A touch display device including a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium layer, a plurality of pixel electrodes, a plurality of driving electrodes, a plurality of touch sensing electrodes, and a plurality of force-sensing electrodes is provided. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. The display medium layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The pixel electrodes are disposed on the first substrate. The driving electrodes are disposed on the first substrate and overlap over the pixel electrodes. The touch sensing electrodes are disposed on one of the first substrate and the second substrate. The force-sensing electrodes are disposed on the second substrate, wherein an arrangement direction of the force-sensing electrodes is parallel to an arrangement direction of the touch sensing electrodes. A driving method of the touch display device is also provided.

Touch display device and driving method thereof

A touch display device including a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium layer, a pixel electrode layer, a touch electrode structure, and a force-sensing layer is provided. The second substrate is opposite to the first substrate. The display medium layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The pixel electrode layer is disposed between the display medium layer and the first substrate. The touch electrode structure is disposed on the second substrate and includes a driving electrode layer and a touch-sensing layer. The force-sensing layer is disposed on the first substrate, and a variable gap exists between the force-sensing layer and the driving electrode layer. A driving method of the touch display device is also provided.

A pressure detection method for an in-cell touch display and a mobile device using the same are provided. The pressure detection method comprises the steps of: providing a common voltage plane corresponding to touch sensing electrodes in the in-cell touch display; detecting capacitance values of the touch sensing electrodes; setting a first area and a second area according to a center of a touched portion when the in-cell touch display is determined as being touched, wherein the second area includes the first area; and excluding the capacitance values of the touch sensing electrodes in the first area, and using the capacitance values of the touch sensing electrodes in the second area to serve as a pressure detection value to determine a pressure exerted on the in-cell touch display.

Pressure detection method for in-cell touch display and mobile device using the same

A touch display device including a first substrate, a second substrate, a display medium layer, a pixel array structure and a pressure sensing electrode layer is provided. The display medium layer is disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The pixel array structure is disposed between the second substrate and the display medium layer and includes a plurality of pixel electrodes and a multi-function electrode layer overlapping the pixel electrodes. The pressure sensing electrode layer is parallel to the multi-function electrode layer and a changeable gap is formed between the pressure sensing electrode layer and the multi-function electrode layer. The touch display device capable of 3D touch is provided.

A method for determining touch point coordinates on capacitive type touch panel includes following steps. A touch panel having a conductive layer, a plurality of first electrodes, and a plurality of second electrodes is provided. A first signal curve Ais obtained by driving and sensing each first electrode. A second signal curve Ais obtained by driving and sensing each second electrode. A third signal curve Bis obtained by driving and sensing each first electrode, wherein the second electrode opposite to the sensed first electrode is grounded. A fourth signal curve Bis gotten by driving and sensing each second electrodes, wherein the first electrode opposite to the sensed second electrode is grounded. The coordinates of the touch points are obtained by comparing the first signal curve A, the second signal curve A, the third signal curve B, and the fourth signal curve B.

Method for detecting touch points on a touch panel

When Cis greater than or equal to T, a touch with finger is recognized. When Cis smaller than T, no touch is recognized. When Care greater than or equal to T, a touch with glove is recognized. And when not, no touch is recognized.

Method of recognizing touch

A method for controlling a touch panel is disclosed. A first driving signal is applied to the driving electrodes to obtain a number of first electrical signals corresponding to a number of conductive stripes of touch panel. The first electrical signals are converted into a number of first digital signals by digital analog conversion with a first factor. A second driving signal is applied to a number of driving electrodes to obtain a number of second electrical signals corresponding to a number of button electrodes of the touch panel. The second electrical signals are converted into a number of second digital signals by digital analog conversion with a second factor. The second factor is smaller than the first factor.

Method for controlling a touch panel having button electrodes and sensing electrodes in a same conductive layer

An electronic device includes a shell and a touch panel located in the shell. The touch panel includes a touch sensing unit, a signal transmitting circuit, a signal guiding circuit, a protection unit, and a driving unit. The signal transmitting circuit is electrically connected to the touch sensing unit and the driving unit. The signal guiding circuit surrounds the touch sensing unit and the signal transmitting circuit. The protection unit is electrically connected to the signal guiding circuit and ground. At least one switch signal is outputted from the driving unit and transmitted to the signal transmitting circuit and the signal guiding circuit. An external interference signal is received by the signal guiding circuit and guided to ground via the protection unit.

A touch panel with a transparent conductive layer is provided, the transparent conductive layer comprises a first direction X having relative low impedance, and a second direction Y having a relative high impedance; a number of first conductive terminals Pand a number of second conductive terminals Popposite the first conductive terminals P, are electrically connected to the transparent conductive layer, spaced from each other, and arranged along the X direction. At least two adjacent first conductive terminals P, at least two adjacent second conductive terminals P, or one of the first conductive terminals Pand opposite one of the second conductive terminals Pare simultaneously driven. A number of signals are obtained. The touch point coordinates are obtained by comparing the strengths of the plurality of signals.

Method and apparatus for determining touch point coordinates on a touch panel with anisotropic films

A method for detecting touch spots of a touch panel. In the detecting process, a pulse signal is input into each of a plurality of first driving-sensing electrodes, thereby simulating an RC curve for computing a coordinate of the touch spots, at a high impedance direction. The capacitance C is detected. A coordinate of the touch spot at a low impedance direction is obtained by calculating a ratio of the RC and the capacitance C to obtain the resistance R.

A method for detecting a touch spot of the touch panel includes the following steps. The electrode pairs are scanned along the impedance direction to obtain an electrical signal curve for determining a first coordinate. A number of first driving electrodes and a number of second driving electrodes near the first coordinate are selected. The selected first driving electrodes are scanned to obtain a first sensing signal. The selected second driving electrodes are scanned to obtain a second sensing signal. A second coordinate is determined according to the first and second sensing signals. Finally, the touch spot is determined according to the first and second coordinates.

The disclosure relates to a method for recognizing touch on a touch panel. A first value and a second value are set. Sensing value Cis compared with the first value and the second value. When the sensing value Cis greater than or equal to the first value, a touch with finger is recognized. When the sensing value Cis smaller than the second value, no touch is recognized. When the sensing values Care greater than or equal to the second value and smaller than the first value, following steps are taken. A time period is setting. Touch signals are sensed several times during the time period and a number of maximum sensing values &#x394;Care selected. Average sensing valuesare calculated. When the average sensing valuessatisfy following formula: 0.8&#x2266;&#x394;C&#x2266;1.2, a touch with glove is determined. And when not, no touch is recognized.

The present application relates to a method for adjusting the sensitivity of a touch panel. A look up table is built. The look up table includes a charging station look up table and a discharging station look up table. The charging station look up table includes a threshold value (V) of a touch signal, an electrical quantity (A) corresponding to the threshold value (V), and a computational method g. The discharging station look up table includes the threshold value (V), the electrical quantity (A), and a computational method g. The current electrical quantity and whether the capacitive touch panel is charging are detected.
