A satellite navigation method and system are provided. The system includes a global position system module, an input unit, a picture database, a geographical information system module, an integrating unit, and a display unit. The method includes the following steps. Firstly, a navigation area is determined through the input unit, so as to search out several picture batches in the navigation area from the picture database. Next, a map relating to the navigation area is provided by the GIS module. Then, the picture batches and the map are integrated by the integrating unit to produce an integrated map shown on a first frame of the display unit. Afterwards, several pictures of the picture batch chosen from the first frame displayed on a second frame and satellite navigation information of the picture chosen from the second frame are displayed on a third frame by the display unit.

Satellite navigation method and system

A method and system for using an image sensor to control applications on a mobile device is disclosed. The system uses image processing to detect control gestures by the user. Control gestures may include, for example, moving a hand laterally, moving the hand closer or farther away from the camera, or opening and closing a hand. These control motions are linked to user commands to be executed by the application being controlled. The system initializes by storing a background image showing the field of view of the image sensor before any objects are present. It then detects new objects in the field of view by comparing new images to the background image. If a new object is detected, the system waits until the object is stationary in the field of view. After the object is stationary, the system detects if there is a change in the object indicating a control gesture. After detecting a change in the stationary object, the system determines a set of parameters defining the change and matches the parameters to a user command. The parameters may include the object's change in position or size or change in hand state (e.g. open or closed). The system then passes the command to an application to be executed.

Method and apparatus for controlling a mobile device using a camera

A method for establishing a communication between a first peer device and a second peer device is provided. The method includes detecting the second peer device by the first peer device. The method also includes checking, by the first peer device, whether there is a deposited second address of the second peer device in an address database of the first peer device. The method further includes setting a role for the first peer device by the first peer device according to a first address and a second address when there is the deposited second address of the second peer device in the address database of the first peer device. The method further includes establishing a connection between the first peer device and the second peer device based on the role set for the first peer device.

The invention discloses a touch sensing method and a portable electronic apparatus. The portable electronic apparatus includes a capacitive touch sensor unit, an acoustic touch sensor unit and a processing unit. The capacitive touch sensor unit and the acoustic touch sensor unit are used for monitoring a touch input interface. When both of the capacitive touch sensor unit and the acoustic touch sensor unit sense a touch input on the touch input interface at the same time and in response generate a first sensed coordinate and a second sensed coordinate respectively, the processing unit selects or executes an application function on the touch input interface according to the first sensed coordinate.

The casing has an opening, and the touch display is disposed inside the opening for receiving an operation of an input tool. The processor is electrically coupled to the touch display, and the user interface displayed by the touch display is determined by the processor. As a result, the convenience of operating the electronic device is increased.

Then the processor determines the type of the input tool which generates the input signal. Finally, a user interface corresponding to the tool type is switched and displayed. In addition, the electronic device may open or close specific functions automatically according to the tool type. As a result, the efficiency of switching user interfaces is improved, and furthermore the convenience of operating the electronic device is increased.

The motion determination apparatus includes a motion sensor for sensing motion of an electronic device and sending out a motion parameter. A processor receives the motion parameter to determine whether or not his motion is a meaningful motion. A device controller activates a device function according to the determination.
