A method for controlling an electronic scale in disclosed in this disclosure, which is applied to measure and indicate a state of an external force, comprises the following steps. A weight sensor detects the external force, and a controller drives a prompting device to emit a first light with a first optical characteristic when the external force detected by the weight sensor reaches a first weight. The controller drives the prompting device to emit a second light with a second optical characteristic when the prompting device emits the first light for a predetermined period, wherein the prompting device continuously emits the second light until the external force reaches a second weight.

In some examples, a computing device may include one or more planar speakers. Individual planar speakers may include damping material adhered to either a top surface of a front pole or a bottom surface of a cone. The damping material may reduce a noise caused by the cone hitting the front pole (e.g., when reproducing loud passages in media content) to an inaudible (e.g., 30 db or less) level. The noise may be reduced by up to 35 decibels between about 250 Hertz to about 450 Hertz. The damping material may comprise a polyurethane foam and may have a height of between about 0.1 millimeters to about 1.0 millimeters and preferably about 0.2 millimeters.

A measuring device includes a first body, a second body slidably combined with the first body, a first pressure sensing component, and a control unit. The first body is for supporting a cup receiving liquid. The first pressure sensing component is disposed between the first body and the second body for sensing weight of the cup and the liquid and generating a signal corresponding to the weight. The control unit is electrically connected to the first pressure sensing component. The control unit determines a volume variation of the liquid according to a weight variation of the cup and the liquid calculated based on a difference between signals transmitted from the first pressure sensing component at different time points.

A mechanism device includes a hinge mechanism, a holding base, a guiding member and a fixing member. The holding base is pivoted to the frame by the hinge mechanism and includes a main casing, a first holding casing and a second holding casing. The first holding casing and the second holding casing extend from two opposite sides of the main casing along a direction away from the hinge mechanism, such that the main casing, the first holding casing and the second holding casing cooperatively define a holding slot with openings formed on two sides thereof, so as to hold an electronic device.
