A wireless communications system is provided with a first wireless communications module, a second wireless communications module, and an RF module. The first wireless communications module transmits or receives a first wireless signal, and the second wireless communications module transmits or receives a second wireless signal. The RF module allocates a first transceiving path and a second transceiving path to the first wireless communications module and the second wireless communications module, respectively, to enable the transmission or reception of the first wireless signal and the second wireless signal at the same time.

A wireless communications includes a first wireless communications and a second wireless communications. The first wireless communications module transmits or receives a first wireless signal in a first frequency band selected from a first frequency range. A wireless communications system is provided with a first wireless communications and a second wireless communications. The first wireless communications module transmits or receives a first wireless signal in a first frequency band selected from a first frequency range. The second wireless communications module transmits or receives a second wireless signal in a second frequency band selected from a second frequency range, and adjusts a transmission power of the second wireless signal in response to that a frequency offset between the first frequency band and the second frequency band falls within a predetermined range.

An embodiment of a system for the coexistence of a wireless local area network (WLAN) and another type of wireless transmission is provided. A WLAN module in a power saving mode is configured to transmit a polling request (PS-Poll) at a supported rate higher than any basic rate in order to obtain buffered data from an access point (AP) when the coexisting wireless transmission module is operating. The supported rate is encoded in a supported rate set announced by the AP, and the basic rate is encoded in a basic rate set announced by the AP, and the PS-Poll is a polling request relating to a power saving mode of operation.

An embodiment of a system for the coexistence of a wireless local area network (WLAN) in power saving mode, and another type of wireless transmission is provided. A wireless transmission module is configured to transmit or receive data in two slots separated by an available window. A WLAN module is configured to obtain information regarding the available window and transmits a polling request (PS-Poll) at a supported rate higher than any basic rate in the available window in order to obtain buffered data from an access point (AP). The supported rate is encoded in a supported rate set while the basic rate is encoded in a basic rate set announced by the AP.

Systems for wireless local area network (WLAN) transmission and for coexistence of WLAN and another type of wireless transmission and methods thereof

A method and apparatus for traffic arbitration in a system are provided. In the system, a first module operating in a first protocol and a second module operating in a second protocol share one communication channel. An arbitration circuit schedules medium accesses thereof, in which a quota table maintains a utilization value updated in accordance with the amount of time slots consumed by a particular traffic type, and a time counter periodically resets the utilization value to a default value. When the arbitration circuit receives a request for medium access of the particular traffic type, the arbitration circuit grants the request according to the utilization value, such that the first module or the second module are not activated at the same time.

Method and apparatus for arbitration in a wireless device

An apparatus and method for relaying messages via a wireless medium within a network environment having an access point that provides access to a destination station. The apparatus of the invention includes a means for modifying an ARP query packet by substituting a built-in MAC address for a sender address in an ARP datagram of the ARP query packet and a source address in a MAC header of the ARP query packet and further changing a BSSID in the MAC header of the ARP query packet from the built-in MAC address to a MAC address of the access point. Moreover, the apparatus of the invention includes another means for modifying an ARP reply packet issued from the destination station by changing a BSSID in a MAC header of the ARP reply packet from the MAC address of the access point to the built-in MAC address.
