An electrical connector assembly includes an upper connector unit and a lower connector unit in a vertical direction. Each connector unit includes a contact module received within an insulative housing. The contact module includes an upper contact unit and a lower contacts unit stacked with each other. Each of the upper contact unit and the lower contact unit includes a front/outer contact part and a rear/inner contact part each including a plurality contacts essentially composed of a plurality of differential-pair signal contacts and a plurality of grounding contacts alternately arranged with each other in a the transverse direction wherein the differential-pair signal contacts are stamped and formed from sheet metal and successively integrally formed with a plurality of insulative transverse bars via insert-molding while the grounding contacts are directly blanked from sheet metal and associated with corresponding shielding plates assembled to the insulative transverse bar.

A receptacle connector includes an insulative housing defining a base and a mating tongue extending from the base with a widen and thicken step structure formed around a root of the mating tongue near to the base, two rows of plate contacts disposed in the insulative housing with contacting sections exposed upon the mating tongue and in front of the step structure and categorized with signal contacts, power contacts and grounding contacts, and a metallic shielding plate disposed within a middle level of the mating tongue and occupying most portions of said mating tongue. An electrical connector includes an insulative housing defining a forwardly extending mating tongue, a plurality of contacts with contacting sections exposed upon the mating tongue and a metallic shield enclosing the insulative housing to define a mating cavity. A metallic shielding plate is embedded within the mating tongue and forms a pair of locking notches in two opposite lateral sides. The mating tongue further includes in two opposite lateral sides a pair of recesses aligned with and intimately located inside of the pair of locking notches, respectively, in the transverse direction. An electrical connector includes an insulative housing having a longitudinal slot and at least one row of contacts retained in the housing. Each of the contacts defines a retention portion, a resilient contacting arm extending from the retention portion with a contacting portion protruding into the longitudinal slot, and a soldering tail extending out of the housing. The contacts include at least two differential pairs adjacent to each other and at least one grounding contact sandwiched therebetween in the longitudinal direction. The contacting portions of each differential pairs are closer to the mating face than the contacting portion of the grounding contact in the mating direction, which can improve resonance of the electrical connector during transferring high-speed signals.

Methods and systems are described for detecting a video field parity pattern in a video signal comprising a plurality of interlaced video fields, wherein each video field includes a plurality of pixels located in a plurality of positions in a plurality of scan lines. One method includes receiving pixel data of a plurality of current pixels in a current video field, and pixel data of a plurality of first pixels in a first previous video field, where the first previous video field immediately precedes the current video field and together form an image frame. The method continues by determining, for each of the plurality of current pixels in the current video field, a first and a second set of absolute differences between a current pixel in a current position in a current scan line and at least one first pixel in the current position in at least one vertically adjacent scan line relative to the current scan line, where the first and the second set of absolute differences is based on a first field parity pattern and a second field parity pattern, respectively. A first accumulated value based on a sum total of each of the first set of absolute differences and a second accumulated value based on a sum total of each of the second set of absolute differences are determined, and a correct field parity pattern of the current video field is determined based on the first accumulated value and the second accumulated value.

Method and system for detecting video field parity pattern of an interlaced video signal

A method for automatically detecting and suppressing cross-color and cross-luma present in a baseband component video signal includes receiving component pixel data of a current pixel, a first previous pixel and a second previous pixel. First, second and third differences are calculated based on the component pixel data of the current, first previous and second previous pixels, and the presence of cross-luma and/or cross-color is determined for the current pixel based on an absolute value of at least one of the first, the second and the third differences. A per pixel count associated with the component pixel data of the current pixel is determined based on the determined presence of at least one of cross-luma and cross-color, and the component pixel data of the current pixel is modified based on the per pixel count. The modified component pixel data of the current pixel is outputted as a corrected output color video signal, where the corrected output color video signal is substantially without visual artifacts caused by the at least one of cross-luma and cross-color.

Method and system for automatic detection and suppression of cross-luma and cross-color in a component video signal

An image scaling system includes a single set of line buffers that receive and store input image pixel data in an input video frame. The scaling system also includes a linear two-dimensional sharpness enhancement unit configured to receive input pixel data from the line buffers and to generate sharpened pixel data by enhancing high frequency components of the input pixel data at an input image resolution, a linear two-dimensional image scaling unit configured to receive the sharpened pixel data and to convert the sharpened pixel data into scaled sharpened pixel data at an output image resolution, and a transient improvement unit configured to receive the input pixel data from the line buffers, sharpened pixel data and scaled sharpened pixel data to improve transient responses at edges in an output image, and to generate output image pixel data at the output image resolution.
