A battery module including a connection terminal, a first battery, a second battery and a current limiting circuit is provided. The connection terminal serves as a power input terminal of the battery module during the charging of the battery module, and serves as a power output terminal of the battery module during the discharging of the battery module. The first battery is coupled to the connection terminal, and serves as a primary power source of a mobile device. The second battery serves as an auxiliary power source of the mobile device. The current limiting circuit is coupled between the second battery and the connection terminal, and restricts the magnitudes of the currents flowing into and out of the second battery according to a charging current threshold and a discharging current threshold.

Battery module

A mobile electronic system including a mobile electronic device and a charging accessory is provided. The mobile electronic device includes a first connector and a battery. The charging accessory includes a second connector. The first connector and the second connector are configured to couple the mobile electronic device and the charging accessory. When the charging accessory is coupled to an alternating-current voltage and the mobile electronic device, the charging accessory converts the alternating-current voltage into a direct-current voltage, detects an instantaneous voltage of the battery, determines the value of the direct-current voltage according to the instantaneous voltage, and outputs the direct-current voltage to charge the battery.

Mobile electronic system and charging accessory

A battery module for a portable electronic device is disclosed. The battery module is connected with the portable electronic device with at least three contacts. The battery module includes a battery, a recognition circuit, and a thermal sensing circuit. The recognition circuit has an energy storage element and a current limiting element, and the thermal sensing circuit has a switch and a thermal sensing element. The thermal sensing element varies its electric parameter in accordance with the temperature of the battery module. With the charging curve of charging the energy storage element by way of the current limiting element, the portable electronic device can determine a battery type, and the thermal sensing circuit is then initiated to acquire the thermal information of the battery module.

Battery module and method for determining battery ID and temperature

A method and a system for estimating a battery percentage are provided. The method includes the following steps. A coulomb counter calculated battery index (CCBI) relating to an accumulated amount of current flowing out of a battery is obtained. A battery voltage curve tracer calculated battery index (VCBI) relating to a temperature, an output voltage of the battery, and a current flowing out of the battery is obtained. A modified calculated battery index (MCBI) ranging between the CCBI and the VCBI is generated according to the CCBI and the VCBI.

Method and system for estimating battery percentage

A cradle for connecting to a portable electronic apparatus is described. The cradle includes an AC adapter connector, a USB connector, a mini USB plug, and a USB signal detecting circuit. The USB connector is used to connect to a USB interface of a computer. The mini USB plug is used to connect to the portable electronic apparatus. The USB signal detecting circuit detects the USB_D+ and the USB_D&#x2212; of the USB connector. When the computer is suspended from an operating state, the portable electronic apparatus is charged by the AC adapter through the mini USB plug. When the computer resumes normal operation, the USB connection between the portable electronic apparatus and the computer is automatically reestablished.
