An exemplary lens barrel includes a hollow main body and an abutting portion formed on an outer wall of the hollow main body. The hollow main body includes a first upper end at an object side, and a first lower end at an image side. The hollow main body also includes a central axis passing through the first upper end and the first lower end. The hollow main body further includes an outer screw thread. The outer screw thread is located between the first upper end and the abutting portion. The outer screw thread is spaced apart from the abutting portion. The abutting portion is a closed ring-shaped protrusion extending outwardly from the outer wall along a circumstance of the hollow main body.

Lens barrel and lens module

An assembly tool for assembling a lens tube in a support frame includes a main body and a top cover rotatably connected to the main body. The top cover includes a positioning plate and a fastening assembly rotatably connected to the positioning plate. The fastening assembly includes a fastening member and a restricting member connected to the fastening member, and the fastening member is threaded with the positioning plate. The support frame is positioned on the main body, and the lens tube is positioned on the support frame. The restricting member is capable of engaging with the lens tube, and thus the lens tube is rotated into the support frame by rotating the fastening member.

Assembly tool for assembling lens modules

A lens module includes a first lens and a first spacer. The first lens includes a first optical portion and a first support portion surrounding the first optical portion. The first support portion includes a first upper surface facing an object side of the lens module and a first lower surface facing an image side of the lens module. The first lower surface includes a first annular portion, a slanted annular portion and an inner annular portion. The slanted annular portion is obliquely interconnected between the outer annular portion and the inner annular portion. The first annular portion and the inner annular portion are perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens module. The slanted annular portion faces inwardly of the first lens. The outer shield portion covers the first annular portion. The intermediate shield portion covers the slanted annular portion. The inner shield portion covers the inner annular portion.

Lens module having light-shielding spacer

A spacer includes an object-side surface, an image-side surface, and an outer sidewall. The image-side surface is opposite to the object-side surface. The outer sidewall defines a first cutout and a second cutout. The first cutout and the second cutout penetrate through the object-side surface and the image-side surface. Contours of the first cutout and the second cutout are different from each other.

Spacer and lens module

A lens module includes a lens barrel, a first lens, a second lens, a third lens, and two spacers. The lens barrel includes an object-side end and an image-side end. The first, second, and third lenses are received in the lens barrel and arranged in that order from the object-side to the image-side. One of the two spacers is positioned between the first lens and the second lens, and the other of the two spacers is positioned between the second lens and the third lens. Each of the spacers is chamfered to prevent the ingress of unwanted light.

Lens module with spacers

A lens module includes a lens barrel, a first lens, a second lens, and a spacer. The lens barrel includes an object-side end and an image-side end opposite to the object-side end. The first lens is received in the lens barrel, and adjacent to the object-side end. The second lens is received in the lens barrel, and adjacent to the image-side end in relative to the first lens. The spacer is an annular plate, and includes an object-side surface, an image-side surface opposite to the object-side surface, and an inner sidewall. The spacer is positioned between the first lens and the second lens. The object-side surface faces the first lens, and the image-side surface faces the second lens. The intersection of the object-side surface and the inner sidewall forms a chamfer.

Lens module

A molding device for forming a compact lens barrel includes a first mold part and a second mold part. The first mold part includes a generally cylindrical molding recess with an opening defined at an end thereof. The first mold part has a bottom surface facing toward the opening. A first protrusion is formed on the bottom surface. The first protrusion has a round, first top surface. The second mold part includes a core insert and a second protrusion formed on the core insert. The second protrusion has a round, second top surface. The second mold part is received in the molding recess with the second top surface contacting the first top surface. An annular surface portion of one of the first top surface and the second top surface is exposed. The annular surface portion has a width equal to or less than 0.005 mm.

Molding device for forming compact lens barrel

A loading device includes a number of stacked loading plates and a fixing assembly. Each loading plate is used for loading a number of elements. The fixing assembly fixes the loading plates together. Each loading plate includes a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. A number of spacer blocks protrude from the first surface, forming an interval between two adjacent loading plates. Each loading plate defines a number of through holes passing through the first surface and the second surface. A number of blocks are positioned on the second surface. Each through hole is surrounded by at least three blocks. Each of the at least three blocks has an arc surface facing a corresponding through hole. The arc surfaces of the at least three blocks cooperatively define a groove communicating with the corresponding through hole.
