used for synthesizing three-dimensional images. The image input interface is used for receiving and transmitting the images generated by the at least two image sensors and the identification bits corresponding to the at least two image sensors.

Universal serial bus device applied to webcams and method thereof

An image capturing method includes providing at least three image capturing devices arranged along a same direction and an image processor, the at least three image capturing devices capturing at least three first images, determining a target object in the at least three first images, activating a first pair of image capturing devices of the at least three image capturing devices according to shooting angles of the target object in the at least three first images in order to capture a first pair of motion images, and the image processor performing image recognition to the target object of the first pair of motion images.

A webcam capable of generating special sound effects includes an image device, a sound device, a multiplexer, a microprocessor, and a universal serial bus device. The image device is used for capturing and processing an image to generate a processed image. The sound device is used for capturing and processing sound to generate processed sound. The multiplexer is coupled to the image device and the sound device for receiving the processed image and the processed sound. The microprocessor is used for controlling the image device and the sound device. The universal serial bus device is used for controlling the multiplexer to read the processed image from the image device and read the processed sound from the sound device according to a command of a host, and transmitting the processed image and the processed sound to the host.

Webcam capable of generating special sound effects and method of generating special sound effects thereof

A serial interface engine generates a series of digital data according to a pair of differential signals received from a high-speed Universal Serial Bus host and/or a full-speed universal serial bus host. Then, a packet identification (PID) unit identifies a packet identification of a start of each frame and a first period between two consecutive packet identifications according to the series of digital data. A count comparator is used for generating a calibration signal to calibrate an output frequency of an oscillator according to the first period.
