A method of wireless communication performed by a first wireless communication device may maintain a channel occupancy time (COT) in a shared frequency band during at least one physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) instance. In some aspects, the method includes transmitting, in a first portion of a COT based on a listen-before talk (LBT), a first sidelink (SL) communication comprising SL communication information (SCI), the SCI indicating a second wireless communication device to transmit a signal in at least one gap symbol preceding a PSFCH resource. The method further includes receiving, from the second wireless communication device, the signal during the at least one gap symbol. The method further includes transmitting, in a second portion of the COT based on the LBT, a second SL communication, wherein the second portion of the COT is subsequent to the PSFCH resource.

Channel occupancy time (COT) maintenance for sidelink communications in unlicensed bands

Wireless communications systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided. A method of wireless communication performed by a first sidelink user equipment (UE) may include transmitting, to a second sidelink UE, a configuration indicating at least one of a length associated with a sidelink synchronization signal block (S-SSB) burst, a quasi-colocation (QCL) index associated with the S-SSB burst, or a first QCL order associated with the S-SSB burst and transmitting, to the second sidelink UE, the S-SSB burst based on the at least one of the length associated with the S-SSB burst, the QCL index associated with the S-SSB burst, or the first QCL order associated with the S-SSB burst.

Dynamic synchronization signal blocks for sidelink communication

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, while operating in a discontinuous reception mode, a grant scheduling a sidelink data message for the UE over a shared radio frequency spectrum band, the grant indicating a set of feedback channel occasions associated with the sidelink data message. The UE may transmit at least one feedback message indicating a feedback status of the sidelink data message during at least one feedback channel occasion of the set of feedback channel occasions. The UE may initiate, based at least in part on the at least one feedback channel occasion, a round-trip timer associated with the at least one feedback message during which the UE suppresses monitoring for a retransmission of the sidelink data message.

Discontinuous reception enhancement with multiple sidelink feedback channel opportunities

A first user equipment (UE) may receive an inter-UE coordination request message from a second UE, the inter-UE coordination request message identifying a request for resource scheduling information for the first UE, the second UE, or both. The first UE may transmit an inter-UE coordination response message comprising the scheduling information to the second UE, the scheduling information comprising an indication of one or more of a resource block set and interlacing pattern frequency configuration for multi-slot burst communications between the first UE and the second UE or a starting slot and slot burst length configuration for the multi-slot burst communications between the first UE and the second UE.

In an example, a first user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a first sidelink grant for a transmission between the first UE and a second UE; communicate the transmission according to the first sidelink grant to the second UE; determine initiation of a sidelink round trip timer subsequent to communicating the transmission to the second UE; and initiate an inactive mode for the first UE based on a second grant not being received from the network entity before completion of a duration of a sidelink retransmission timer that was initiated upon completion of a duration of the sidelink round trip timer, the first UE being configured out of an ON duration of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle, and an inactivity timer expiring before completion of the duration of the sidelink retransmission timer.

Scheduling operation with mode-1 scheduling in sidelink and sidelink unlicensed operations

This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for partitioning a physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) into multiple shortened PSSCHs (sPSSCHs) within a slot and selecting a transmit power for each sPSSCH. In one aspect, a transmitting user equipment (UE) may select the transmit power for each sPSSCH in accordance with an open loop power control operation. In some examples, the transmitting UE may select a common transmit power for each sPSSCH. Alternatively, the transmitting UE may perform independent power control operations for each sPSSCH and may cap variation in transmit power across sPSSCHs as a result of employing lower and upper bound transmit powers. Additionally, or alternatively, the transmitting UE may provide a default beta offset for the set of receiving UEs via sidelink control information (SCI) part one (SCI-1) and may provide beta offset updates via each SCI part two (SCI-2) transmission in the multiple sPSSCHs.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some wireless communications systems may support a slot transmission detection procedure for sidelink communications. A sidelink user equipment may monitor, during a slot and within one or more subbands, for signaling associated with a first sidelink transmission that corresponds to resources that span a duration of the slot. The signaling may include sidelink control information, a demodulation reference signal, or other sidelink signaling associated with the first sidelink transmission. The user equipment may determine a signal strength or one or more other parameters associated with the signaling. The user equipment may determine whether to transmit a second sidelink transmission having a duration that is less than a first duration of the first sidelink transmission based on the signal strength, the one or more parameters, or both associated with the signaling.

Full-slot transmission detection for sidelink communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first user equipment (UE) may determine that that the first UE is scheduled to transmit a control signal and a synchronization signal associated with a synchronization signal block. The first UE may transmit, to a second UE during a first set of symbols within a time period, the control signal associated with a sidelink communication. In some examples, the first UE may transmit, to the second UE during a symbol subsequent to the first set of symbols, the synchronization signal associated with the synchronization signal block, and may communicate with the second UE according to the transmitted control signal and the transmitted synchronization signal.

In some aspects, a first user equipment (UE) may determine, within a channel occupancy time shared with a second UE, one or more contention slot starting times based at least in part on a listen before talk duration and an automatic gain control duration. The base station transmits a packet to the UE in an opportunity of an SPS occasion based on an arrival time of the packet. In various configurations, a base station may transmit first information via a first communication opportunity and second information via a second communication opportunity of that same SPS occasion. A wireless communication device may monitor all communication opportunities of an SPS occasion to decode the information sent in two or more of the communication opportunities of the SPS occasion.

A sidelink resource pool may be shared between one or more sidelink mode 1 UEs and one or more sidelink mode 2 UEs. A base station may grant one or more sidelink resources to a mode 1 transmitting UE for transmitting data to a mode 1 receiving UE, and may include an indication that at least one of the one or more sidelink resources granted is a soft granted sidelink resource that may be accessed by the mode 1 transmitting UE only after passing re-evaluation. The mode 1 transmitting UE may perform re-evaluation and may transmit over the at least one sidelink resource only if the at least one sidelink resource passes the re-evaluation.
