The control circuit for controlling a display panel is provided. The control circuit includes a first driving circuit and a second driving circuit for driving the display panel. The first driving circuit includes first output terminals and first input terminals. The first driving circuit outputs a plurality of test signals to the first output terminals sequentially during different periods in a diagnosis stage. The second driving circuit includes second input terminals and second output terminals. The second driving circuit receives the test signals through the second input terminals in the diagnosis stage, and outputs a plurality of response signals to the second output terminals sequentially during different periods in response to the test signals. The first driving circuit receives the response signals through the first input terminals, and judges a connecting status of the first driving circuit and the second driving circuit according to the response signals.

Control circuit for controlling display panel

A display system includes a sub-pixel rendering unit, a detection unit, a compensation unit, and a data re-arrangement unit. The sub-pixel rendering unit is configured to generate first pixel values for pixels according to a video signal. The detection unit is configured to detect whether at least one of predetermined conditions is present in a content of the video signal, so as to generate a control code. The compensation unit is configured to generate a second pixel values for the pixels according to the video signal and the control code. The data re-arrangement unit is configured to selectively output at least one of the first pixel values and the second pixel values to the pixels according to the control code.

Display system and method for driving pixels of the display system

A display system that includes a display panel and a display device is provided. The display panel has display pixels each of the display pixels including two sub display pixels. The driving device includes a mode detection unit, a 1-D sub-pixel rendering unit and a 2-D sub-pixel rendering unit. The mode detection unit determines whether a predetermined condition of the first frame is met. The 1-D sub-pixel rendering unit generates first display pixel values when the predetermined condition is not met. The 2-D sub-pixel rendering unit generates second display pixel values when the predetermined condition is met. Either the first display pixel values or the second display pixel values are generated to be outputted to the display panel and are displayed by the display pixels.

Display system and driving method

A method for driving a display device is disclosed. Each pixel of the display device includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The method includes: driving the first sub-pixel of a first pixel disposed in a first column and in a first row to display a first color; driving the second sub-pixel of the first pixel to display a second color; driving the first sub-pixel of a second pixel disposed in the first column and in a second row or a third row to display a third color; driving the second sub-pixel of the second pixel to display the first color; and determining a pixel value of the first sub-pixel of the first pixel according to a predetermined region, the pixels adjacent to the first pixel, and a video signal.

A method for processing an input composite signal includes tracking a signal component of the input composite signal according to a frequency of a pilot signal to generate a locked signal, detecting an amplitude of the signal component to generate a detecting result, and generating a reproduced pilot signal according to the detecting result and the locked signal. A frequency and a phase of the locked signal are substantially identical to the frequency and a phase of the pilot signal.

Method for processing an input composite signal and signal processing apparatus thereof

A system and method of correcting baseline wander (BLW) are disclosed. An analog-to-digital converter (ADC) converts an analog input to a digital output, and a slicer maps the digital output to one of a plurality of predefined values. A BLW correction unit generates a BLW correction value according to a difference between an input and an output of the slicer. A correction controller generates a fine correction value and a coarse correction value according to the BLW correction value. Specifically, the fine correction value is used to correct the digital output of the ADC, and the coarse correction value is used to correct the analog input of the ADC.

System and a method of correcting baseline wander

A Radio Data System (RDS) decoder circuit determines a subcarrier frequency utilizing only a 57 kHz RDS signal of an FM broadcast signal. The RDS decoder includes a zero-intermediate frequency (zero-IF) FM demodulator, a first mixer, a low-pass filter (LPF) unit, a shaping filter unit, a carrier recovery circuit, a digitally controlled oscillator (DCO), a symbol timing recovery circuit, an integrate and dump circuit, a slicer, and a differential decoder. The carrier recovery circuit includes a phase error detector and a digital loop filter (DLF). The symbol timing recovery circuit includes a zero-crossing detector, a phase detector and loop filter unit, and a counter.
