A mobile communication device including a ground plane, a radiation element and a resonant circuit is provided. The radiation element is electrically connected to the ground plane. The resonant circuit is electrically connected to the radiation element and receives a feeding signal. The resonant circuit and the radiation element resonate at a resonant frequency and excite the ground plane to generate a resonant mode.

Mobile communication device

A handheld device including a ground plane, a first antenna element and a second antenna element is provided. The ground plane includes a short edge and a first long edge adjacent to each other to form a first corner. The first antenna element is opposite to the short edge of the ground plane. The second antenna element is opposite to the first long edge of the ground plane and includes a first radiation portion. An end of the first radiation portion is electrically connected to the first long edge and adjacent to the first corner. The handheld device uses the second antenna element to adjust an equivalent ground plane length of the first antenna element.

Handheld device

An open slot antenna is formed in a planar conductor on a dielectric substrate. A tuning circuit is disposed toward an open end of the slot antenna and is used to select a resonant frequency of the antenna by electrically connecting one of multiple tuning elements across opposing sides of the slot. The tunable antenna so constructed may be incorporated into a handheld mobile communication device that can be operated in different geographic regions, each having different regional communication standards under which mobile communications are conducted.

Tunable slot antenna

A mobile device includes a system circuit board, a ground element, a communication module, a first antenna, a second antenna, a first ASM (Antenna Switch Module), and a second ASM. The first antenna is configured to receive or transmit a first signal in a first frequency band. The second antenna is configured to receive or transmit a second signal in a second frequency band. The second frequency band is different from the first frequency band. The first ASM is coupled between the first antenna and the communication module, and is configured to separate frequencies of the first signal. The second ASM is coupled between the second antenna and the communication module, and is configured to separate frequencies of the second signal.

Mobile device with two antennas and antenna switch modules

A wearable device for wireless communication includes a device body, a wearable belt, a ground element, a feeding element, and a radiation element. The device body substantially has a central hollow structure. The ground element and the feeding element are both disposed in the device body. The feeding element is coupled to a signal source. The radiation element is disposed on a surface of the wearable belt or in the wearable belt, and is disposed adjacent to the feeding element. A coupled-fed antenna structure is formed by the feeding element and the radiation element.

Wearable device for wireless communication

A mobile communication device includes a substrate, a metal frame, a feeding portion, and a parasitic portion. The substrate includes a ground plane and a non-ground area. The metal frame surrounds the substrate and includes a plurality of gaps to form a first frame element and a second frame element separated from each other. The first frame element is electrically connected to the ground plane. The feeding portion and the parasitic portion are located in the non-ground area. A first end of the feeding portion is configured to receive a feeding signal, and a second end of the feeding portion is an open end. The parasitic portion is electrically connected to the second frame element and the ground plane. The feeding portion, the second frame element, and the parasitic portion of the mobile communication device constitute a loop antenna.

A mobile communication device is provided. The mobile communication device includes a system circuit board with a surface, a ground plane having a monopole slot on the surface, a microstrip feedline, and a metal element, wherein the ground plane has a longer edge and a shorter edge. The monopole slot has a first operating band and a second operating band. The microstrip feedline is located on the system circuit board, wherein one end of the microstrip feedline passes over the monopole slot, and the other end of the microstrip feedline is connected to a signal source. The metal element is electrically connected to the shorter edge of the ground plane, and is substantially perpendicular to the ground plane. A distance between the open end of the monopole slot and the shorter edge of the ground plane where the metal element is connected is shorter than 0.05 wavelength of the lowest operating frequency of the first operating band.

Mobile communication device and antenna

A mobile communication device includes an antenna structure. The antenna structure includes a circuit board. A ground plane is disposed on the second surface of the circuit board and includes a first side edge and a second side edge. An antenna element is disposed on the first surface of the circuit board or placed near the circuit board, and includes a first operating band and a second operating band. A first inductively-coupled element is located near the first side edge of the ground plane, and includes a metal plate and an inductive element. The metal plate is electrically connected to the ground plane through the inductive element. The first inductively-coupled element generates a resonant mode at a specific frequency within the second operating band to reduce a surface current excitation on the ground plane and to reduce near-field E-field and H-field strengths of the mobile communication device within the second operating band.

Mobile communication device with low near-field radiation and related antenna structure

A dual-band mobile communication device includes a circuit board, a ground plane, an antenna element, and a dual-band inductively-coupled element. The ground plane has an edge. The antenna element is located on the circuit board or adjacent to the circuit board. The antenna element has a first operating band and a second operating band. The dual-band inductively-coupled element is located at the edge of the ground plane. The dual-band inductively-coupled element excites two different resonant modes at two specific frequencies corresponding to the first and the second operating bands of the antenna element, respectively. The dual-band inductively-coupled element comprises a connection element, an inductive element, a first metal plate, and a second metal plate. The first metal plate is electrically connected to the ground plane through the connection element. The second metal plate is electrically connected to the inductive element.
