A method for fabricating a polymer stabilized alignment liquid crystal display panel including: filling a liquid crystal layer between a first substrate and a second substrate, the liquid crystal layer including liquid crystal molecules, monomer with single functional group and monomer with multiple functional groups; polymerizing the monomer with single functional groups to form two alignment layers over inner surfaces of the first substrate and the second substrate; and polymerizing the monomer with multiple functional groups to form a polymer capable of pre-tilting the liquid crystal molecules.

Method for fabricating polymer stabilized alignment liquid crystal display panel

A liquid crystal display panel including a first substrate, a second substrate, a liquid crystal layer, and a polymer stabilized alignment layer is provided. The second substrate is disposed opposite to the first substrate. The liquid crystal layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The polymer stabilized alignment layer is disposed between the first substrate and the liquid crystal layer, and an average surface roughness of the polymer stabilized alignment layer is greater than or equal to 10 nm.

Liquid crystal display panel and fabricating method thereof

A liquid crystal display structure is provided. The liquid crystal display structure includes a liquid crystal panel and a backlight module. The liquid crystal panel has a liquid crystal layer including photo-polymerizable monomers. The backlight module has a light emitting unit for emitting an output light. A difference between the smallest value of the spectrum interval of the output light and the largest value of the absorption spectrum interval of the photo-polymerizable monomer in the liquid crystal layer is larger than or equal to 40 nm.

Liquid crystal display structure

A color filter having a bi-layer metal grating is formed by nanoimprint lithography. Nanoimprint lithography, a low cost technology, includes two alternatives, i.e., hot-embossing nanoimprint lithography and UV-curable nanoimprint lithography. Manufacture steps includes providing a substrate with a polymer material layer disposed thereon. A plurality of lands and grooves are formed in the polymer material layer, and a first metal layer and a second metal layer are disposed on the surfaces of the lands and grooves, respectively. Finally, a color filter having a bi-layer metal grating is obtained.

Color filter and method of fabricating the same

A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display panel is provided. The method includes: providing a first substrate and a second substrate; providing a plurality of liquid crystal drops on the first substrate, wherein two adjacent liquid crystal drops in X direction is kept by a distance dmm, and two adjacent liquid crystal drops in Y direction is kept by a distance dmm, each liquid crystal drop is G mg, d16.7, d15.4, and G 1; connecting the first substrate and the second substrate so that the liquid crystal drops are sealed between the first substrate and the second substrate; and polymerizing the polymeric components of the liquid crystal drops while applying a predetermined voltage to the liquid crystal drops.

Method for manufacturing liquid crystal display panel

A method for manufacturing LCD includes providing a bottom substrate, applying a sealant on its top surface, providing a liquid crystal mixture including a vertical alignment liquid crystal material and at least one reactive monomer which are surrounded by the sealant, providing a top substrate so that its bottom surface covers the sealant and the bottom substrate, performing a pre-curing process to pre-cure the sealant under a first temperature, and performing an active curing process under a second temperature, wherein the second temperature is higher than the first temperature.

Method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display using a polymer stability alignment process with a sealant pre-curing process

A method for making an optical device comprises steps of: 1) Providing a substrate, a polymerizable liquid crystal material having a plurality of liquid crystal molecules, and a mold having rows of trenches; 2) Imprinting the polymerizable liquid crystal material on said substrate by the mold; 3) Proceeding a cross-linking process to cure the liquid crystal material so as to have long axes of the liquid crystal molecules be aligned along the rows of trenches. The optical device made from the present method conforms to an A-plate type retardation plate. Moreover, the optical device is capable of aligning liquid crystal molecules adjacent to it.

Optical device and method for making the same

A wire grid polarizer with double metal layers for the visible spectrum. Parallel dielectric layers having a period (p) of 10&#x2dc;250 nm and a trench between adjacent dielectric layers overlie a transparent substrate. A first metal layer having a first thickness (d) of 30&#x2dc;150 nm is disposed in the trench. A second metal layer having a second thickness (d) of 30&#x2dc;150 nm and a width (w) overlies on the top surface of each dielectric layer. The first and second metal layers are separated by a vertical distance (l) of 10&#x2dc;100 nm. The first thickness (d) is the same as the second thickness (d). A ratio of the width (w) to the period (p) is 25&#x2dc;75%.
